I reached out through Angie's list and received a prompt response almost two weeks ago. I indicated that I was in a bit of a time crunch and she replied quickly. However, that is where the timeliness and responsiveness ended. I was asked to reach out via phone. I left a message over the weekend and after not receiving a call back left another early the next week (again I was in a time crunch). I received a voicemail indicating she was very busy but could come on Thursday (or Wednesday i cannot recall exactly) and look at the work that needed to be done and if all was copacetic after she gave me a quote she could come later that week and perform the work. I ignored the delay in response because I was desperate to have the work finished so as not to delay another contractor. However, no one ever showed up. I understand that everyone gets busy, but if you can't perform the work don't say you can. I let them know I needed it done fast, if that wasn't possible just be honest. I obviously can't speak to the quality of work, which from other reviews appears to be very well done. Perhaps the best bet is to have them do work when they are not so busy or when you can wait to coordinate a time.

She was friendly and did a very good job. She went above and beyond my expectations.

Barbara did an excellent job and I will be happy to refer her to my friends and relatives. Our drain pipe had totally corroded and she had her own truck full of materials and put a good quality pipe on in a couple of hours. She is experienced and I loved having a woman plumber handling things, nice change from the men plumbers. I don't want to use anyone else from now on if I have any plumbing problems. Very reasonably priced and a pleasure to have in my house.

They took to long responding so I used someone else.

The removal of the old toilet and the installation of the new one went very smoothly and was accomplished in a relatively short period of time. Barbara is both very knowledgeable an capable. She has done work for us on prior occasions, and we have always been pleased with the results. The premises are always left clean with all debris removed. Her prices have always been fair and better than competitive.

She was great. She was very professional, called before she arrived and was on time. Took no time, got right to work and did a great job.

She was easy to get in touch with, came over to assess the job, made recommendations for how to best seal off the pipe (a casualty of the basement rip-out after Hurricane Sandy) and where best to put the sink, set a time to come back and do the work the next day, arrived early that day and completed the job with efficiency and friendly good humor, including cleanup that went above and beyond. This was the second time she did work for us, and we can't recommend her highly enough. Great work, professional service, accurate estimate and excellent pricing, just wonderful to deal with all around. We'll unquestionably be using her services again.

Barbara saved the day again. Over this past cold winter one of our pipes burst. Luckily it was just a pipe for my backyard watering. I asked Barbara to come over and fix it so I could plant my garden and water all my plants. She came over and assessed the situation. She gave me 2 options of types of pipes from which to choose; replace the same pipe or replace with a pipe that was less likely to burst in the future. Although the 2nd choice was more expensive I decided to go with the pipe less likely to freeze again. I will continue to use Barbara as she is always fair and explains what she is doing and gives me options. My backyard plants and I are happy again!

Cancelled the appointment twice. Difficult to contact, and when finally showed up, the price quoted was outrageous. Did not bother to contact or use the service.

She also purchased the wrong water heater - one that was too tall. That, along with flooding my basement with 50 gallons of water was too much. I asked her to go and to take the wrong water heater with her. I was penalized a $100 service charge. So I ended up paying $100 for the privilege of having my basement flooded. She never apologized - ever. All she kept saying was that it wasn't her fault. I hired her because of all the good reviews on Angie's List and because she was a woman. I made a huge mistake.

My shower made very loud banging noises whenever the washing machine was on at the same time. Nobody could figure out what was wrong. Barbara did not give up until she figured out a solution. She installed cold and hot water shock eliminators on washing machine. When she was finished, she also snaked the pipes connected to my sump pump, and also reinstalled and raised the sump pump. She worked for several hours. She is very efficient, and very good at what she does. Her prices are also very fair.

