Ideal Cleaning Services LLC

After a trial four-week period, I’m now using Ideal Cleaning Service weekly. Unlike other services I’ve used in the past, the person who comes to clean my apartment is conscientious and thorough. She arrives on time and using her time efficiently. The customer-service offered by Ideal has also been professional and responsive. For all of these reasons, I highly recommend their cleaning services.

We couldn't be happier with Ideal Cleaning Services! As someone who has always cleaned my own place, I hesitated to engage a cleaning service - but over time, I found that cleaning our large apartment had become overwhelming. I tried a few other individuals and companies, but either the cleaning service itself was not up to par, or else the company was not professional/reliable enough to meet my standards. My husband and i both run our own businesses from home, and therefore we need (and expect) a high level of organization and service from people we engage. Those expectations have been met and exceeded by Ideal Cleaning Services. Apolonia takes a strong interest in her business and was extremely solicitous and helpful in ensuring we had our first visit from Jeiza (our service provider) within a few days of my call. Jeiza has now come twice, and is fantastic - taking care of everything with minimal oversight, and in a timely manner. Although our place doesn't need deep cleaning, we do need someone who spends the time to notice what needs to be done. I'm just thrilled that I can go about my work and know that Jeiza is ultra-competent! I find the rate totally reasonable ($29/hour), especially since Jeiza is able to cover everything in 4-5 hours, despite how large our apartment is.

I hired Ideal Cleaning Services, LLC based on the positive reviews here on Angie?s List as well as the very professional company websites. I started my research in February, 2012. My elderly aunt was a hoarder. I wanted to hire Ideal while my aunt was still in the house, but she refused. Once the family started cleaning I realized how unhealthy the situation was for my aunt and I was finally able to get my aunt into a much better living situation. This is the point Ideal Cleaning Services LLC enters my life. I emailed Apolonia about the situation and she was able to schedule a day to come and give an estimate for this very cluttered, two story, three bedroom house. She was honest, straightforward and not afraid of anything. Fearless!!! She made some suggestions that would make things easier for her staff and myself during the decluttering process. I had some plumbing and electrical repairs that needed to be done and some solutions for hot weather. It took a few weeks to get it all done and I kept Apolonia informed via email. Friday, July 6, 2012 Apolonia and staff (Martha and Rochelle) showed up before 9am and began work. It took Martha every minute of 5 hours to bring the bathroom back to brand, spanking new. It was amazing. Martha, job well done. Bravo! Rochelle was equally courageous by dragging 78 bags of garbage down a steep flight of stairs, through the house and to the backyard. Apolonia gently, but earnestly, explained why I could not stop and go through the pockets of each garment that was being thrown out. Once we got to the clothes from the 1960?s I realized she was right. All jewelry, important papers and pictures were brought to me. At the end of the first day I knew I had made the right choice. Two more days working with Apolonia and Rochelle and the entire house was decluttered, cleaned and all small furniture and appliances ready for a dump truck. When you see the before and after pictures on Ideal?s website, believe it. I saw it happening for myself. Today is not even a week from when they started and in three visits they have finished cleaning. Thank you Ideal Cleaning Services, LLC and Apolonia and her staff. They definitely know how to clean. I highly recommend them. P.S. I skipped the price field because I don't feel how much I paid was the deciding factor. The quality of service and the fact that you can trust Ideal Cleaning Services to deal with you and your property with respect while doing an AMAZING job, that's what counts.

I contacted Ideal Cleaning Services after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List. They were very responsive when I filled out the form on the website. We were able to schedule an appointment very quickly. Jeiza, my cleaner, came 5 minutes early and did a very thorough and complete cleaning job. Jeiza finished in shorter than the estimated time and the company offered me a credit on my next cleaning or a check. The communication with the main office is great and they check up with you mid-appointment to make sure you are happy with the cleaning.

This service was PHENOMENAL! I've had some negative experiences with cleaning services in the past (incomplete work, nasty attitudes, too much time taken). I was hesitant to try any again, but I had to get the house ready for my daughter's 1st Birthday Party. So I went with this company based on how responsive they've been on the reviews through out and the wonderful endorsements of Apolonia and her crew. I want to say up front that these claims are 100% based in fact!! Apolonia was extremely responsive on email and when she didn't hear from me on email, she called me so that she could assure that I had the slot I needed. On the day of service when she thought that Jeiza might be late because of train delays, she called well in advance - but Jeiza had already shown up and started to evaluate the needs. I really only needed some dusting and lots of mopping. Jeiza went above and beyond. Put dishes away, swept rooms that were out of the range I asked her to because she saw they needed it, wiped down counters, put clutter away. Made the house 100% ready for this party and she was TOTALLY pleasant the WHOLE TIME!! She truly loves what she does and it shows. And? she was done in EXACTLY 4 hours. As she originally estimated. She even had a little extra time and we chatted about our love of cats :) I will MOST CERTAINLY be using this service again and recommend it to all my friends looking for similar services. I wish I'd known about Ideal Cleaning when my parents died... I see what an amazing benefit they'd have been then. But I know now going forward!!

