Mary answered my call on a Saturday and was able to organize a team that day to come for the cleaning project in 8 days. She provided a detailed list of cleaning supplies so that I could be ready for the cleaners. The three cleaners arrived on time, checked out the supplies and went to work. They were pleasant and very professional. Cared about doing a great job and meeting my expectations. They completed all the projects I identified -- and they also found projects that needed to be done that I had not yet identified. Very positive experience. I would definitely use them again.

Overall, mediocre, on time, cleaning lady was nice, big stuff-floors, windows, bathroom done, did not clean behind the toilet, did not dust under lamps or top of picture frames. Not sure if will use again.

This was to clean an apartment after the owner had moved out. Adrian arrived on time as the movers were leaving, reviewed the supplies and went to work. He worked diligently and consistently. It was up to my expectations.

I have been looking for great housecleaning service for months since moving into our 1BR apartment in Sunnyside. I've had several different people come and this was by far the best service! Chantal was right on time and very warm and friendly. I liked her immediately, but was sold after I saw what a great job she did. The bathroom was literally sparkling! And there was not a bit of dust in sight! She was extremely thorough but efficient. The only complaint I have was that it was a bit pricey which may prevent me from becoming a regular customer. Overall fantastic job!!

Very satisfied with the result. It lasted 4 hours and they came on time and were very polite and eager to please.

Adrian and Erika did a great job cleaning the house. They were thorough and very professional throughout. This was my first experience hiring an outside cleaning company and I must say it went very well.

We were displaced due to the Hurricane and finally found a place, but it needed a good cleaning. Patrick came over and did a great job. While we still needed to do a few things ourselves we are very happy with his results.

Me and my girlfriend live in a 1 bedroom apartment in the East Village and after a trying out a few different house cleaning services we had always been left wanting so we decided to try Best Home Services We were very happy with the job that the woman Best Home sent did. It looked better than it did when we first moved in a few months ago! She was very professional, pleasant, and was even 10 minutes early which I really appreciated as i have had some bad experiences in the past. I am definitely going to use this company going forward. Everything has gone well. We've been using the same housekeeper since we started; she comes every two weeks and has done a good job.

Mary was extremely responsive and flexible when I had to reschedule the original time. Her directions for what was required to confirm services and the products needed for cleaning were crystal clear. Total estimated time was 4hrs for $137. It went over by 1hr for an additional $30 and another $35 for tip. For almost $200 I'm not sure the value was there especially since I'm fairly neat to begin with. Quality of service was good. The house cleaner had to go over by almost 1hr. It was mainly because I don't have a vacuum cleaner. But she wasn't able to get to the refrigerator as originally requested and the shower stall wasn't done thoroughly. She had missed a mildew spot by the door. I would probably use them for a thorough cleaning but not sure the value is there for ongoing weekly or bi-weekly maintenance.

I recently purchased a coop that needed a thorough cleaning before moving in. Eve was early and ready to go. She did such an amazing job in the kitchen! She made the appliances look brand new - ditto for the bathroom. She was accommodating and professional. It was worth every penny. i would definitely hire her again.

They went above and beyond my expectations to the extent of even cleaning the fireplace, washing all baseboards and hanging a shower curtain. Both ladies were pleasant, hard-working and experienced. I was extremely happy and would use the service again.

The cleaner arrived 1/2 hour early and I was not home. She called her employer, who tried to call me. When I arrived about 5 minutes later, the young woman was waiting for me in the lobby. She came upstairs and went right to work. She was efficient and pleasant. She fnished a little after 12 noon. My only complaint was that her employer made it seem like I was negligent for not being home when the cleaner arrived early even though I arrived well before the appointed time. But, all in all, I was very happy with the service received.

I had guests coming over on Sunday and realized I would have no time to clean. I called Mary on Friday, desperate for a cleaner. She calmed me down and said do her best to find someone on such short notice then asked all the details and times that would work for me. She gave me a good faith estimate, then promised to call me back. She checked in twice to let me know she hadn't forgotten and was still working on it. By the end of Friday, I was set. Keyle came over Saturday night and got down to business. It really made Sunday a lot easier on me.

My experiences with Best Home Services has been good. The first time I called I wanted someone on very short notice and she tried very hard to work me in. The second time I called there was some mistake with the timing and she called and alerted me. I would say she is very responsive and professional. The woman who came was very nice, did a good job, and was responsive when I asked her to fix something. She had a very good attitude. For me she was fine, responsive, and dependable.

My apartment had been neglected for awhile for the usual reasons - full time job, running errands on the weekends, just no time or energy to really clean. I also have 4 small dogs and 2 cats so tumbleweeds of hair are the norm even if I vacuum regularly!! I contacted Mary and told her the condition of the apartment, and we contracted for 2 ladies to come over and tackle the job. The ladies were punctual and professional, and did an awesome job. I had requested that they not open the screens on my windows, as my cats will try to jump out and when I came into the kitchen and saw the window, I said, "oh no, you have the window open!" and she said, "no, it's closed".....the window was so clean it looked like there was NO window. Wild. Will be using them monthly going forward!! Great experience.