Arrive my place fairly on time on the date of appointment. take a look at under the work area, the parts that I provided and quote me a fair price. The job broken down to two part. First the disconnect and remove the existing faucet. Install the faucet I provided. This part she quote me a very fair price. Second part of the job, install the reverse osmosis water filter system, she explained that its not the unit she use to and it would take her sometime to get it done right. This part of the job would be 120/hr. She estimated somewhere about 2hrs to complete. FYI there are hundreds of water filter system out there, and I got a 5 stage RO system, It is a bit complicated system but not bad. I am happy that she is willing to try and I think her estimate of time is right on the spot. (unlike the previous plumbing service I try to use and the guy just BS and ran out the door) I agree and she proceed to work. First part of the job done in about an hour or so. She did encounter some issue due to some buildup and rust with the old faucet. however she done it beautifully. She also took out the instant hot water unit and the soap dispenser that my wife dying to get rid of and cap the extra hole on the sink with a cover. Second part of the job is tricky and not an easy task. took us a few min to figure out how and where, and the dispensing faucet isn't exactly a perfect fit with the existing hole on the sink. But we figure it out and adapt, The system works and no leaks. I am happy with her service and my wife will be happy with the newly installed equipment. I will recommend her to anyone and will reuse her service for any plumbing needs.

Barbara knew exactly what the problem was the minute she saw the stain on or kitchen ceiling and two hours later it was all done! Very professional! We will definitely use her again if needed.

I spoke to Barbara on the phone and made an appointment for 6pm. I wound up being available early so i called her and told her and she she could be here between 2-4pm which i said just call before you come which she did. I had removed a tub enclosure and retilled the tube area and now the copper pipe from the wall that provides water into tube was to short. Barbara said she would cut the pipe put a coupler on it and then another piece of pipe to bring it out further. Barbara brought in a tarp to cover the bathtub and began to work. After about 1/2 hour she was down tested pipe which was perfect then put caulk around spout and cleaned up and left. Excellent work for a fair price and great communication. Recommend very highly

Barbara took her time diagnosing the problem and making sure we didn't have another source of our leak. She was experienced and honest and you could tell she really wanted to help and do the job right rather than just try to get the job done as quickly as possible. I am grateful to have found her.

We were happy with the results. We would probably use her again. I thought the price was a little high for replacing two valves since it was done in one hour, but not much higher than I thought it would be. Overall, good job done.

Wonderful. Barbara is a real professional. She is an incredibly hard worker. This was a difficult job because the radiator was ancient and it took a lot of work to separate the old parts from the radiator. The vanity is located in a small space that is hard to work in and one of the doors will not open. Her prices were very reasonable and the work is high quality. She is an excellent plumber and we would hire her again in a minute.

Professional, neat and effective. Takes pride in her work. Her petite size makes it possible for her to get into awkward spaces that would be difficult if not impossible for the average male.

Barbara was amazing! Extremely friendly and knowledgable. She hit a few unexpected snags but stayed until the job was finished. Absolute pleasure to deal with. Will definitely call her again for any future plumbing needs.

She installed it for me, she did a great job, and had a great sense of humor.

We had a bathroom that was falling apart. Barbara came in and replaced all the plumbing and fixed the leaky shower (it was raining in our basement every time someone took a shower) We went from a corner stall shower to a full length of the room stall shower. Barbara helped design the layout and we couldn't be happier. We feel like we are in a resort every time we shower. In addition, Barbara has done a lot of work for us in the past. Not only has she done fixing of leaks here and there and replacement of faucets but she has come and fixed burst pipes and put a pump in the basement. We had problems in the past with water in the basement but since Barbara placed the pump in the basement it has been dry. It even remained dry during Hurricane Sandy! Thankfully we had a generator to keep the pump going. We have been using her for 20 years and would not use anyone else. She is the best!

Willing and able to come during a snowstorm (major plus!). Arrived slightly outside of her planned window, but given the snow, this was completely reasonable. And she called to update us on her ETA, allowing me to go on with my work. Once the project started, she worked quickly and quietly. Gave updates on the project as she discovered new issues or had to go to the store to get more parts. Finished the project on time and under budget. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely be calling on Barbara's services again soon!

I've used Barbara several times now and she is amazing!!! Very professional and reasonably priced. I recommend her to anyone that has a plumbing issue.

The faucet was rebuilt with new washers and springs.

I spoke with Barbara a few times to try and arrange for her to come to repair my gas fireplace. When I left her a message she returned my call right away. Both times she was supposed to come she was not able to make it. She did call, but called either right before or after she was scheduled to come. She is a very nice woman and apologized for the inconvenience. We agreed in the end I should find someone who was better equipt to deal with gas fireplaces to handle my issue.