I was going in for surgery and needed my tiny apartment cleaned beforehand. I admit there was a lot of dust on all bookshelves and items. The woman that came missed some key spots and I had to show her where to dust in some instances (the piano for example). After she left I kept finding places that had been missed. For example, she wiped the bookshelves but didn't lift the books so there was still dust; the wall clock; under furniture and in corners. She also had trouble with the vacuum because the bag was full and she didn't recognize that so she wasn't able to thoroughly vacuum before her time was up. She did mention to me some things that she couldn't do in the time allotted such as washing the moldings around the doors (fingerprints!) When my brother came to take me to surgery he told me he spent the better part of the day cleaning what had been missed or left. The arrangements for the service and the punctuality of the cleaner were good. I just wish for this amount of money that I'd gotten a better cleaning. I might try them again to see if the next cleaning goes better .

I had a very disappointing experience with Ideal Cleaning Services. I'm moving into a new home next week and I booked Ideal to do the pre-move in cleaning on Monday (3 days before our move in date). After they gave me a few dates to choose from, I confirmed the date and time with them via email, emailed a few more times about details, and it ends up they did not reserve the date for me. They called 3 days before the service date to cancel stating I hadn't confirmed the date, even though it's as plain as day in our numerous email exchanges. As this was the first company I've tried on Angie's List, I'm extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this company - they are highly disorganized and have poor customer service.

The business manager, Apolonia, is very organized and professional. She scheduled the job to fit my timing and also made every effort to be very clear upfront as to what services I needed and what the charges would be. Martha, the lady who was assigned to the job, was punctual, cooperative, and meticulous. The whole process went very smoothly with very good communication, first with Apolonia and Martha contacting me to confirm the appointment and then with a follow up call from Apolonia to confirm everything was satisfactory. If you visit their website, you can get a sense of how well organized they are, in terms of checklists of services and also in terms of their very systematic pricing schedule. As an example, when Martha arrived, she determined that my apartment's dirt level was "light" which for the services I requested (move-in / move-out cleaning) led to an hourly rate of $34, and she estimated the work woudl take 5 hours. They confirmed that this was acceptable to me before proceeding.

Ideal was very responsive and we were able to make an appointment very quickly (within a day) which was just what we needed. They used email very effectively for giving information about the cleaning services and for confirmation of the appointment. The cleaning person was prompt, friendly and worked very hard. She did a great job and I would certainly use the service again.

The first scheduled appointment had to be changed with relatively short notice. This worried me but since then things have gone very smoothly.

I ended up not booking with them although I would have had I felt like they were willing to make the trip.

I recently hired Ideal Cleaning to replace my existing cleaning service. Apolonia was quick to respond to my inquiry and arranged for Marta to come for four hours. Marta was on time, friendly and went right to work. After four hours the place was spotless. She is also good with my cats. I made arrangements for Marta to come every two weeks. She has been 3 times and I am very pleased. 9/29/2012 Update- I sold my apartment an moved out of the city. I informed Apolonia that i needed one more cleaning, but would no longer need toe bi-weekly service. I said that the apartment was going to be empty and that i would need her to provide the supplies. We agreed that Martha would come on Saturday, 9/29. This was a very important cleaning, as the closing and walk through are scheduled for Tuesday, 10/2. This morning I received en email stating that Martha was having difficulty getting into Manhattan from Queens. There were subway changes for weekend repair. She said she was fully booked on Monday and offered to refer me to another service. THe work was not done. I looked at the subway website and it sure looked to me like you could get to Manhattan from Queens. I feel that, as I was no longer an ongoing client I fell down the priority list. I am very disappointed.

