I met with Scott on May 23 to discuss what I wanted to have done in my backyard. Due to a very rainy June, the work was not completed until 7/8 although he contacted me one other time when he had a cancelation and decided to come do the work spur of the moment. I was not home at the time but came as soon as phoned. He said I did not need to be there but as this was the first time I had worked with this company and had this type of work done, I wanted to be there. This turned out to be a good thing because he did not have enough topsoil with him and I found out that the lawn was in no shape to have the topsoil put down yet because of the weeds, which we promptly mowed. This area had previously been a garden. I ended up turning over the soil myself, about 150 sq. feet, which is something I was really trying to avoid. Scott and I stayed in contact about the next possible date he could do the lawn although I sometimes had to call a couple of times before getting a response. Scott was always polite when we spoke, apologized for the delay and attributed it to the backlog of work he had due to the weather. In terms of the work for the most part the grass came in as Scott said it would and looks good, with just a few spots where the grass did not come in at all and a few low spots.. There were just a couple of things that I did not have sufficient knowledge about topsoil installation to get clarified: some confusion about what needed to be done to prepare the area for the top soil. I also thought we had discussed including some type of preventative measure so the weeds did not return full force, although Scott did say that the healthy grass should overtake the weeds. The other thing was rolling the topsoil, which was done by Scott and team just by walking over it. There are a few low spots I think may have been avoided if it had been rolled with the right equipment. I don't know if I would have GrassMasters install topsoil again but would use them for landscaping and lawncare management of which he seems very knowledgeable.

He was so good, very excellent. He does great work, he is very dependable. I was out of town and I have pets that I needed to be taken care of, he did my business without me paying first since I was out of town. It really impressed me that he trusted me.

, This company is the best. They are so helpful,caring,considerate and do a great job. During this past winter when we had a lot of snow,when I called ,they were here in a short time of me contacting them. They also went out of their way in shoveling my sidewalk,knowing the snow was pretty heavy for me to shovel. I have also had them for lawn care,do a great job and always on schedule. I highly recommend them. They are hard workers and want to do the best work for their customers.

Things went very well, the plan was executed on time and in budget.

They were very nice on the phone, and professional. I didn't actually meet anyone. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Grass Masters removed the snow on my driveway and front walk this week. The quality of their work is excellent, and they are pleasant and cheerful. I am happy to continue to use their services.

I planned to use them but I ran out of time in the fall. They came out and gave me a bid on a job to bring in top soil, reseed and everything. It got to be a little expensive and I held off until later in the fall then ran out of time. They were fine, very helpful and they came out and we talked it over a few times.

We have been with him now for about ten years. He is pleasant to work with, he is very amenable to whatever you ask him to do, and he is knowledgeable. He went to school for this so he knows his craft. He shows up; you don’t have to call and chase him. He’ll get right back to you if you call with a question.

We have a snow plow contract with them which was done last November. They plow whenever we have 3 inches or more of snow. I now have arranged with them that when we have enough snow for it to be a problem. They also shovel my sidewalk which is sort of incredible and they are just wonderful for everything we've paid them for this year. They just sit out or send you a bill sometime in the spring or keep track of it. They haven't done that yet. Basically they are inexpensive and very affordable. We have also had them for a number of years in the summer. We pay them per trip but they do the lawn mowing, spring cleanup and we have them mulch and have them do other kinds of lawn service as requested. We are away for most of them summer and we know that they will keep the lawn looking nice, whatever that requires. In fact if we have a terribly long grass bill I can count Scott to come over and mow and water that which is desperately in need of watering. They take really good care of the place. They do excellent work and are very pleasant to deal with and very modestly priced. I arrived last fall and among the errands, I had just bought a bunch of bags of mulch right in the season and got here when Scott was here mowing. He saw me starting to get the mulch out of the car and he told me to put that down and he said he will take care of it. I would have struggled with one bag of mulch. Scott picks up 2 at a time and walks off and deposits them exactly where I wanted. It is sort of lots of little extra measures. I would recommend them very, very highly. Scott has a crew and I know he has other people who plow for him. His significant other, she actually comes with him in the summer and so the edging and he'll have another guy or two with big mowers, but I think he has a crew and another crew working someplace else. He has done our lawn work for a good long while. This winter we had a moderate snow storm and the driveway didn't get plowed nor did my daughter's when it should have and I called them to see if anything were wrong and I got the answering machine. I then got a phone call from them; they had had a family emergency and had to go out of town unexpectedly and had lined up subs and they were afraid that the suns had not come. But they were concerned enough and calling their customers to make sure everything was alright from out of town with a family medical emergency. When they found out that we had not been plowed, in a very short order we got plowed. That was just a wow kind of service and I was very impressed. In our old house he worked with a guy who used to do our lawn and that guy died and Scott took over his business. This was about 6 years ago. The previous guy had dug up our yard at our request because it was so bad and reseeded from scratch which we had arranged for him to do. It was okay that summer and the next year it sort of jut died. Scott did an enormous amount of research during the transition just to try and figure out what had gone wrong and he up with what it might have been but more importantly how to fix it. It wasn't his problem or business but he fixed it. He was very good and ethical and responsible and not mention pleasant and all those kind of things.
