I was extremely pleased with the work Jason did. I had a number of electrical items I wanted addressed and found Jason to be very informative and honest. I also wanted to add a motion sensor light in the garage and questioned the placement of a couple of GFI outlets within the home. He provided me with both the pros and cons of each and as a result, I didn't have the additional work done. I felt this was extremely honest of him, since I was none the wiser and quite frankly he could have just as easily made the changes that would not have concluded with the results I had wanted. While working on the other issues, he explained what the problems were and explained how he was going to correct them. I found him to be very efficient, capable and professional. During the course of repairing everyting, he had to leave the premises to obtain additiaonal parts. When I received the invoice I carefully reviewed the labor hours and Jason carefully noted the time he didn't work (i.e. when he was off premises) and didn't "pad" his hours for the time he was away. The price was more than I expected, but to be fair, Palmer Electric offered to come out and provide an estimate in advance of the services being rendered. They also offered to have the service provider give me an estimate prior to starting work on the date of the service, both of which I declined because I needed to have the work done regardless. I would definitely recommend them and re-enlist their services as required.

They did a very good job. I would use them again for any future electrical needs.

This company responded the same day. The phone operator was courteous and helpful. The worker was knowledgeable and professional. He completed the job quickly. We were very pleased with this company. We were able to use the coupon on Angie's List.

I had an outside light next to the side door which was burned out. I bought a new light at Lowes and when I went to install it discovered the original was improperly mounted, there was no box it was attached, barely, to the siding. I couldn't mount the new light securely so I called Palmer to get a box installed and mount the light correctly. As long as I had him there I asked if he could mount the light higher, since the new two flood light needed ito be higher up to be more effective. He installed two boxes, one in original location with junction to wiring for existing flood in back, and another box up higher where new flood was mounted. Job was professionally done, he sealed the exterior cap on box at original mount as well as around the new light. Cleaned up after himself nothing left behind, which bugged me at first because he did not install a small plug that covered up a mounting screw. But when I called him he had the package still and returned it a couple days later with the parts and warranty card. It cost a little bit nore than original estimate, he spent a little more time than planned because he also adjusted another exterior flood/sensor, and sealed the main electric feed to meter. And in fairrness the estimate was only for one box. He did get the ok from my wife before doing the extra work. Had I been home I probably would have ok'd it anyway, so no harm done. I had gotten a couple other estimates, and Palmer wasn't the lowest. But if you want electrical work done don't hire a 'handyman' hire an electrician. The work is guranteed and I am not dissapointed. tt

While having the siding replaced on my house, the siding crew noticed that the insulation on the main service line on my house was badly frayed exposing the wire beneath. I found Palmer on Angie's list and called them for an estimate. They arrived to survey the situation on time and followed up promptly with a quote that was below the rough estimate we verbally discussed during their first visit. As I expected, they also needed to do some additional work to bring my house up to the current code (move the meter box outside, install a ground rod, install a jumper on the water meter). When I decided the hire Palmer, they were able to work around my schedule. They coordinated with the power company on the day I selected so that I could be home from work while they worked on my house. They were supposed to arrive at 8:30am, but had a short delay getting parts. As soon as they were aware of the delay, they called both me and the power company to let us know ... a very professional way to handle the issue. In the end, they arrived only a few minutes late and completed the job in a reasonable period of time. Matt was very professional and did a great job. I would recommend Palmer Electric to others.

I called at the end of the business day, asking about completing a lighting swap that turned out to be more difficult than we could do ourselves. They were able to schedule a technician the next day, and since it was quick work for him, we asked about the two additional fixtures, and because of the unexpected expense of the hourly rate for something we expected to do for free, agreed that would do one fixture. He was also able to knock that out quickly, so we moved to the third.

It went poorly. I am very disappointed in this company. I had an apparent lightning strike at my home which scorched outlets and put at least one circuit out of service. I called to have them come to my home to determine what was damaged and repair same. They advised me that they were busy and could not make it for perhaps two weeks, unless I paid a premium. While this is not an immediate emergency, it has the potential to become one as the wiring in the house is likely damaged. I would have expected a better response given the situation.

We were having problems with the electric in our kitchen. Problem started with us having to jiggle a plug in the outlet to get the rest of the circuit to work, then eventually the "jiggle the plug" trick stopped working, leaving us unable to use our dishwasher and stove. I called Palmer Electric and a technician was on his way within eleven minutes!! Tom got here quickly, immediately diagnosed the problem, explained everything he was doing, and had our outlet replaced in under a half hour! He was very kind and friendly, he even told me what to do if I had a similar problem in the future, which was very sweet. He's definitely someone I would trust, and I'll hire them in the future for any electrical issues that may come up.

