Mister Sparky

He said he will be back in 20 mins. I I was still waiting for him to come It took him 1 hr and 15 mins. I cancel the job.

Took apart circuit breaker panel, 2 breakers had blown, required improperly wired outdoor boxes that connected to indoor rooms. Came at 4 PM, stayed until 8:15PM! Impressive! Coming back on Tues. Highly recommend. Also, their phone personnel, Renee, was excellent, calling me back when the service had a free man, 2 days ahead of original appointment. MD came in, covered his shoes, and was immaculate! After a sequence ofI unprofessional workmen, this was a pleasure! As electricians go, we knew this wasn't going to be cheap, but it could have been worse! We felt pricing was fair for excellent work done! MD is due to return tomorrow, July 29, to find the break in our outdoor lighting or move the outdoor electrical box to a different location. He is also going to retire our circuit breaker box to code.. I am sure it will be well done!

I called regarding a whole house fan and an air conditioning problem. (They wouldn't be able to address the latter, but immediately gave me the number of someone who could.) I was able to get an appointment for a few days out, and was very pleased. The technician was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Before saying it was a lost cause, he called a supplier (?) to see if by chance they could help. (They couldn't. This thing is O-L-D.) The tech also explained to me how to proceed if I was able to track down a specific part. Just a really great experience, despite it not going quite as I had hoped! I should also mention that I had to call prior to the appointment to clarify some of the info I had provided. I received a return phone call the following morning, verifying all the details. I really appreciated that!

The upstairs light had gone out so we called Mr. Sparky. Kevin found the problem fairly quickly and fixed it. He also notice a cable in the basement that was stripped bare, and diagnosed several other problems. He was prompt, informative and courteous.

Didnt go well After telling him what I wanted done, the prices was way to high. Needed a nonworking bathrook exhaust fan fixed or replaced. Cost to just fined out the problem, 149 and over 500 to install a new one, regardless of what model or brand! No worth my time

A great experience. From taking my call, arriving at my door step and leaving. I felt like I had a real professional in my home who cared about us and took pride in what they do.

The job done exceeded our expectations! We were able to keep our matching vanity lights and medicine cabinet, with the brand new appliance inserted into the original frame and reflectors. We had spent hours trying to find a matching light fixture - in stores and on-line - and finally settled on an all-metal similar fixture. That the electrician took the time to combine the new fixture into the exisiting frame was remarkable and well appreciated. This included cutting metal to make the fit exact. With the overhead utility light, we were delighted that this electrician discovered the defective switch, and made sure that everything was working, without charging extra for diagnosing or replacing the defective switch. The electrician was extremely friendly, easy to talk with, and clear with his description and cost of each job. We look forward to using his services again.

Uriel was the technician and he was very professional and competent. As the second floor is finished they had to snake the wires through the attic and walls. Somehow they did the whole second floor with only three or four small holes, pretty miraculous. Uriel treated my home as if it was his own. Also, Renee the receptionist is very sweet and helpful. Overall a great experience. I will use Mister Sparky again.

They could have done better, but they were not bad. The guy was personable and spent a lot of time and effort to do the job. He could have put the hanging wires through some beams. He was very neat. The prices were fair. I might use them again.

We were very happy overall with how things went. Kevin did the work for us . He was very friendly, very professional, and most importantly, he knew what he was doing. He also cleaned up after he was done and made sure things were as he had found them. He arrived on time and began surveying the job to be done. The house is a high ranch, so there are steps immediately upon entering the house. The ceiling is about 13-15 feet high, and the light fixture is right above the steps. So, the hard part is being able to work on the fixture safely. Kevin knew just what to do in order to both work safely and still accomplish the task. Our only concern was with the price. It turned out to be significantly higher than the original estimate. We were a bit put off by that. Kevin explained to us (and showed us in his book), that the price was based on the height of the ceiling. When all was said and done, we were happy with the work, but we just wish we knew about the price increase ahead of time.

The first thing that was done was information that customers pay by the job not by the hour. This was a rude awakening. The electrician was professional and efficient. We then got an estimate on work we were thinking about doing and were told it would be $6,000. Beware of paying by the job. We paid about $400 for about 30 minutes of actual work because we paid by the job.

I bought a Big Deal and called them when I had enough things to do. Interestingly, they are a franchise and are not all run by the same people. The electrician who came out to us was punctual, helpful, polite and cleaned after himself. My experience was a really, really positive one. I would use them again, but the only issue I have with them is that regularly, they have a menu of options and pricing for each service or type of job they do. When I looked at those prices, I realized that had I not used the Big Deal coupon, I would not have been happy at all with their pricing as they seemed very expensive. I have would argue that it's better to let consumers know your rates before they arrive by posting them on your web or offer to charge by the hour and give standardized hour estimates for different types of jobs. The main problem I have with them is that the Big Deal gave me a few hours worth of work and had I called the company directly, they would have charged me significant amounts for each of the three things they did. Angie's List made it affordable, but otherwise it would have been too expensive to use them. Besides, I actually have no way of comparing as their rates aren't listed on their website.

Job went well. Do price things first before calling them.

The estimate I originally got was a bit high, but when I mentioned that another company offered a better price, Mister Sparky adjusted the estimate to just about the same price. The work was done that same day, and everything was completed to my satisfaction. The technician did everything he was asked to do in an efficient manner. I will use Mister Sparky again in the future.

Everything was fantastic. The service man was knowledgeable and friendly. They were ahead of on time. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

The job was done but not worth the price. I received a call from Renee of Mr. Sparky and she was very concerned about our experience. After hearing our side she promptly refunded almost half our money. I truly thought that was very fair and good customer relations. I will definitely rethink using them in the future. As I stated originally I had no problem with the quality of the work done. I just thought the presentation of the final bill was not professional.

They had to come twice and there was no need to come twice. We had the bulbs and everything. They didn’t do the balance right or something. We had to rearrange our schedule twice when it was due to their faults.

We were very happy with Mister Sparky. They were very good, nice, and they cleaned up everything.

They showed up on time. They did the work they said they would do. I can’t prove it, but according to their advertising they do drug testing which is something I think all contractors should do; as well as make sure they are proper documentations to work in this country.

They were very neat and efficient. He explained everything before he did the work. They were very good. I was very pleased.

I guess it turned out okay. He didn’t have the right piece for a switch that he was putting on. He was courteous. The work turned out alright.
