When I made the appointment, the owner was not enthusiastic about the time; I wanted to start at 10 am since we have late night schedules and sleep somewhat later in the morning. The owner preferred to start earlier, so she could fit two jobs in the same day--the ownder then agreed to the 10:00 AM starting time. We were, in fact, awakened at 8:30 by the cleaning person. She stated that it was a mistake. Since we were not ready for her, we told her to come back in an hour. When she returned, we suggested she start with putting Easy Off in the oven. This had been discussed with the owner when we made the appointment. The cleaning person balked at this, so my husband ended up spraying the oven. I then pointed her to one of the bathrooms and asked her to start there. I went into another room and when I came back, she was still just standing there, I again pointed her to the bathroom. At that point, she requested that I show her the apartment first. She then started in the bath and called me in. She advised me that the shower curtain liner would have to be washed in the machine; she would not clean it herself. After this less than wonderful start, she did get to work. She asked me on one or two occasions if I really wanted something done, which we did. Another problem as that we told her THREE TIMES that we did not want her to clean the HDTV. We explained that the screen scratches and dulls easily, and I would do it myself. She said she understood. But by the end of the day, I had to stop her because she started to put the brush attachment of the vacuum cleaner on the screen of the set. She seemed rather slow. The owner had given me an estimate of 5 hours, but she took 8. It is hard to judge whether this was necessary. We give the apartment a cursory cleaning, but it was in need of something more thorough. On the one hand, she did get to a number of jobs that we never or seldom get to. On the other hand, there were some obvious lapses. For example, one side a piece of furniture was dusted, but the other side was not. After my husband sprayed the oven, she did clean that but totally neglected the broiler pan beneath the oven, which my husband had also sprayed. The original estimate of $148 was was based on 5 hours. In the end, it cost $226. In addition the email sent out to confirm the appointment hinted that a gratuity was in order. In the end, I was not sure of a grade. I took one letter grade off because of attitude problems. I wasn't sure how to judge the cleaning. It was, on the whole, adequate, but hardly sterling. In the past, I had used another cleaning service through Angie's list; she had also been very slow. But she had been very thorough. That cleaning job was far superior to this one. Moreover, that cleaning person was a whole lot more cooperative.

This company handled our project in an excellent and professional manner. Rabbia had exacting attention to detail and produced results for which we could not have hoped. Thank you for the superior job.

The woman who came to clean, Melissa, was very punctual and came 20 minutes early to accommodate my schedule. She got right to work. Overall bathroom cleaning and vacuuming was solid. Floor cleaning and dusting was exceptional! She really cleaned all surfaces in my home. Overall communicating with Best has be extremely easy, Mary is very responsive and I will continue to work with Melissa and can tell that it will easy to communicate with her as well. She was very receptive and professional. I am picky and have used multiple other cleaning services, thus far, Best is the Best!

I highy reccomend both the peson who arrived punctually at 9:am and the professional yet friendly attitude she displayed. I am happy to have found her. The work was completed in the time prearranged and there is a great deal of flexibility in personality which I appreciate.

Overall, it was a very positive experience. I initially contacted Mary, the coordinator, via email, and she responded very quickly by phone. She made the arrangements with my husband, but was also kind enough to email me with the details, including a very clearly written list of required and suggested cleaning products, and instructions for payment. She had two women come for 4 hours each, for a total of $226. The women were 20 minutes late, which did bother me, but they stayed 20 minutes beyond the scheduled time to make up for it. I felt one of the women did a more thorough job than the other one, but it was a huge job (the apartment hadn't been really cleaned in almost a year), and I was impressed with how much they got done in 4 hours. I don't think our stove looked that clean when we first moved in! Definitely make sure you have the required products at your home when they arrive - we had forgotten to get one of the products, and I ended up having to make a run to the store to get it. I asked that they clean our ceiling fans, and although they seemed a little surprised at the request, they did get two of them done, and did a great job (it involves taking the covers off of 4 bulbs, hand-washing them, and then washing the blades while standing on a ladder - not an easy job). I should also mention that it was 95 degrees that day, and only part of the apartment was air-conditioned. After they left, Mary followed up with an email to see how it went, and was responsive to my complaint about the tardiness. Overall, I was most impressed by her attention to me as a customer. I don't think I can afford to use the service on a regular basis, but I would definitely use them again for a big cleaning job.

