Barbara was phenomenal. A true professional dedicated to her craft and excellent customer service. We had a custom toilet that stopped working, and a leaky faucet in the same bathroom. She reached out right away after requesting a quote through Angi, and she came the same day. At first she told us that the toilet required a part she’d have to order, and after fiddling with the faucet, recommended the 15 year-old fixture be replaced. I offered to purchase it from Home Depot or Lowe’s she agreed to come back to replace the old one and install it in 3 days. After she left, she called me back and asked if she can return because she figured out how she could try to fix the toilet with existing parts she had in her truck. She did it. The toilet is functioning better than it did before the problems began! She then returned 3 days later as promised to replace the bathroom faucet, a complicated project because of the cabinet structure that she stuck with and skillfully completed. On a personal note. We bonded once I asked about the name of the company, which her father, who founded the company, named after his Navy ship. My dad also served in the Navy. Barbara kept me regularly posted about when she’d arrive and the progress of the work. She was true to her word. I’d gladly paid her for her excellent work.

She was an angel! Worked on Easter holiday weekend. Saved the day! Great work!

Barbara Barnagat is an excellent plumber and I highly recommend her. Very knowledgeable, conscientious, pleasant, efficient and cleaned up everything in the basement very nicely when she was finished. I would absolutely use her services again. She’s a lovely person, too.

Barbara was excellent. She found the leak and made the repairs and so far so good. Barbara explained our options clearly and she stuck with the job until it was done to both our satisfaction and she didn’t leave a mess. The leak from the toilet is gone and our new faucet is working perfectly. My daughter thought it was great that the lady plumber fixed everything. We would definitely use her services again. Our toilet flapper had a problem last summer and a handyman tried to help us fix it as a favor to us while doing another job in our home. He said that he was missing a small key part from our supplies, but he did his best. So then we called in another plumbing co. to help tweak it back to 100%. More $$ and it still was not up to par by co #2. So then we tried to fix it ourselves, which lasted a few months fine. But then, it when it went totally kaput. Yikes! So we let it sit for a month, completely useless to all. Finally yesterday we woke up and said that THIS is the day that we will get this properly fixed!!!! I reviewed many Anglie's List reviewer's comments and narrowed it down to Barnagat. I bought the necessary items early that AM to make sure that the supplier had them in stock. Then I reached out to Barbara and was so appreciative that she was able to take my call because I had little time remaining to meet all timelines. I explained to her our needs, our timeframes, etc. I told her our main job was the toilet but we had a few side jobs too if possible, all upfront. She called us back shortly afterwards, after she managed to change her schedule around to meet our time needs, which we greatly appreciated!!! She called prior to the agreed upon arrival time to responsibly notify us that she was minimally delayed, just as the others had previously mentioned. She was professional, polite, warm, friendly, and caring. She is very genuine. I have waited a full day to hold off on writing this review to confirm that it was done accurately (after usage), and indeed it surely was. We are nothing but grateful to Barbara for her help from A to Z and will surely call on Barbara again in the future. Thank you so much Barbara!!!!

Barbara graciously took a look at the leak when she came by to give us an estimate for a whole house water filter install. We called her back a week later to fix the leak. Barbara showed up on time and was up front about how she planned to fix the problem, any additional costs should the planned approach didn't work, and other alternatives. She was able to fix the leak in 30 mins and we no longer have to worry about water behind the walls.

She’s wonderful. Each step along the way informed us of what she found, choices, costs. I will definitely use her again for any plumbing problem.

I was very impressed with Barnagat Plumbing. Barbara Barnagat and her son were here for over four hours; it was a challenging job and they stuck with it and got it done! They were polite, prompt, professional, and good-humored. (And I also really liked how they treated each other with utmost respect!) I felt that the price was fair, given the time and work that needed to be done. I would hire them again without reservation.

Based on reviews I read on Angies List, I called up Barbara to see if she could help with a burst water pipe outside my house; I had turned it on last weekend, and realized I hadn't winterized properly. She came a couple of hours later, and then went to work right away to fix it. Looks great, and everything is working perfectly. Could not have imagined anything better... came right away, fixed it right away, and all done at a fair price. Thank you!

Barbara called me back and after hearing a description knew the problem. Although she could not help she referred me to someone who could. Would hire her for future projects.

Barbara changed her schedule around to help me out. She was responded quickly. She was professional, nice and knowledgeable. Her pricing was very fair and she did everything she said she would do and cleaned up after herself after. I have a new plumber for life!

They would not come out to give a quote without a $125 premise visit plus additional “assessment fees.” Never had this happen before where someone charges for an estimate without even speaking to me on the phone about a general outline of what work might need to be done and what methods might be used. The person on the phone just said “yeah, we can do it,” but we have to charge you for an estimate.

Barbara was wonderful....got the job done within an hour and graciously agreed to check out three other plumbing issues I needed advice on. She was prompt, neat, efficient, personable and fairly priced. Couldn’t ask for more!

It went well. Barbara came when she said she would and so did the person she works with separately to do the demolition needed and reconstruction. She came back when things weren’t perfect and she fixed them. All in all, no complaints and I am very pleased with the work.

She said that the faucet has to be changed. The cost would be $350 plus we have to buy the fixture. It would be another $75 to change something else and depending on the fixture it could be another $75 for something else. Total estimate about $600 plus the fixture. My brother came over and he tightened the valve and the leak is fixed.

It was wonderful. I use this term because I wasn’t confident in the successful outcome. I had previously hired a drain clearing company and the problem seemed fixed for a few days. All five feet tall Barbara came over, diagnosed the problem. The pipe in the basement had to be cut out and replaced. The location was tricky and there was heavy work to be done, such as moving a semi filled washing machine. Barbara (owner/plumber) said she’d take care of ot and SHE DID!!! She saved the old pipe for us to inspect and we couldn’t believe the corrosion and blockage inside the pipe. The cost was extremely reasonable compared to other prices I received. Four months later and the drains are still working great. I would never call anyone else, other than Barabara. Her father was a plumber. He taught her well. Jeff Price

We hired Barbara to fix the kitchen sink, install a valve in the bathroom sink, and repair the shower in the upstairs bathroom. On a second trip, she installed new outside spigots to the back and front of the house. Everything's working great and she was on time and reasonable in price.

Barbara installed a new kitchen faucet and strainer plus had to make some changes under the sink with pipes/connections. (Just had new sink and countertops installed) We have used Barnagat Plumbing several times. She listens when you tell her the problem and then offers options - some times only an adjustment is needed and not a total replacement. We are 100% satisfied with her work and appreciate her honesty when it comes to providing options for fixing a plumbing problem.
