This was my first experiance using Angie's List but wont be my last if these are the kind of quality companies you have in your arsenal. I could not have been more satisfied with the service I received. Everything involved was explained to me up front and the cost connected to if for me to decided if it was a go. Job well done and in a timely manner.

She showed up when she said she would. She offered an estimate for the replacement of the sink before she began. I also showed her my other two issues, the outdoor faucet and the leaky drain. We spent about 5-10 minutes looking at the outdoor faucet issue, and it turned out that I didn't have both valves open at the same time, so no charge. She replaced the sink faucet successfully, neatly and quickly, and it works and feels and looks great. She suggested a fix for the leaky drain and didn't need to replace anything, so the cost was low. Barbara was very pleasant to work with and I would definitely call her again for any plumbing issue.

Barbara called to let me know she was running late. She repaired all problems, which other plumbers did not repair correctly. I definitely recommend Barnagat Plumbing and will use it in the future.

Barbara came the next day like she said she would. She fit me in while she was doing another job so she came when she could. I had two radiators leaking and she stopped the leak on both. Had to come back the next day for one to change the pipe and "fins". There was a problem with the radiator cover not going back on but that wasn't her fault and she tried her best to fix it. Barbara knows her stuff and is honest and fair in her pricing. At that visit we made arrangements for her to come back a week later to fix another problem I was having with the water heater. The appointment time was for 9:00 AM and she was very late but she called to let me know. I think that Barbara is very busy but she is organized, courteous, and certainly worth the wait. I would use her again in a minute and would recommend her to anyone who needs help with any plumbing issues.

We made an appointment and she was on time. Barbara gave me a reasonable quote for the job and kept to the price. She handled the job professionally, quickly and cleaned up very well. She's a nice person to deal with and I will definitely hire her again and refer her, as well.

Everything went very well. Barbara came when she said she would and immediately got to work. All necessary replacement parts were in her truck and in one hour the work was done. Barbara charged a fair price. She is neat and tidy and explains everything she's doing as she goes along. She is very considerate of your home and pets. I found her professional in every way. Plus she is very likable and trustworthy. This isn't the first time I've used Barbara. She installed baseboard heating in my living and dining rooms last fall which came out perfectly. Also it's very refreshing to meet a female plumber who, having been in the business for many years, knows her trade. I will continue to use Barbara and recommend her to anyone at any time.

removal of corroded cast iron piping , replacement with PVC piping went very well.

Barbara is a super plumber. She found the water pipe that burst from the freezing weather. She found a way to repair the leak without doing anymore damage to the bathroom tiles. The pipe was in an extremely difficult place to reach. I was very pleased with here work.

We received a quote of 1,400 dollars which was the lowest bid so we hired our selfs a truely hard working woman thats been doing this for some 30 yrs. A problem arose when my wife and I bought vanities that required extra work that was not in the original price. She had to come to my house and work an extra day using more of her materials but she was very nice about it. She seemed to like us and us her, so she only charged us the original price. I could not be more pleased.

Barbara was able to help us locate a very troublesome leak in our shower. She was fast and thorough and we were extremely pleased with the job she did.

On time and fixed issue. Very professional. She disconnected the cast iron radiator that was causing the problem and tested the line and cleaned out all connections. After she reconnected everything, the heat was back up and running in that room again.

The shower faucets are very old but Barbara had the parts that needed changing. She was very professional and even explained what she was doing. I am very happy with the repair. I don't have to hear the dripping water any more.

I reached out and received a call back in a timely manner. We set a tentative appointment on Friday, November 01. She called ahead and said she would not be able to make it. We rescheduled the appointment for the following Monday morning. As I commute into Manhattan, she understood the appointment needed to be in the morning. We set the time at 10am. At 1045am, on Monday, I called to see where she was. I got the office voicemail. A few moments later she did call back and said she forgot about the appointment. I was very disappointed and did not allow myself to reschedule. As first impressions go in customer service, this was an awful first impression and not inclined to give another chance.

I called and left message on Monday, 9/30. Barbara called back within two hours. I described my problem with running toilet. She offered to come by and appraise the situation. She came by Monday afternoon and gave me free consultation. Advised me which replacement toilet to buy. Even recommended a supply company that gave me a low price (better than anything I saw online). I bought the toilet on Tuesday. Barbara picked it up from the supply company and installed it on Wednesday. She charged exactly what she quoted to me on Monday - $270 plus tax.

