They left the rooms looking like a new house in about 7 or 8 hours worth of work. She was 10 minutes early to the appointment and very professional. This was some of the best service I have received in a long time.

It went well. They took before and after pics as I requested and emailed them to me. They were very punctual in contacting me as well. I am pleased.

I hired them to help me do an intensive spring cleaning. They provided a professional, "no non-sense" approach to the service set-up, and the coordinator was very clear in managing my expectations in terms of process and price. On the day of service, the cleaning lady was prompt and as we did our walk-through, I could tell that she understood well what I needed her to get done. Upon review, I was happily surprised that their service really lives up to the claims they make in the ads on their website - (other internet vendors that I hired the past weren't as diligent). Ideal deliverd excellent results and I feel like I got full value for the expense charged.

The lady that was sent out was here on time. I did not like that she worked slow and she did not keep track of her own time. I was charged extra for the lady taking longer and staying an extra hour of work that did not have to take that long. I also did not want her to stay that long due to Hurricane Sandy coming.

The coordinator was very responsive to emails and calls and receptive to my needs. Setting up the cleaning service was very easy. The cleaner arrived exactly on time, was pleasant, courteous, professional and made sure that I show her exactly what I wanted cleaned and the cleaning products that I wanted used. They provided me with an estimate after reviewing how much work was needed. I was able to inspect the job and sign off on it before the cleaner left. I was very happy with the results and would use this service again.

It was great. She was right on time. They brought all the cleaning products. She even stayed half an hour due to a contractor being there in the way. She is very professional and doesn't add any extra fees or tell me I need additional cleaning done. Be very clear with what you want done as far as cleaning. They really want to make sure you are happy by you coming back before they leave so you can inspect to make sure everything is done to satisfaction. The charge of the job is decided upon looking at what is needed when they show up for the cleaning.

This happened last March. I got a call from the provider shortly after I left a message -- either by phone or e-mail, I don't remember which. She seemed pleasant enough; I described my apartment -- size, cleaning I would like to have done, and I agreed to pay extra for the agency to provide the cleaning products. A young woman arrived at my apartment on the appointed day and pretty near the agreed upon time -- in her limited English she indicated she had had trouble finding my apartment, which is two blocks from the subway station -- or right across the street if you use a different exit. After she had unplugged her ears and put her gps away, she handed me the above mentioned piece of paper to sign. After this, I showed her around the apartment and told her what I would like her to do. Since I had recently had my apartment painted and had not yet put everything back where it belonged, there were some cartons off to one side in the bedroom. I indicated that she need not worry about these but should simply dust the dresser and vacuum the rug. I don't believe I even asked her to make the bed. After this, we returned to the living room. On the floor next to the couch was a small pile consisting of six weeks of Time magazines, one crossword puzzle book and perhaps one or two catalogs. On the back of one of the chairs were two or three blouses that I planned to take to the cleaners. Near the fireplace were again a number of cartons containing items left over from the paint job that had not yet been put or thrown away. And on the end table next to the couch, as mentioned above, were a number of envelopes -- bills mostly -- not neatly stacked -- and a large container of dog treats. To carry the container into the kitchen and to straighten the envelopes would have take the better part of five seconds. But suddenly my phone rang and Ms. Ideal, without benefit of introduction or explanation, told me I would have to pay an extra $5 an hour because of the clutter. For some strange reason, I had thought a cleaning lady could lift a neatly stacked pile of magazines onto the couch when she vacuumed. I made it perfectly clear, again, that the cartons were to be ignored. By way of demonstrating what her boss was talking about, the young woman stood near the envelope-strewn end table and began waving her arms over it. "I'll take care of it," I said. It seemed quite ridiculous to pay an additional $5 an hour for such a minimal exertion of energy. But the young woman continued waving her arms over the table, and I again said "I'll take care of it." The third time she forced me to repeat this sentence, I raised my voice (I work from home and was becoming somewhat anxious about all the time this was taking). The young woman then flew into the bathroom, changed back into her street clothes and walked out of my apartment in tears. Shortly thereafter, I received the following e-mail: Hi there,Due to unresolved job site conflict our maid left today. Your home requires de-cluttering, cleaning and organization services (it was more than a few papers laying around). Unfortunately, we cannot effectively clean cluttered surfaces without de-cluttering first. You will not be charged and your credit card will be removed from our system. Your credit card was preauthorized yesterday, however that is not an actual charge. Unfortunately, we cannot send someone else. Thank you. Have an Ideal Day! Customer Service, I worked for many years as a home care social worker and have seen first hand cluttered apartments. I would imagine if Ms Ideal and her fragile cleaning woman ever saw a cluttered apartment the fair young thing would fall into a swoon . And -- I can only surmise that if Ms. Ideal took it upon herself to describe the degree of clutter that so offended her, she must have had a photograph. In many ways, I think this is what angered and unnerved me the most. No one -- at least not to my knowledge -- has ever entered my apartment and taken pictures of it. To me, this is an utterly vile invasion of my space. Nor, quite frankly, do I believe that anyone running a business should tell me how many magazines I have on my floor. I live here; she was going by a photograph, taken, I imagine, from some distance. Had she felt this was the case, the appropriate way to proceed would have been to call me, explain what she saw in her clandestine photo and why, if I needed certain additional services to be performed, I would have to pay more than the originally agreed upon price -- unless I straightened the envelopes myself -- and renegotiate the agreement to reflect the extra work she believed the apartment required. If she truly believed my apartment needed to be decluttered before her young woman could begin to clean, it is difficult to imagine what her idea of cleaning is.

