MJM Plumbing and Heating

They did a great job. First thing they did was put a valve on the line so that it would stop leaking and we could have water to the rest of the house. They took out the old faucet and replaced it with a new one. Works perfectly now. No longer leaking. I called them about this yesterday and they offered to come out yesterday, but I opted for them to do it today. I received a phone call early this morning saying they would arrive at 8:30AM and they were there at that exact time. I will definitely call them again if I have another problem. The price was right too.

They are excellent, a little pricey but excellent.

Very promo and showed up when he said he would. Seemed genuine but I feel it was a rushed job and way over priced for the (lack of) quality of work done. I specifically asked that when the job was complete it would look the same, as if the pipes never leaked and was assured it would. I didn't want debris and garbage left behind. I the finished product looks horrible. My garage ceiling was just thrown back up, the sheet rock was not measure and. Replaced evenly, they left 2 inch gaps in between the pieces. They "mudded" the gaps and it looks awful. When I discussed with him his response was flippant, at best. Told me "it's just a garage". All the pipes that were in the wall were tacked up to the outside of the wall. Copper pipes were replaced with PVC. His workers threw their cigarette butts all over my front yard. Very disappointed for the price I paid. Wish I would have shopped around.

Saved me from pipes bursting in my new home. Came immediately and fixed the issue. Reviewed prevention and what to do if the situation ever were to occur again. Also consulted and provided an estimate for on demand hot water system. Can't say enough about responsiveness.

They responded the same day we called; fixed the problem promptly and successfully; accepted the Angie's List discount posted on the website; answered questions about a few other plumbing issues.

Plumber did good work but kept pushing replacing our furnace which became annoying as we were not interested,

Very prompt response, started on time, good follow up during on going work. Gave priority to restoring service as soon as possible. Was very satisfied with the extra care given to protect a sidewalk and maintain electrical service for an underground power line to a flood light. Did also contract with him for a new furnace, and now involved in estimates for a major renovation. IS very busy, getting a lot of phone calls.

They did a great job. The were up front and honest about what was required and willing to work with me to do what was needed within my budget. Only issue was that they left a mess on the floor in that bathroom but it could have been worse.

MJM did an excellent job. The owner - Mike - was consistently responsive, answering calls immediately and arranging for his plumber to arrive promptly. Dave, the plumber who did the work, was friendly, patient, and effective at problem-solving (given the complexity of the job). His work was done in an efficient amount of time, and he was considerate of the impact of the work on my office functioning (given that the water had to be off for some time). He also cleaned up thoroughly after the work was done. I was very pleased with the entire job, and will gladly call MJM again for plumbing needs.

It went fine . The person was polite and friendly. He showed up when he said he would. I was a little skeptical when he could not find a tear in the front seal the first day that at caused the leak. This caused him to come back another day and more money ..I felt with this persons experience and the commonality of the problem and location of the tear that should have been found immediately. We had that machine torn apart when the problem was right in front of him.........

Fast and courteous

Before I called Angie’s List, I found MJM in the yellow pages. He was kind of abrupt and never called me back. Once I joined, I was given his name again. Once I told him I found him on Angie’s List, he was much more enthusiastic to give me an estimate. His estimate was about 3 times as high as anyone else. He only gave me a verbal quote, and called me about 3 days later. He asked that I called Angie’s List and leave a review for the estimate. He was only interested in the review than on good customer service. I found him obnoxious and abrupt and I would not hire him. He quoted me $169 just to snake the sink. I feel he gave me higher prices just so he wouldn’t have to do the work.

It went well. I made a call then the person returned call same day. They came over the next day. I had a clog in the tub they fixed. Their were pipes in cellar that needed fixed. The plumbing in working great. They also honored the Angie's List discount.

It all went well. He was efficient, knowledgeable, gave me options on how to fix things, friendly. I would definitely use him again. I have to revise this review based on follow up: 2 months ago, I called MJM for a wet spot in the ceiling of a lower tenant's bath. Dave came, looked under the ceiling tile, said there was no leak and that it had probably been a puddle from upstairs. The long-term upstairs tenant is reliable and assures me that there was no water out of the shower or puddled on the floor in the last month. Dave reiterated there was nothing to fix, charged me $98 & left. Fast Forward; the same wet spot in the ceiling is back and bigger. Mike, the company owner, says that the tenants are probably not telling the truth and he'll send Dave out again, no charge, but he doesn't expect to find any leaks. so I found a new plumber.

