Overall went pretty well. She showed up on time, was pleasant, and basically did the work as requested. Ended up taking her somewhat longer than anticipated so charge was higher than we thought, and we felt that some areas could have been more thoroughly cleaned (e.g. dust remained on some surfaces, kitchen floor didn't seem fully clean).

Trying to clean the very dusty wooden slatted blinds took up almost all her time. She apologized for that but her time was up. She was EXTREMELY professional and really knew a lot about cleaning. She had strong opinions about products and equipment. I appreciated that. I had to leave before she was finished so she stayed after and closed the door when she left. Totally trustworthy and nice.

Amanda is a lovely cleaner and a great person. I feel they are a little pricey. but I think it's worth it. She cleans with green products and is trustworthy.

Scheduling went well, contact was very responsive and worked with me regarding dates. Expectations and duties were clear and transparent. Communications were very friendly and professional. Cleaners did a very good job and we were very satisfied with the work. Constructive criticism: Purchased package, but needed additional hours, required to pay cash for additional hours as first time buyer, this was inconvenient and odd. Cleaners did not follow all instructions on printed sheet I provided. This did not impact the quality of the work, which was all very good. Would have been nice to receive a personal call afterwards to discuss service. Overall was very happy with the service and would use them again.

I broke my ankle in May and I needed somebody to come and help me clean up. What wound up happening was the company sent over this woman who had had a surgery herself. It was terrible. The woman that came to my house seemed desperate to keep her job. I don't know what was going on. I don't know if she was legal. It just seemed very weird. The woman had a surgery and they sent her to my house. They had called me and said, "Oh, we're going to send over Anne Marie. Just to let you know she did recently have some surgery and she is recovering." That automatically raised a red flag in my head. I said, "I can't walk and I need somebody to really help me to bring the laundry and stuff. I don't think she should be working." They said, "No, she said she's fine." It sounded like this poor woman had no insurance and no health and was desperate. I said, "Well, let her come over if she says she's fine." Sure enough, she did come over and she was not fine. I didn't want her to do anything. It was horrible. I said, "I'm sorry but you should go home and rest." She said, "Please don't tell my boss that I can't work because I need money." This was terrible. I just felt so bad. I gave her a tip anyway, and I paid for her cab. But, I'll never call them again. Then, they did call me back and said, "Oh, why did you wind up sending Anne Marie home?" I said, "That woman was very sick." I was really angry at them for doing that. I felt bad for her. I don't know what the story was. But, it seemed horrible for a company to use a woman like that who was very sick. Another thing about this company was, there always seemed to be an excuse. We had to have something scheduled and then they said, "Oh, we can't do that date. Can we do this date?" This went on for a while. And just because I was so desperate to get somebody in, I went along with it. They didn't wind up charging me because I didn't let her do anything. When I told them that she couldn't work and I really needed somebody, they got a little rude. They didn't offer to send someone else out, or maybe they did, but I just couldn't trust them at that point. They really should take better care of their employees. Obviously, this woman wasn't getting paid enough that she had to work when she was sick. I don't want to support people like that.

Friendly and unchatty, professional cleaning and she was a quiet worker which is very nice!!

For the first two cleanings, I had two women come together for three hours each (six hours of cleaning). The results were erratic. After three times having them come and trying to make clear what needed to be done and how I would like it done, it just got worse and worse. However, Kim and Patrick, the managers were excellent in terms of follow up and trying to rectify the situation. They offered a partial refund for the last day of cleaning due to the problems (PS--I didn't ask, they offered--good customer service!). The responsiveness was always prompt and appropriate. Kim suggested one cleaner for the day instead of two for the half day. She personally chose someone that she thought would be "very particular" for me. Jenel has come twice now (second time today) and it is a world of difference! She is very thorough and completely responsive in terms of my comments. I am a much happier camper and will continue to use Best Homes cleaning.

They were very good no problems what so ever. They are very well consciencious and very well trained. They were very responsive to what I asked them to do. I have no complaints

They did a great job very polite and neat

Basic cleaning of the kitchen, living room, master bedroom & bathroom. Floors looked very good when finished. The women was on time and very nice. I would suggest a better breakdown of what would be able to get cleaned in the time given.

Chantal, who cleaned my house, was excellent. She is a perfectionist and hard worker. She's a no-nonsense person who takes her job very seriously. I've hired her since and will continue to do so.

