These guys were the best movers I have ever encountered. The care in wrapping and packing was the best I'd ever seen and that includes care of couch and dresser legs so that they could not possibly break or be harmed. It includes pictures and mirrors. Really they deserve an A+. Plus, they were a very nice crew. They don't have many trucks so yo are likely to get the crew that moved us. It's nice working with a locally based owner. They are smart and fun to work with.

They are FANTASTIC- they charged the original estimated price. They were friendly, careful, professional and efficient- just a lovely bunch of guys. We will be using them ourselves in 3 weeks to move out, so I'll report back on that. EXCELLENT company.
Description of Work: We hired them to pack & move our friends, who had been renting our first floor apt. They came in, gave a very fair estimate, including a maximum cap, and showed up promptly and ready to work. They packed up everything (and I mean everything), tidied up afterwards, and moved them to an apartment a few miles away. Then they unpacked them at the new location. They charged the original estimated price, and our friends gladly tipped them the 20%. They earned it.

On the day of the move, Redline arrived promptly at 10:00am. Simon, the head of the crew, was fantastic as the foreman. He knew exactly what he was doing and, like Simon, was professional, funny and was a pleasure to work with. The rest of the crew was similarly fun to work with, but were incredibly tasky. The move was difficult due to circumstances beyond our control. It was raining periodically and my couch would not fit outside the door. They guys spent an hour trying to figure out the best way to get it out, they removed the door from the hinges, took a lamp out of the ceiling, removed spindles from the bannister and even took off the intercom in my apartment. Nothing worked. The couch wouldn't budge. And yet they replaced everything so that you couldn't notice they'd been removed in the first place. They moved everything into storage in 25 minutes flat. I'm not kidding. Then they tackled the fourth floor walkup final portion. They did not get grumpy. They did not get rude. Still full of smiles and vim and verve, they dived right into it and the move was finished in about an hour and a half. THEN, they walked through the apartment with me to see if everything was where it needed to be or if they needed to move boxes to different rooms. They also suggested that I move my clothes quickly out of the wardrobe boxes so that they could remove the boxes from the apartment FOR ME. At the last minute, I also realized that I needed to buy a bed frame as my old one was broken and really beyond repair. I sent my partner to get the bedframe and they assembled it for me. Although the price was $1600, that includes that $400 tip I gave the crew. This was probably excessive, but given the grueling nature of the move and how amazing they were, I felt I simply couldn't have paid them any less. The original estimate was for $1083, but because of the couch debacle, we ran over time. The "drop dead" price, i.e. the "no matter how long this takes, we will charge you this much," was $1283 and that is the price that I was charged at the end of the day. I think it was slightly steep, but not over the top. I considered it the same as paying for an unforgettable meal; pricey, but worth every bite. This move was truly the best move experience I have ever had. I recommend this company without reservation. My partner is moving in June 1 and she will be choosing Redline to move her as well. If you want a painless, anxiety-free, professional move with a crew that you can laugh with, these are your guys.
Description of Work: I contracted with Redline movers to move me from a two bedroom apartment to a three bedroom apartment in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The move was from a 3rd floor walkup to a 4th floor walkup, and the first apartment had very narrow stairs. I had a great deal of tricky items (two very full bookshelves resulting in tons of very heavy boxes, lots of high quality and heavy pots and fragile dishes) involved in the move and I asked them to pack my books and a lot of art (professionally framed pictures, art work from South Africa and an antique "sunburst" I have made out of turn of the century nails. I also need to make a pit stop at a storage unit to drop off half of the items that were being removed from my apartment. Shane, one of the proprietors of Redline came to my house two weeks before the move to give me an estimate. From the moment he walked in, he was professional, funny, and put me at ease. He gave me an estimate and also gave me a "no matter what" number, i.e. no matter how long the move went, he would guarantee me a certain price. A few times before the move, I called to make additional requests--please add wardrobe boxes, etc.

These guys are the best. Not one thing broke or was damaged and despite narrow hallways, our fresh paint still looks perfect. They worked quickly, barely stopping for a sandwich midday. It is clear that the company takes customer service seriously. They are professional, unfailingly courteous, and lovely people. They even maintained their good humor and manners at the end of the day when faced with having to load staged items back into the truck and being forbidden to retrieve their dollies and blankets until the following morning. We will definitely hire them again in a few weeks to move us out of storage.
Description of Work: We did most of the packing of our 3-bedroom apartment, but they packed up what we hadn't finished in addition to large and odd-shaped items. Then they loaded us into two vans heading first for our new (smaller) apartment and then to mini storage. The end of the day was a bit of a disaster because our new building takes the 5pm cut-off very seriously and they hadn't finished unloading. So, they took what was left to mini storage along with the things that were supposed to go there in the first place. They offered to come back two days later to retrieve and deliver those boxes, but we decided to wait until everything comes out of storage (once our kitchen renovation is complete).