I couldn't be happier. After Sandy, I had so much damage to my house which the insurance hasn't fully covered yet, so I was horrified to find out I had a leak in my basement which was not Sandy related. I looked up Angie's list and called. I choose Barbara because I was curious and wanted a woman to have a shot. As I've been having different contractors come and go both doing work on the house and estimates, I got the sense as a woman I wasn't being taken seriously sometimes. Barbara came an evaluated the situation, checked out all the possible cause of the leak/s. I definitely needed my toilet changed as it was constantly running water and had damaged the bowl. Malverne water quality is terrible, you could not clean the bowl, so I had already decided to replace the bowl at some point, so now was the time. Barbara felt the problem was with the toilet, so we agreed I'd order the replacement toilet (I had previously found it on line) and I'd call and schedule an appointment for the installation. Barbara turned off the water supply to the toilet before leaving. Day of service: When Barbara arrived (and she called ahead to say she's on her way) she went over the next steps, what she needed and then got to work. The next time I spoke to her was to tell me was finished and we'd check for any further leakages. There were none and if there's toilets in heaven it must look like this one! I had nightmares of the plumbing problems that could be around the corner - it just turned out previous owner abused the toilet and it wasn't installed correctly. I'm definitely calling Barbara back to do some repair work on my kitchen faucet set, I'm presently looking for a part/brand. I'm so happy, I recommend her with pleasure.

She kept me informed of possible pitfalls, asked if i wanted to change parts or keep as is for later date. Otherwise she was more than willing to keep cost down, depending on what i wanted done. She was also good at troubleshooting with vanity (drawers should've been on other side to fit properly, granite top was missing two inserted bolts to install sink). She did require my assistance to remove old vanity from house and clean-up prior to installing new vanity (which may have contributed to lower price).

Barbara is very thorough in her work and sincere in her advice or suggestions. She replaced our fixtures neatly and for a fair price. The leak took a while to diagnose but she tried every tactic she knew before it finally stopped (more caulking needed near the shower door). She is not just the emergency plumber you call - she is one who you'd call for big projects and recommend to others.

Barbara was great! She knew the problem would be from only one of two causes, and very quickly determined which cause it was. She made the necessary repair quickly, efficiently, and without a mess. Barbara was friendly, professional, and happy to share related advice. We'll definitely call her the next time we need a plumber.

I left a message on a Sunday evening. Barbara called me the next morning and arranged an appointment for later that afternoon. She was a little late (maybe 15 minutes), but she did call me ahead of time to advise that a previous job was taking longer than expected. I appreciated the courtesy. When she arrived I explained that I wasn't sure if the slow tub drain was due to a broken stopper or a clogged drain. She disconnected the stopper, a type that I had never seen before, and one she said she would never install or recommend (it came with the house). She felt that was part of the problem. She snaked that drain as well as the sink drain. She worked very quickly and efficiently.

Ms. Barnegat took quite awhile responding to our initial call, but reported that she was busy with Storm work. Once contacted, she was pleasant, responsible, and gave us a neat replacement faucet.

Barbara came over within 24 hours and began the work immediately. She came back a second day because the pipe had to drain and be dry enough to solder. She was professional and friendly. I will use her again, and recommend her to friends.

I called Barnagat Plumbing when I discovered my basement was under about 2" of water throughout. The Owner, Barbara, called me back within 10 minutes. She said that she would be happy to come over and look into my problem. She arrived promptly at 11:30 as promised. She was very friendly, explained that she had been in business for over 30 years when she joined her father in the family business. Barbara very efficiently found the source of the problem which turned out to be a rotted section of galvanized piping. She was able to remove a section of piping and eliminate the leak. I found the experience with Barnagat Plumbing to be very positive on all accounts. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

After hurricane sandy it was difficult to find a plumber on Long beach. Barnegat plumbing was the only plumber that called back and came the same day. Barbara explained that she had an appointment ahead of us but would come after that. She was very professional and efficient in checking out our hot water heater and fixing the problem.