I asked her to concentrate on the kitchen and bathroom, which she did. She got into the trouble areas that I pointed out,and did a great job. The company was great to work with, and followed up with me several times to ensure I was using the voucher I had purchased. They were fantastic

Focussed on kitchen, cleaning all cupboards inside and out. As they needed a good clean, didnt get as much done as hoped. However, this was mainly due to the time to empty and refill cupboards. Was well worth the promotion and would do again.

After some glitches in communication by phone, once Chantal arrived, all was great. She was both thorough and enthusiastic. She made sure to clarify which products to use on which surfaces (ie: marble counters and floors, soft wood floors) and even made suggestions re: better products. I'm thrilled with her work.

The cleaner who showed up had a knee injury, so she had some difficulty negotiating the stairs, which she was asked to mop, sweep and vacuum from basement to third floor. But she performed all the work she was asked to do in the time allotted.

Chantal made my apartment?s bathroom look better than it did when I went to the open house 15 years ago. My kitchen could be now photographed for ELLE Décor. I do not exaggerate when it comes to discussing service. She thorough and detail-oriented, and takes this work very seriously, as a professional businessperson does. I am happy to have found the provider of housecleaning I will exclusively use.

They completed task in a timely manner

First cleaning: Best Home Services contacted me via email promptly after I purchased the service. In trying to arrange the service, I emailed and spoke directly with Kim the General Manager - she was friendly, wanted to make sure she understood what I needed done, said and she would do her best considering I had so much I needed help with. I don't have a typical work schedule and I wanted to be home when the cleaner arrived so I could give her instruction (my place was a mess after some ceiling repairs and painting), and Kim was easy to email back and forth with until we could find a date/time that worked. Small hangup with directions when the person cleaning my house came, but she would have absolutely been on time without the confusion - I mention this not as criticism but to point out that Kim was easy to reach that day and was in immediate contact with the person assigned to my home. The lady who came to clean my house was methodical (great because I was not organized!), asked what I wanted as I wanted it, didn't mind that I was trying to do my own cleaning at the same time, and worked steadily through the 3 hours that I paid for - and got to everything I needed! Everything got a good once-over, and while my floors could have probably used a second mopping, that's not because of the cleaning service, but because I had more of a post-renovation mess than a normal/needs-a-weekly-cleaning mess to address. And that said, I'm still FINALLY comfortable walking around the house barefoot!! They were well worth the money I paid. Update (second cleaning): I won't put a review for every time I use Best Home Services, but I just want to say twice now they've done an excellent job, and gone above and beyond. It took me 3 months to finally get someone back for another cleaning, and it was because my schedule is very terrible - and Kim patiently scheduled/rescheduled every time! Best home services sensed what I needed other than just basic cleaning (my place is large for 1 person and I was overwhelmed), and made sure extra organizing in the bedroom and bathroom was done; a little extra attention was also paid to making my place feel a bit more like home - a couple lamps I had bought but done nothing with were plugged in, and a new sheet/duvet set sitting in shopping bags in the corner ended up neatly made on my bed! Not everyone needs this kind of cleaning/organization assistance, but my point is that if you communicate with them, they will make sure your needs are met. This plus main bath is again sparkling clean and floors are barefoot worthy!

She arrived on time, knew how to clean, and did it.

I purchased the 3-hour special for $88 and got an extra $5 off for purchasing by phone. Ann Marie arrived early and got right to work. She cleaned a bathroom, living room, dining room and stairway. She was pleasant and friendly and also thorough and fast. She finished ahead of time so I asked her to clean a shelf and the floor in the kitchen. She was more than happy to do it. She told me she likes to clean. Angie's List telephone reps were friendly and helpful and Ann Marie was great. Although Angie's told me cleaners bring their own supplies, they do not. Best's confirmation email included a list of what I needed to have on hand, so I was prepared. I will definitely use Best Home Services again. I hope they honor requests because I will ask for Ann Marie.

I had never used a cleaning service before; the individual that was sent was professional and efficient. She clearly took pride in her work [which I appreciated] and did a great job. In the event that I find myself needing help again, I will not hesitate to use this service and request her again.

Sheila was very thorough and professional. She did everything that I asked and didn't miss anything. It was a pleasure to walk into a nice clean home. Thanks Kim!!

Nice job. I liked that they called and talked through my priorities. All that I asked them to do, they did. It was a very good experience.