The service was great from my interaction with Apolonia in terms of administrative stuff (securing appointment, payment, signing forms, etc.) all the way to the manner in which the cleaner approached her work. She helped me overcome what seemed to be an insurmountable task. I was able to move in to an apartment that was previously inhabited by someone who was definitely a hoarder. Gross. She was amazing and methodical. And here's the other point I should mention: I was a miserable client. I was unresponsive, I was late, I was a mess. Apolonia and the cleaner (Catonia? I can't remember her name) handled me and my foolishness with aplomb.

It was great. She did everything we needed and was timely.

I have been using Ideal Cleaning ever since they first cleaned for me last year. I am using them about as often as I can, maybe once a month, and if I could I would ask for an appointment once every week. Having had some really bad experiences with other cleaning services that charge a lot more and give shoddy or careless service, I was happy to find Ideal Cleaning through Angie's List. Apolonia (the owner) is a total and polished professional. She always responds to my messages by phone or e-mail quickly. She always tries to accommodate me, even when I call and ask for someone at the last minute (like "tomorrow, please). Once on a last-minute call Apolonia asked if I would mind if she sent a trainee. She came with the new cleaning woman herself, and she worked beside her for several hours, quietly showing the young woman how she wanted the work to be done. I was glad she came, not only to observe her very thorough training process, but also to meet Apolonia. She is as nice in person as she is on the phone. If a worker is running late for an appointment, she always calls to let me know. I can't say enough good things about this company and I know I will have prompt and reliable service whenever I engage them.

The proprietor of the company was fantastic in terms of follow-up and everything. They were very good and I intend to use them again. The level of follow up in terms of communication from the proprietor was phenomenal. She is available on email, she was very, very good and she impressed me a lot with her level of professionalism and follow up. The cleaning crew was good, I wouldn’t say they were exceptional but they were definitely very good. She asked me very detailed questions right at the start and was very prompt when about answering them. They were right on time and they obviously got good instructions because they got to work right away. I didn’t have to be present but when I came back, I asked them some things to be done additionally, and they did it without asking too many questions, so it was good. They did a thorough job of cleaning my apartment.

Catriona did an amazing job. I expected the cleaning portion of the job would be done well - which it was. The challenge was the clutter. Somehow she powered through all the clutter and my second bedroom is now useable again! SHe bagged up the garbage and everything was put out correctly (recycling, etc). I cannot get over how good everything looks. I will definitely be using this company again.

She was very punctual and very respectful she inquired about things before she moved them she went over and beyond and even stayed a little later than she was suppose to. She even took a mental picture so that everything was put back where she found it. Everything was even better than when she first came. She did an amazing job.

Our condo in Harlem is used as a vacation rental. We were looking for someone we could hire to do the cleaning between guests because it was becoming too much of a hassle for us to do it ourselves because we have very high standards for neatness and cleanliness. Fortunately, our guests are very considerate, so it's not like they trash the place. Appolonia (the owner) and Katrina (the maid) were extremely professional, courteous, efficient, and thorough. We could not have been more pleased. We will definitely use them again.

She came early. She was very pleasant and competent. This is the 2nd time using them. The office manager is on the ball and very pleasant to work with.

I would give this company a high rating. It couldn't be better.

Apolonia Edwards, the proprietor of Ideal, called me to let me know that my cleaning person might be slightly delayed if the subway had a delay. She was due about 1:30 p.m. The cleaning person was only about 15 minutes late, which was nothing when you know how public transportation is. I explained to her what had to be done and showed her where all my cleaning supplies, vacuum, Hoover Floormate, and stepstool were. She got right to work. Apolonia checked in with her now and then via cell phone. This lady worked smoothly and efficiently, going from one task to another. The only times she stopped were to ask me where something was, what else had to be cleaned, or for another cleaning supply. I inspected each thing she did when she finished. I had very little to say after seeing the thorough job she did with each task. Gradually, the Herculean task of cleaning for Passover dwindled down from a mountain to a small handful, which was quickly finished by my cleaning person. My initial despair of "how will this ever get done in a day?" dissipated as the place began to shine. When she finally finished the very last thing to make my home perfect for the holiday, I insisted that she take a cab home as it was late. I called a reliable car service and gave her cabfare for the ride home. I'd have her back to help me clean in a NY heartbeat, she was that good.

It went extremely well. Apolonia (the proprietor) was INCREDIBLY responsive with information, follow-ups, confirmations, etc. The cleaner was right on time despite a snowstorm, and she was quite thorough in her cleaning efforts.