The cleaning person arrived on time & was very pleasant. She cleaned my apt thoroughly, as well as the refrigerator & the medicine cabinet (which is what I specified). The place looked shiny & smelt clean when she was done. Ms. Cavanaugh herself was also very responsive, polite & well spoken. I was quite satisfied with the service & will recommend it.

I loved their service. And I have to admit that I'm addicted and will call for their services again and again.

They are good and I have had a satisfactory experience with them. I do not have any complaints.

The two invividuals who came to clean did a very thorough, professional job. The apartment had ot been well-cleaned in a long time so we wanted a "deep cleaning" to get us back to a baseline. The two biggest jobs were the kitchen and the bathroom, although we also needed some cleaning in the livingroom, diningroom, and long hallway. The cleaners did a very good job and paid a lot of attention to detail. For example, the apartment has a lot of molding and trim and they dusted carefully along every inch. In th bathroon, they used magic erasers and a lot of elbow grease to go over everything and get it all very clean. In summary, I was quite satisfied.

The service was great! Everything was as expected. The owner estimated it would be a 5-6 hour job, but it was actually less which was appreciated. Overall, it was a good experience. The price reflects 4 hours of work.

A good natured young woman arrived on time (with a little delay because of the subway) and got to work immediately. Because I wasn't able to check out my supplies, at one point she quickly went to the market and bought what I was missing. She not only cleaned everything beautifully, but she actually put every object back where it belonged. Hey, folks, you can't do better than this!

I use Best for both my and my brothers homes. We have been happy with the cleaners and the work. The women who have come have been pleasant and did a good complete job. (I am a lousy housekeeper but fussy about who works for me, they do good work and I never feel guilty about being messy and that matters to me) im happy with them

Overall it went very well. Alisson and Shawn were very nice and professional and "hit the ground running". My only suggestion is that I should have been more clear as to exactly where to clean and supervised more closely. A cabinet in the kitchen was missed (not a biggie) and kitchen floor near refrigerator appears to need some more work.l

First session was top rate. Future sessions:Progressively poor. At the end, hardly could call it "cleaning" . It was the dust/vaccume/wipedown. Needed someone to get the dustbunnies behind the couch and under the dressers. Wash a floor every once in a while. Told Mary not to send me grannies with poor eyesight and bad backs. Last cleaner was a granny with poor eyesight and a bad back. I'm a granny with poor eyesight and a bad back. That's why I'm paying for the service. Will continue search.

It went very well. When I originally made these arrangements, I spoke to Mary in the Best Home Services office and she was efficient and businesslike. She was able to provide services even with the short 1-week notice that I gave her. She asked for details of what needed to be done, and along with describing the job, I thought photos might be helpful so I sent her pictures I took with my cell phone. When the two women came, they saw what needed to be done and did it quickly and professionally. They even made some cleaning suggestions, which I welcomed. They also had me look everything over before they left to make sure I was satisfied with their work. They had more elbow grease then I've ever had! I feel the total fee I paid is fair considering it was for two people who worked a total of 19 hours.

The staff showed up on time, was left alone to do the job and completed the job on time. I was very pleased with the work product and the price.

They worked for 4 hours. I can just email them to tell them when I will need someone. The person who does the schedule organizing is very efficient. The workers are very punctual and I think the price is fair for New York. I use them as a back up service and will use them occasionally while I look for somebody who is more permanent.

Noreen arrived exactly on time--even schlepping some of her own cleaning tools although I had prepared for her arrival by buying some of the products Mary suggested. I left my apartmen to her--ansd went and did chores outside the apartment. when i returned the apartment was clean!! That's the whole story.
