Todd did an excellent job completely remodeling our kitchen. Many *behind the wall problems* that Todd fixed as the job progressed. Todd has great attention to fine detail that is reflected in the final great outcome. I would definitely hire Stallmer & Sun again. Excellent Job!!! I would highly recommend this contractor.

Todd Stallmer weatherized my attic, inside walls and outside walls. Revented my exhaust fan from the attic to the soffit vent. Replaced my thermostat, shower head and much more. They performed a blower door test before and after the work and it showed a 55% increase in air sealing. What he said needed to be done was completed fully. I was extremely impressed and extremely satisfied with the work that was done. They are excellent professional workers, precise, have great communication with customer. If I needed any other work in weatherization, I would not hesitate to hire him again and would not hesitate to recommend Todd and his crew to my friends and family if this type of work is needed. Cannot wait to see my energy savings this year compared to last year.

I live in a 100+ year old home on the west side of Saratoga and needed to have old basement insulation removed to expose the beams for inspection and add foam to the rim joists. They also removed a coal bin and another unneeded wood structure. Todd and Greg answered my questions, advised me on several issues, showed up on time, worked diligently, and exceeded my expectations. They marked any beams that appeared to need attention. They cleaned up all the mess from this project. I hope to hire them again for some work in my attic. E. Freeman, Saratoga Springs NY

Todd, the owner, was not able to work on our project the first week, but Greg and Zach worked very hard. They insulated every part of the house including the "ceiling" and walls of 2 crawl spaces, the walls, the attic and used spray foam to seal the rim. This was a big job and it took longer than was anticipated, mainly because of the extremely tight area of one of the crawl spaces. It was so small that another company told us they wouldn't be able to get in to do the work. Todd's was not the lowest quoted price, but he was planning to do a lot more than his competitors and we figured we were going to do this just one in our lifetimes, so we may as well do it right. They did not rush through it to save time. It took longer, but it was done right. One reassuring thing was that before and after photos were taken. This was really important to me since I could not get into the places where work was being done and it would have been easy for a contractor to say, for example, that insulation had been blown into the walls, but I would never really know unless I was there actually watching because the siding is put back up and it doesn't look any different than before. Very honest. I appreciated Todd's communication in a timely and thorough manner. At times this was via email and other times he called me to answer questions. This was a large, expensive project and we do not yet know what the resulting cost savings and comfort level will be in the house going forward, but I believe that every possible detail was taken care of to help us achieve better comfort and efficiency with the house. I will not hesitate to recommend Todd and his crew to my friends and family if they need this type of work done.

Very professional veteran-owned business. These guys worked methodically and took their time. They used a FLIR to find air passages, foamed them closed, and then blew in the cellulose. They took pictures (before and after) of the trouble spots and showed them to me when complete. Cost was exactly what they estimated/quoted. Very happy with the results. Strongly recommend.

Todd and Greg were great. They were extremely through and honest about what energy improvements I could do myself and what might be worth getting a professional. They explained everything well and in simple terms. Todd was easy to contact and kept us updated on the progress of the report. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an energy audit!

I fully recommend Todd and Greg. We had a few quotes and it seems that the industry is packed with people who seem to have the motto foam baby foam without much science behind their application. Sometimes the application is harmful to the house and sometimes it is just too expensive to get a return on your heating bill. Most companies do not want to seal penetrations. It is like they only want to do flashy work, not tedious, dirty practical work. There are also environmental and health concerns with standard foaming. You have to evacuate your house temporarily. Sure it is an option but not for everyone. The great thing about Todd is that he is knowledgeable about all the options. He advised combining sealing penetrations, strategic placement of foam board to reduced outside air entering the attic in porch and garage areas, and using blown-in cellulose insulation. It's a bit more complicated than that but that is the gist of things. Todd came to our house to do an estimate. He was often very quiet as he evaluated our house's individual needs. His brain was ticking away, taking in your situation to come up with a house-specific plan. This is way different than the foam baby foam guys who seem to have it all figured out with just a superficial look and chattered none-stop about inane subjects. Todd also has a teaching background in regards to house construction which helps tremendously in figuring out what went wrong when your house was constructed. Once Todd has processed our house's deficiencies, he presented us with the options. We had a lot of back and forth conversation before and after the initial contract was written by Todd. We sometimes asked very educated questions had received an educated response. We sometimes asked extremely basic questions and received a thoughtful response. All this was done with Todd having the patience of a saint. Once the contract was in itâs final form, we understood completely what the process would entail and what we were getting for our money. The contract was detailed, nothing like contracts we have had before with home improvement projects. Throughout the project, Todd or Greg would send us pictures of the process so that we were fully aware or what they were doing and we have a digital record for future reference. Our âcreep detectorsâ didn't go off. I am referring to that feeling when less than reputable people are in your presence. Todd and Greg were like friends, people we trusted in our house. They were neat, left no messes behind for us to clean up. After the job was essentially finished, Todd fixed a problem with our roof ridge vent because our roofer was too busy to come back and finish it himself! We were abandoned after the final payment to the roofer. You know that story... Humidity would have built up in our attic, causing damage, if Todd didn't take a chance with possibly offending the roofer. He knew we would never stir up trouble for him with the roofer so he did the ri

The attic of our house was converted to living space by a previous owner but it was never properly insulated. It would reach 80+ in the summer and low 60s in the winter even with AC and heat. Space is now more comfortable BUT it is full of mold. We hired a mold remediation company and he said that it was because the attic does not have a vent or a fan and cannot breathe. We even asked Mr. Stallmer about adding venting and he said we did not need it! So, the $3500 job for insulation is going to cost us another $5000+ in mold remediation and ventilation.