Did you ever hire a cleaner that you needed to constantly figure out things for and make sure the right products were used? Well, not the owner and her crew. You'll spend more time on the phone than expected but that translates into the making sure that the things you need done get done. The estimates are extremely precise...and honest. Whereas many companies try to upsell, Mary actually talked me out of my initial request for two visits, saying that one would suffice. It did. The two cleaners knew which products to use and exactly how to clean. And if there's something they need, they'll ask for it. And they'll politely tell you if you get in the way. Both were friendly without being too chatty and I felt comfortable leaving the apartment even though it was the first visit. Price gets professionalism and reliability, but I think the hourly could be a little better.

I had been away last week for a little bit and the cleaner came in my absence. She comes once every other week, for three hours for just housekeeping. She has been fantastic. My work schedule is very wildly and they are very amenable and flexible with the schedule. They are on time and competent. I would recommend them.

While Mary was lovely on the phone, and the women who she assigned were also lovely, pretty much everything else was substandard. I received a list of products that were recommended, which I purchased, only to be told by the cleaner that she didn't use certain of those products and I should go out and buy magic eraser (by the way, a great suggestion!). The other cleaner showed up an hour late. While Mary was in constant contact with me, the first cleaner waited almost a half hour to get started and then worked alone until the second cleaner arrived. I had asked for spring cleaning--I wanted windows washed, ovens cleaned, moldings and woodwork done. None of this happened. They were here for over 4 hours and the apartment looked no different that when they arrived. They cleaned one food cabinet but the outside handles were still grimy. They never got out of my kitchen (and I have a housekeeper once a week so it was hardly filthy), never got to the main bathrooms or bedrooms. It was actually shocking. And I was there to show them what I wanted done. Again, when I complained, Mary apologized and offered me a free "make up" but I had needed because my daughter was getting married and I was hosting a Sunday brunch. So early that morning, I was dusting the piano keys. This was my first time using Angies list and it was not a good experience I am sorry to say.

Mary was very accommodating, and sent a team of two excellent workers. They both worked hard, with a minimum of fuss and disruption. Kitchen and bathroom sparkled. Don't know how they did it, but the bathroom fixtures have gone for two weeks now, and still don't have water spots. When the first worker arrived, I mentioned that one of the tasks my regular cleaner always missed was cleaning the glass and frames of my pictures, so I'd appreciate their doing that. Melissa looked at me curiously, then said, "But that's what we do!" What a pleasure to hear that - and to see the results!

Service was good, not great. We had a 2 person crew come over to clean our 3br/2ba apt on very short notice. One was a very hard worker, got a lot done in a short amount of time, but the other seemed like she thought a good dusting would do the job. Mary followed up with us 3-4 times to get repeat business.

My interaction with Mary was pleasant, and she was very to the point and specific about what needed to be done. The women doing the cleaning showed up exactly on time and then did an excellent job. It took a little longer than we had thought, but the cleaners informed us that thie was necessary when they actually saw what needed to be done. I would absolutely hire them again.

The cleaning professional was terrific and was able to get the bathrooms and kitchen sparkling again. She also spotted a problem with with the floor in the shower stall and our building is now going to fix it. She was also a lovely person. My dealings with the owner/manager were smooth and professional as she responded to all my communiqu?s very promptly.

Horrible job all around. Mary had sort of a rough personality on the phone, but I figured she was just a hard worker. I ended up feeling like I was working for her, however, and was being asked to make things convenient for her...she was high maintenance and requested I buy very specific cleaning supplies for her crew (since they travel on the subway). When they got there, (late) the ladies said they needed DIFFERENT and ADDITIONAL supplies, so I think I spent $100-150 alone on supplies. The cleaning job was absolutely horrible and kind of laughable. The kitchen cabs were all supposed to be cleaned inside and out, but you could tell that most hadn't been touched at all. The whole house was pretty poorly cleaned. I literally had to clean the ENTIRE kitchen myself, plus an entire bathroom over again. Mary said she was "devastated" and offered to send the ladies back to clean, but in the end, was totally inflexible. Considering I had already cleaned most everything, I asked if they could simply clean my father's apt, on the same block, instead. That was a no. She would only be re-cleaning what they didn't clean the first time, even though I had re-cleaned it--and then, she refused to even clean the entire job over. When the girl arrived, she was almost 1 hour late, even though I said that she must be on time this time. It goes on from there, but you get the idea. I really feel that I wasted $500 and it thoroughly disappoints me. I really don't understand how they got so many A's on here.
