During the covered period, it was only necessary for Handyman to clear snow on one occasion. This was on January 21, 2012. On that day, there was approximately 2 inches of snow reported, and there was accumulated snow on my walk and steps. Handyman came to my home that afternoon and I saw him clear the snow. This was the final time he appeared, and the final time he needed to appear. After this date, through the termination of the contract, there was no appreciable snow, and absolutely no ice, as the temperatures were too warm. The contract ended April 1st . On April 3rd I called, requesting a refund for the balance owed. I had never received any statements from Handyman. The representative (?Alec?) responded that a check would be sent ?in two weeks.? I waited a month, and did not receive a check. Finally, on May 1st, I called , and left a message, saying that if I did not receive a refund by the end of the week, I would take further action. On Friday, May 4th, I received a statement (enclosed) and a check for $45. I was shocked to discover that Handyman claimed to have been to my home to clear snow and ice 9 times. This was impossible. I have enclosed the official weather information for my zip code, for the dates Handyman claimed ?Snow Removal and Deicing.? Please note that on the dates in question: 1/21 (1.6 inches reported; snow remove, as noted above) 1/22 no snow reported 2/8 only 0.3 inches reported (no accumulation on walks or roadways) 2/9 no show reported 2/15 no show reported 2/16 no snow reported 2/23 no snow reported (maximum temperature 61 degrees F.) 2/28 no snow reported (maximum temperature 51 degrees F.) 3/11 no snow reported (maximum temperature 57 degrees F. ) NY Handyman charged for 8 hours of snow removal and deicing that could not and did not take place. Accordingly, I am owed $360 from Handyman of NY, in order to satisfy their contractual responsibility.

It went very well. Both of the handymen were reliable and friendly. I would use them again.

My overall experience was excellent. Mr. Islenteve conducted himself courteously and professionally. The quality of his work was excellent and I will certainly use hire him again for other projects. In addition, his regular prices are reasonable.

He was great! His assistant made a mistake which was taken care of immediately. He accommodated a last minute & rescheduled appointment as well for me.

After purchasing a deal from Angie's List, I contacted Dmitriy by email. I told him what I needed and when I was available. He was quick to respond with an email requesting my desired time. We agreed on a date and a window of time to begin. Dmitriy called me prior to his arrival. He arrived at the time promised and quickly got to work. He installed a ceiling fan in my master bedroom. I was please with the job and the clean up. He also changed a valve under my kitchen sink and gave be advice on what else needed to be done. Once again, quick and clean. I am glad that I found him. The big box store charges over $100 just to install fans. I will definitely recommend and call on Dmitriy again.

We looked the handyman up on Angie's List, he was easy going, polite,and accommodating.

Dmitriy was very pleasant and worked quickly, neatly and efficiently.

Dmitri arrived on time in clean clothes offered to remove shoes which I appreciated. He assessed problem and quickly fixed it.He returned another day for help me put up made.

Job went very well. Demitree, informed me that he was in transit, he was considerate by letting me know of lateral wall. Did great job and very reasonable price.

When I told the man who answered the phone what I wanted done, he proceeded to tell me he didn't paint unless I paid extra and , he didn't lay flooring unless I paid an extra $175. The fact that I was supposed to get 3 handyman hours was irrelevant to him. Not only was this NOT made clear in the deal advertisement but when I challenged him on it he got antsy. When I said that it did not state ANY exclusions in the advertisement his answer was 'well it didn't say we would do those things!!' This is no answer and a dreadful way to do business - if he thought I was going to spend $175 to lay a small piece of $25 vinyl in a rented apartment he was sadly mistaken however politeness goes a long way. I have other things i need done but I have no intention of dealing with a 'bait & Switch' artist to get anything done. I purchased the 3 hours AND I told him I would be more than happy to pay him the extra $45 per hour stated in the advertisement if work too longer. If you have any sense you will avoid this deal like the plague. I am VERY wary of using Angie's list as well now and deeply disappointed at their lack of interest in this issue - I got my money back, but no explanation, no apology nothing!

Dmitriy came on time worked very fast and also worked in my tenants apartments. We had a misunderstanding about the special and each apartment would be a different price, but he charge me $99 and did my apartment and two other tenants. He did everything fast and very good and had a half hour left and he put my pantry together, which I was very grateful. He is my new handyman and I have aready told my friends about him.

Overall, very pleased with service. After being e-mailed offer of 3 hours of handyman services for $99 I called Dmitriy and explained what I needed doing; we arranged a time 2 days later which happened to be on a Saturday - no problem for him. I had multiple things that needed hanging: plasma, speaker brackets, larger mirrors and pictures. Dmitriy set about it all quickly and his work was generally good to excellent (all things straight, secure on the wall etc. - occasionally his misplaced his drill hole which meant drilling an additional hole but the end result was good). He was well equipped and had basic spare fixtures where needed (which he didn't charge for). Since I didn't want him to waste time cleaning up I went around with a vacumn cleaner afterwards but generally he made minimal mess (other than what naturally drilling into a wall will produce). He completed all the work within the 3 hours and didn't try to work slowly or anything to incur an extra hour etc. Dmitriy was friendly, courteous, on-time and efficient. Bottom line: for this kind of work, I'd use him again - especially if the offer is still valid.

He was supposed to come on Friday, he called at 4:30 and said he couldn't make it. He came in on Monday, and he was supposed to come in and paint. He was gone when I got there, and I was in the garden so I didn't hear the phone. He called me 4 times, so I sent my handyman to go and check the work and I was on my way to my place. The tenant called and said he left his materials so I gladly let him in. When he came in, he tore up the drywall and told me that it was his material. The tenant called me, frightened, saying that he was tearing up the place. We then called the police. They came and wanted to do a vandalism charge, but since I had hired him, he was technically a contractor. Since I hadn't paid him, it was a civil matter. I just want to make sure he doesn't get paid for it.

Before they left NY Handyman provided me with information and discount coupons for many other services that they offer. I used to be able to do much of the repair work around the house myself. I have recently become mobility impaired and can no longer perform theswe tasks. It has been frustrating finding folks willing to do these types of things at a reasonable rate. NY Handyman certainly fills that bill and I look forward to using them in the future ! You will not be sorry if you choose NY Handyman

He lied about his credentials and presented false information. He was refused admission to my building because of his lie.

The technicians came on time and well prepared. They didnt waste time and finished the job rather quickly. The other time I had to reschedule the last minute and the manager was nice enough to find the closest available spot for me. I never had any troubles with the company.

I called the company to clean my vent and they came in the same day to do an estimate. it appeared that they do exterminating as well. So the estimator offered me a very good price if i get both services. the technicians arrived the next day. they were working fast and clean. i did not have any mess left. the quality was good too.