I have used other cleaning services in the past and have always been disappointed. So, I consider myself very lucky to have found Ideal Cleaning. The owner is extremely responsive and calls you back almost immediately. When I spoke to her initially and told her about what I had encountered with the other cleaning services, she really seemed to "get me" and understood right away what my cleaning needs were. She reiterated to me what she thought I needed, and she was absolutely correct. She gave me an approximate estimate of time and quoted me a price that was extremely reasonable. The cleaner that she sent was extremely thorough and did a great job. I don't think my bathroom has ever sparkled like that! She was personable and understood what I was asking for. I intend to start having them come every other week. Ever since I fired my last cleaning service (who had left mildew in the shower and rings in the toilet), I have been trying to keep up with cleaning my house myself, but it's impossible with a full-time job and a toddler at home. This cleaning service is the answer for me!! I am updating this review (6/26/12) to say that I am highly disappointed that I have been told that this company no longer does regular cleanings on Long Island. I agreed to the travel fee, the LIRR fee, and the minimum hours requirement, and yet they still have decided that they will no longer be providing regular/weekly cleaning services on Long Island. Here I thought I had found the answer to my house cleaner dilema, only be to disappointed yet again. I honestly have no idea who I am going to hire at this point. I am extremely disappointed in Ideal.

Everything went well. I can recommend Carmen to anyone in NYC. And she was early!

In a word: GREAT. We are very pleased with the service we received. The staffer they sent was on time, very friendly, and did an excellent job. Based on our experience with her first visit, we have set up a contract for her to come to our apartment every other week. We'd never hired anyone to clean our home before, so we were a little nervous. But Ideal Cleaning put us at ease and we're very happy with our arrangement. I wish we'd done this a long time ago.

This was an incredible pre-Passover experience. The cleaner actually came EARLY. She was intelligent. She listened carefully to my what's what. She asked me where my cleaning supplies were, and I showed her. I had purchased everything on the list of necessary cleaning supplies Ideal supplied beforehand. Apolonia, proprietor of Ideal, called several times to check in while the cleaner was working. Everything I wanted cleaned was cleaned. NOTHING was BROKEN!! The cleaner was very careful with my things and asked before doing things which might inadvertently mess up my kosher kitchen, which I greatly appreciated. She worked very industriously the whole time and was very efficient. I know who I will be calling to clean for Passover next year, and if I need cleaning help for other occasions. It is a no-brainer, after you've been stood up, had precious things broken, had cleaners use your bathroom without even closing the door (they were saggy panted before saggy was cool...), or had cleaners just do a lousy sloppy job that took hours anyway. This was a great find. Thank you, Angieslist and thank you, Apolonia. Most of all, thank you Ms. Cleaner Extraordinaire!

I called this company after trying many,many others. I was always disappointed with people not listening or actually caring. I require attention to detail and that is exactly what the service provided. They were right on time and even addressed my needs again. They were pet friendly which was also important to me. The price I paid was a little higher than other companies I have used before, but I believe you get what you pay for and they were worth every penny!! Tamatha

After reading the reports on Angie's List, I decided this was the company I'd like to try, so I gave them a call. Apolonia got back to me very soon, and she sounded very reassuring. My schedule was a mess last week, but I wanted the apartment cleaned before I left town. She was very patient with me, and we finally scheduled a cleaner to come Thursday afternoon. From the moment Jeiza walked in the door, she inspired my confidence. We carefully went over details, and then I went out to do various chores. I warned her I'd have to come back before she finished, as I had to shower and get ready to go out for the evening, so asked her to do the bathrooms first. I also mentioned that the bathtub was undoubtedly beyond redemption, and she shouldn't waste too much time trying to get it clean. Well, when I came back, about 3 hours later, and went to take my shower -- I couldn't believe it, but even our grubby old bathtub was amazingly clean! By the time she finished, the whole apartment was sparking! A friend came over the next day and commented on how 'shiny' everything looked. The whole experience was wonderful. Whenever I need cleaning again, I hope to be able to hire an IDEAL cleaner. And I've definitely recommended them to friends. Thank you, Apolonia, for all of your help.

I used the deal on Angie's List to try out the service. The housecleaner came early but waited patiently in the lobby until I was ready. She was friendly and did a great job with the bathroom, kitchen, floors and dusting. Ideal sent out very clear emails ahead of her visit to manage expectations.

Overall it was a very good experience.

Update It went very well. Feb 5, 2012 Overall it was only ok. The job was simple and wasn't done at A level. I may use them if they send someone different.

i am having service again next week as it went well. i will be able to be home that day to instruct more of a familiar by weekley service.I was unable to be home the first time,so we comunicated by phone,which was fine. I would like to meet in person next week and get a routine.I prefer not to be home,I like the independence of a worker to get into their own groove. looking forward to it. .

She was prompt, and professional. I gave her a quick walk through the apartment, explaining what I wanted done. She did a good job, and after three hours I had a clean apartment. There were a few corners and such that were over looked but nothing grievous. I have a 3 bedroom apartment and that is a lot to get done in three hours. In the future I will probalby make the appointment for a longer duration. All in all very happy with the results and plan on using Ideal again.
