This is the fourth time we've used this company, which really says how we feel about them. (It also says we like moving way too much!) Once again, they showed up on time, the crew was courteous, and they're incredibly fast and efficient. I collect antique china, my husband has a cumbersome antique clock, and we have a lot of artwork. Everything arrived intact, they unwrapped everything and placed it where I wanted it, and they were prepared to handle a number of fragile items I had planned to move myself. I've had other professional movers move me twice, and I had a terrible problem with breakage and damage to walls each time. Their estimate was very close to the final bill. It only went over because I added extra items.

The move as it related to West Side Movers went well. All of my belongings arrived safely and undamaged. My building scheduled three moves that day at the same time-- one was my neighbor-- so they had to share the elevator with two other companies and they worked around this glitch. I did point out one rather expensive and fragile piece that I had to which I wanted special attention given. I freaked out when looking for it and finding it was not packed separately, but packed with other fragile items. It arrived undamaged as did everything else. I guess I thought my pointing it out would mean that it would be packed separately. I guess I should have specified that it be done so. This move went extremely well and I am thankful. I must admit (and it is the reason a C was given under the professionalism category) that I was more than a bit put off when the lead man told me after the packing was done that the "suggested" gratuity to be paid the next day was 18 to 20 percent of the total bill. It was my intention all along to tip the men, but being told this kind of irked me. They did a great job, but 20%??????

The entire process was very professional and efficient. Mike arrived right on time to estimate the move cost. The estimation process went very quickly and smoothly - no more than half an hour. He gave me an estimated cost and a max cost, and even drove me to work since it was first thing in the morning and on his way to his office! There was a good level of communication between the estimation date and the move date - confirming times to drop off boxes so I could start packing myself, asking if we needed a certificate of insurance, etc. On the day of the move, Derek and John and the crew arrived right on time and went straight to work. They were pleasant and personable and made me feel comfortable they would take great care of my things. The pack took two hours. When I met the crew at my new place, they unloaded the truck in about an hour. The whole thing was done by 1:30 pm, and all of my stuff was in great condition. Nothing lost or damaged. Overall a great experience!

To me, they were specialists. I thought they were very good. They were professional, they showed up on time and they made me feel comfortable. I was happy about everything, even about their price. I also appreciated the fact that nothing was broken during the move.

They visited to give a comprehensive estimate, they were flexible when the move date changed, they arrived on time and made the move in slightly less time than expected.

Crews showed up on time and worked steadily and fairly speedily. They came to pack one day and moved things out the following day, which was great (less hectic than trying to do it all the same day), and the packing crew was flexible and professional as well as fun. I could wish that they had better labeled the items they packed (e.g., many boxes are just labeled "kitchen breakables," but I don't know which contains dishes, which glassware, etc., and I still haven't found the microwave). In preparing for the move, I spoke to several different people and it didn't seem that they were sharing information (it would have been better to have one consistent point of contact or a computer system where they record and share conversations). We had a different and younger (less trained) crew do the move-in, and so they didn't know our stuff, where it went, and how to assemble it, which caused one (minor) hinge break. All were nice guys, however, with no attitude and they did the work.

The company seemed really great in the beginning, but things started to slip and by moving day I was frustrated and fed up. First, the estimator did not show up for an appointment and did not call - I had to track him down. When my move date got postponed, they rescheduled it for the wrong date. I had to tell them twice to obtain insurance certificates for the building we were moving out of. The team they sent though was so great, that I would consider using them again.

Team arrived on time, were friendly and courteous. Worked fast. Did not balk at difficulty of the job, which was considerable, given that apt was a walk up and several pieces of furniture needed to be disassembled and reassembled. They were good problem solvers, and figured out to remove and then restore front door in order to accommodate furniture. Very good humored and took pride in their work.

The movers were friendly, helpful, quick and nothing was harmed in the move! Everything was perfect. And they even helped me rearrange my furniture. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Actually, I found West Side Movers on Angie's List. There were eight sterling recommendations and I went with them. I was very happy with the work that they did. The four moving men worked very hard, very fast and they were courteous and extremely professional. Nothing was broken and nothing was lost, not to mention that there was no damage in the hallways or elevators (which made my super very happy). The movers knew what they were doing and they are definitely not a fly by night operation that hires people with no experience. Also, I liked the fact that I trusted these men with my possessions and never felt that I was being ripped off (which has happened several times with other movers). I highly recommend West Side Movers and I will undoubtedly use them again.

An outstanding experience from start to finish! Our move was going to be large and complicated, lots of potential was there for headaches and problems. West Side Movers was on time, well organized, well prepared, friendly, professional, positive attitude, excellent teamwork, no complaints. I can t think of a single thing they could have done better.

The three-man crew was timely and efficient. My NY building has a 4 PM cutoff, and while they initially assured me they'd be done by 4, when the truck was loaded up at 12:20, this was looking unlikely. However, they took care of everything with the super, got an extra crew in NY to help them with unloading (that I wasn't charged extra man-hours for), and finished everything up by 5. In all, a positive experience. Nothing was broken. One piece of furniture had a very minor scratch.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH THEIR WORK. THEY WERE ON TIME TO GET MY STUFF. THEY DIDN'T BREAK ANYTHING, SO THEY WERE REALLY CAREFUL. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS FAIR, TOO.

I HAVE A REALLY GOOD OPINION OF THIS COMPANY. IN FACT, I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE. THEY DIDN'T BREAK ANY OF MY BELONGINGS, SO I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM.

I THINK THAT THIS COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB (NOTHING WAS BROKEN OR DAMAGED IN THE PROCESS). THEY ARRIVED ON TIME FOR THE MOVE AND GOT EVERYTHING DONE QUICKLY. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY.

THIS COMPANY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY ARE A VERY GOOD SERVICE TO USE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO PEOPLE. THEY WERE GOOD AND PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE WHO DID A WONDERFUL JOB.

THEY GOT HERE WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE. THEY WERE VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY. THEY TOOK CARE OF MY BELONGINGS LIKE IT WAS THEIR OWN PROPERTY. THEY ARE A GREAT COMPANY TO WORK WITH.

THEY PROVIDE A VERY GOOD SERVICE. THEY SHOW UP ON TIME AND GET RIGHT TO WORK. THEY GAVE ME A FREE PRICE QUOTE AND THE PRICE WAS IN THAT RANGE. THEY WERE VERY GOOD AT PUTTING MY THINGS WHERE I WANTED THEM TO BE.