After buying a new dryer and having it installed, the installers were unable to get the dryer to start and told us that there was no power at the wall recepticle. After trying to reset the circuit breaker, the dryer would still not start. We called Palmer Electric to look at the circuit breaker panel. The electrician showed up right on time and quickly noted that the CB was not truly reset (it's a hard pull to the left to get it to fully reset), and it was only resting in the on position. I felt pretty stupid but Jaison was very kind to us and didn't rub it in. While he was at the house we asked him to look at a basement GFCI power outlet that was popping off every time we tried to start our tread mill. He quickly swapped out the GFCI outlet and everything is working great. We have plans to add service outlets to the outside of the house and basement and we will definitely call Palmer Electric to do the work.

A rental truck severed the line from the house to the garage. There were also other outlets from the house on the circuit. They restored the line, updated the electrical box and changed circuits within the house to make more sense. They responded within hours of the call and came back to finish other work.

Real quick response time, very reasonably priced, had the option where he could of charged anything that he wanted but he was fair with his pricing and did a quality job.

They were very fast, expeditious and accurate in identifying the problem and repairing it. It was an emergency at that time and they were prompt and came right out. They had thought that it would take them 4-5 hours to come here after we called them but he came in about an hour and a half and I was quite happy with that. It was an emergency call and I think that their price was fair for that.

Matt was our electrician, and he was very punctual and friendly. I explained that my in-laws just had an electrical fire due to a supposed non-working switch, and I wanted someone over quickly. He easily check all of our areas of concern - which were one switch that didn't work, an outlet that was severely sunken into the wall, and another that had the face plate and cover ripped off. He checked their functionality, and very quickly fixed and replaced all. He even said he did a little looking at the other outlets he could see, and they looked good. He was there at 8:45 AM, and was gone by 9:15. Quick and courteous. I would recommend using the Angie's List coupon, because that took off the $50 dispatch fee, so we only ended up paying for a 1/2 hour of work and the materials (new switches, outlets and covers) Otherwise, it is about $50 a half hour. If I need any further electrical work, I am definitely calling them again

They were very pleasant and asked me to borrow my broom to clean up afterwards. Very impressed. I also called on a Thursday and they were able to fit me in between two jobs the very next day!

The electrical service to our 55-year old house was ridiculously out-dated. We had about 160 amps of circuits on a 120 amp circuit box that needed to be updated to 200 amp service. We were also gutting and remodeling our family room, wanted ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and needed lighting outside on our recently installed deck. We contacted three electrical contractors, and obtained extimates from each. Initially, Palmer's estimate was the most detailed but a bit hard to follow. Rick Palmer was cooperative and the estimate was clarified. They spent about 8 full days at our house and came back at the end of the day on other days to take care of issues that remained or to coordinate with other contractors. We could not have been more pleased. They were very professional, friendly and "rolled with the punches." Their work was excellent and when it needed some fine tuning to get things just the way we wanted them, they made sure everything was done right. We have had no problems with any of their work. We would strongly recommend Palmer Electric and would certainly use them again.

The office staff was great, very courteous and scheduled the appointment around my schedule. The technician must have been having a bad day because he was very rude and unprofessional. He didn't listen to anything I said. I asked for an estimate on additional re-wiring I still need to have done and he said he'd have someone call me, but no one ever did. I have an older home and the projects are many. I got the impression he thought the work was beneath him. I'm also still not able to use one of the outdoor light fixtures he re-wired/replaced. Two weeks after it was supposedly fixed I was experiencing the same issues I had before. Overall it was not a good experience. I'm sure the rate charged was the going rate, so I'm fine with that aspect. I would not recommend Palmer Electric.

The Office Personnel were very courteous and friendly when making the appointment, explaining their policies and procedures and treated us in a very respectful manner. The technicians were a little delayed from their original estimated time, but they kept us up-to-date and let us know within the hour when they would be arriving. Once the two electricians arrived they were friendly, listened to what we wanted them to do, and each started and finished the required work in an efficient, competent and professional manner. They both exhibited neatness and cleanliness. They were able to complete everything in a timely fashion. We were very pleased with their workmanship and how courteous they both were. We would highly recommend Palmer Electric to our family and friends and will definitely use them the next time we have to have any electrical work done.

I used them because I had a coupon and they were very good. I didn?t dislike anything about them. Their price was average but electricians are all expensive so it is hard to rate that.

They showed up on time, clean and ready to work. More so than the power company that was 4 hours late. They had all the power on to the house and the service upgraded in about 5 hours and another 2 hours for the underground service to the garage. From start to finish a great job.