Mr. Michael Mumassi was extremely professional very attentive to my needs and concerns. The work was done in an extremely timely manner. Very interested in resolving the issue at hand. Lots of communication and details about the happenings. I'm very happy with the service received by this company and will continue to request their services in the future if need be.

This was a number of leaks (old house, about 1915) They located them & had to open walls & ceiling. Cut out old pipes & replaced.

Considering that it was an emergency call, the experience was better than expected. He did not try to sell or repair what did not need repairs. He did advise us about things that could be upgraded and/or corrected in the future, but was not pushy or take advantage of our lack of knowledge. We will definitely be using him again in the future. Price was extremely fair.

Responded promptly to my call. Explained in detail the scope of the work to be done Agreed to do the job the next day. Showed up close to the agreed upon time (30 mins. Late). Worker was very knowledgeable and made every effort to keep the work area and rest of the house clean. Put down plastic so as to not track dirt and mud through the house. Work was completed as described. Received a phone call the next day from the owner asking if we were pleased with the job. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Would use MJM Plumbing again.

Plumber scheduled for same day. I was kept apprised of his estimated arrival time. Job was done professionally and quickly.

It looked easy at first. The circuit was turned off and the when turned back on, the boiler fired right up,..but nothing's ever that easy right. There was a little fireball that engulfed the circulating pump. The breaker was turned off again, and went to work, replaced circulating pump and thawed frozen zones. Immediate response. Arrival within 20 minutes of late emergency call in sub-zero temperatures. Assessed the problem and went to work at getting heat to the building right away. Knowing MJM is just a phone call away allows me to sleep at night knowing they can solve any plumbing catastrophy life throws at me. WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, CALL SOMEONE WHO WON'T FAIL YOU...MJM!

Excellent! This was an emergency call and a technician was on site within an hour. Investigation and remediation of issue took approximately another hour.. Professional, courteous, and helped me to understand why issue occurred as well as how to prevent future similar issues.

They were very good. It went very well, everything was very good.

Answered phone immediately when I called. Gave an approximate arrival time and arrived at that time. Friendly and professional service. Worked quickly and cleaned up area before they left. Suggested helpful improvements.

I contacted them for my 85 year old mother. Her Gould pump was coming on about every five minutes. They advertised that they serviced Gould pumps and that they had been in business since 1965. On the first day, they were very responsive and knowledgable about the problem. They determined that the pump was kicking on due to a leak. Since there was no visable leak, they decided that the leak was underground and that they would return the next day to begin digging. The price quoted was $85 per hour and if they had to bring in equipment there would be an additional charge. The first order of business was to locate the well. My mother had lived in this double wide for over thirty years and the location of the well was never marked. She told them where she believed it to be but they did not begin digging there. Instead they started under the house. To do this, they tore off the skirting and cut through the framework that held the skirting. They had to remove shrubs and cut down her birch tree. The pipe and well were finally located (where she said it was). The pipe was, in fact, leaking. I believe that they were very knowlegable about the plumbing issues and corrected the problem. The issue that I have with them is the destruction that they left behind. They charged $1800 for a day's work including parts and labor. Now my mother is faced with additional costs to jack up front of double-wide, replace framework and skirting, fill-in fairly large hole in front of structure and replant shrubs, grade and reseed front lawn, remove limbs from spruce tree that was broken by equipment, clean dirt and mud that was tracked in driveway and through carport. The well was capped and although it will always be known where the well is located, the pipe was installed very crooked. In summary, I believe they are good plumbers but would not recommend them due to the mess that was left behind.

I wasn't sure why I had water on my cellar floor. I actually thought it might be seepage from a broken outside pipe. They quickly determined it was a sewer backup and cleaned out the pipes. They were very professional and cleaned up nicely when done. I did have to call them back in a couple days to repeat the cleaning because it started backing up again, but they came promptly and didn't charge anything for the return call.