This was the smoothest, most stress-free and professional move we've ever experienced! We can't say enough great things about these guys. Gavin, Brian, and crew arrived exactly at the appointed time on the day of our move and immediately got to work. We were immensely impressed at how careful they were with our things. We had done the vast majority of packing ourselves, but the crew wrapped up the really big items for us -- couches, sideboard, mirrors, artwork, tables, etc. -- like they were Faberge eggs! They even loaded up a pretty large outdoor playset. When it came to packing the truck, they loaded it like they were masters of 3D Tetris (in fact, one of the movers told me that that's exactly what it's like). They were equally as careful about unloading our things at our new house. Brian made sure we were happy with the placement of the furniture throughout the house and double-checked to see if we wanted anything re-arranged before they left. We highly recommend them, not only for their professionalism and reasonable pricing, but also for being just all-around friendly, nice guys.
Description of Work: We chose Redline Movers after receiving estimates from two other movers because we really liked the professionalism and approachability of Kieran and Gavin, the men who came to give us the estimate. Redline moved us from a 3-bedroom home in Hartsdale to our 4-bedroom home in White Plains. We did the packing ourselves, but Redline wrapped and taped all of our furniture, artwork and mirrors. They also provided several wardrobe boxes. They also moved outdoor furniture, a BBQ, and a fairly large play-set. We received an estimate for 9 hours, but the move only took 8 hours, so we ended up paying slightly less than originally estimated.

I was impressed from the initial phone call. The local mover I had first called sounded a bit nervous about delivering into NYC. Redline movers do this all the time. They are familiar with all the parking regulations, the building regulations, etc. The pricing was explained thoroughly, there were no surprises. On the day of the move, Shane (?) called to tell me when they were about 1/2 hour away.. and the 3 gentlemen who came were all terrific... they were efficient, quick and clean. At the NY end they were very helpful is getting everything in place. I will definitely be calling them for our next move.

They were on the ball. A crew of four guys did the move. They asked the right questions, and we were comfortable with their manner and professionalism. We boxed just about everthing ourselves, and they took care of furniture and other large items. We have thousands of books, and so we had a ridiculous number of boxes. One thing I wish we did differently is to have put aside all fragile items in one place: we packed fragile stuff, labeled the boxes as such, but then mixed those boxes in with other boxes of non-fragile items. Thus they got a bit lost in the shuffle, and a few glasses were broken. I think if we had put fragile boxes together and then told the movers what was in those boxes, the outcome might have been different. Altogether though they did a great job, and they were clearly concerned about making things turn out right. The estimate they gave us was for a maximum cost of $1200, and thus they finished the job about $150 under the estimate.
Description of Work: Moved from a 1-bedroom apartment on the 15th floor of an apartment building in Brooklyn to a house a couple of miles away (still in Brooklyn). We packed most of the stuff ourselves.

Overall, I was very happy with Redline Moving services. My move was seamless!
Description of Work: I moved from a 1-bedroom apartment in one building, to a 2-bedroom apartment in the building next door. I paid $927 + 20% gratuity. I had five movers on-site for this move; no truck was required. The movers arrived on time and got to work immediately. They asked me what I needed; we did a walk thru of the old & new apartment, indicating furniture placement and box placement, per room. All my requests were fulfilled in a professional manner, quickly and with nothing broken or ripped. Furthermore, they took great care to prevent damage of the newly finished wood floors or freshly painted walls, in my new apartment. Once the move was complete, everything was in its place and any furniture that was disassembled, was perfectly reassembled. I would definitely recommend Sean, Simon and their team to anyone who is looking for a professional & courteous moving company. Thank you!

Right from the initial contact, I was very pleased with Redline. Information was straightforward, no "add on costs" as conversation continued or trying to change my mind about time of day to move (did happen with another company). I was nervous about getting off to a "right start" in my new building and Redline was perfect. They were prompt, efficient, careful, courteous and friendly. Nothing was a problem. Moving is difficult for many reasons but Redline made it so much easier!

After our last move (with Ace movers. Horrible!!!!), I dreaded the thought of moving again. These guys exceeded every single one of my expectations, and made an otherwise stressful experience relatively painless. They were courteous, efficient, friendly, and honest. They stuck to their original no-more-than estimate, even though our move took much longer than anticipated due to a slow elevator. They took great care with all of our belongings, only one little thing was damaged, and that had already been broken previously, and disassembled and reassembled everything good-as-new. Even after a long day of packing and moving, they were kind enough to move a baby-grand piano back and forth until I was happy with the location. They also didn't flinch when we asked them to move the oversized couch from the basement to the garage to the room where it now sits. They were absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough good things about Kieran and his crew. Hire them immediately.

They did it all in one day. They were absolutely on time, professional, and very friendly. I would definitely recommend them. They were expensive (there were added charges that I wasn't expecting) but it was worth it. Nothing was broken. One of the movers had mentioned to my husband to not forget the tip, which I wasn't expecting.

Due to time issues I had the movers pack all of my items including the food in the fridge. After having a horrible experience with Father and Son moving company of New Jersey, I decided to cross match Angie's list with the Better Business Bureau. I selected Redline and it was the best decision I could have made. In my previous move, practically every piece of furniture I owned was scratched or damaged. Redline did an excellent job and was very careful not only with my furniture, but not a wall or floor had as much as a scuff mark. The team was friendly, and very customer-service oriented.

These guys are great!! They were punctual, professional and fast--and overall just really nice. They treated all my possessions with great care, with virtually no damage (one broken knob on an armoire which they pointed out to me immediately and which was easy to replace). Because the floors on my new apartment had just been refinished, they hand carried everything in instead of using dollies which might have scratched the floors (and I mean EVERYTHING, including said very heavy and unwieldy armoire). I have had bad moving experiences in the past, and this was a very welcome change. I hope not to move again (at least not for a very long time!), but I would absolutely use this company again and recommend them enthusiastically!

The supervisor called to let me know that the truck would be 10 minutes late because of traffic, which was great because I got nervous right away. The 3 guys were easy to deal with & moved everything efficiently, without any damage at all. They moved heavy stuff for me at the destination. The price was a little higher than the other estimates, but I was confident that there would be no B.S. & no surprise fees in the final bill.

When we first called for information, we explained we were moving the contents of a 10x30 storage area to another location. We were given an estimate of $150/hr for 1 truck & 4 men, and that it would take about 8 hours, but that we would probably need a second truck at an additional $30/hr. However, they had no problem with using an additional truck that we rented ourselves. They also followed up with an e-mail confirming the options we discussed on the phone. Their rates were higher than some of the other quotes we had gotten, but after checking everyone out on Angie's list, the BBB, and movingscam.com, we felt they had the best reputation and would be worth the money. So we scheduled a date. On moving day, I was about 20 min. late myself due to traffic, but they were parked and ready to go when I arrived, so if they were late, it couldn't have been more than a few minutes. Once we were all there, they got to work immediately, and kept up a measured but steady pace. They were almost able to pack everything on their truck, but after about 4 hours everything was on the trucks and we were off the the new location. Once there (after a short delay due to them taking a wrong turn), the process was reversed and everything was neatly packed into the 2 new spaces. The final cost was slightly higher due to actually taking 9 hours, and the additional cost of a few boxes for loose stuff not packed originally (although it wasn't a surprise, as the estimate clearly spelled out that there would be additional charges for any supplies used).
Description of Work: Needed to move furniture and belongings from one storage facility to another (much better and less expensive). Everything was already wrapped and/or boxed from the original move to storage.

This company was wonderful in every aspect of the moving process. They loaded and moved my household contents. They were friendly, professional, worked quick. Not a single thing was broken. The day the truck was loaded, it poured rain all day, one could not have asked for worse weather, plus, at first they could not park the truck in front of my building, had to cross a busy street. It had every reason to be a miserable day, and it was anything but. They even were patient with the cat, who stayed pretty much constantly in the way, and would get him back inside if he followed them out. Even a few bulky items I was not moving, a book case, for example, they put on their dolly and hauled down to the trash disposal area out back of my building, rather than just leaving it for us to deal with later. I have no complaints in any category.

They were very helpful, curteous, careful and punctual. They threw in some extra packing materials at no cost and packed my stuff really well so it wouldn't get damaged. This was probably the most stress free move of my life thus far and I've moved numerous times in recent years. I would recommend Redline without hesitation.
Description of Work: They came and looked at all my stuff and gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to move to Maryland from NYC. They were straightforward and didn't pressure me as other movers did. They did an exclusive move, meaning they took only my stuff, moved it, stored it and arrived the next morning at the location. They then moved some of my stuff to one location and the rest to storage, where they did a great job packing the storage space.

Terrific experience, best move ever. In addition to above, I appreciated the minor things; like describing where to get additional insurance for antiques, follow-up and good nature when I changed my mind about where to put a piece of furniture. They were punctual, provided an estimate ahead of time (despite my living in another state) and exceeded high expectations. Shane, Kiernan and Simon were people with whom I most interacted, but it was clear everyone liked each other hence worked well together.
Description of Work: I moved within Stamford, CT. My last move was terrible, so I researched movers. Redline was more expensive as they came from NYC, but they advised me in advance of transit charges. With large antique bedroom furniture and armoire, plus considerable amount of irreplaceable Crystal and stemware I wanted the best, happy to say I got it. I packed all, but Crystal, China and other breakables. It arrived intact, even the marble-topped bureau. I truly appreciated the professionalism and personableness of all involved. Numerous people had told me that my dog would have to be at a kennel, but Simon and others were great, indeed my standard poodle thoroughly enjoyed the day. No trauma for him or me. They packed, moved, set-up TV (computer already done.) I unpacked, but preferred to do so.
