The workers were punctual and very polite. They did an excellent job (the bathroom looks like new) and they cleaned up before they left. I would definitely use them again.

We were trying to diagnose a leak and thought it might be the grout that needed repair. Andy came on short notice and was extremely helpful and honest. He told me that the grout couldn't be repaired and that although he could do the work to patch things up, we could do it ourselves. He even took the time to tell me what products to purchase and how to complete the work.

We just moved into an older house that had not been taken care of in some time. This included the all-tile shower stall in the master bathroom, which had deep veins of mildew in all the grouting areas. Sprays from the store reduced the problem, but never made them go away. We decided we had enough. Based on AngiesList reviews, I called Grout Doctor and Andy immediately answered and scheduled a visit for the next day. He looked and measured the area and within 5 minutes I hada quote in my inbox. My wife and I immediately agreed to do the work and scheduled his guys to come over the next week. They arrived 20 minutes early and spent about 5 hours removing the old grout, re-grouting, and buffing the tiles. They told us we needed to wait about 3 days before we used the shower and we should expect to replace the grout every 5-8 years. In all, the experience was fantastic. The guys set expectations well, worked diligently and made no mess, and left us with a shower we are happy to shower in.

Called and spoke to Andy who was able to give me an appointment for an estimate within a few days of making contact with him. The estimate was a very reasonable price for the service he offered. Andy was able to even give me a Saturday appointment for the work which worked perfect with my schedule. Andy's employee arrived approximately 20 minutes early. Stated working and did a great job exceeding my expectations. My bathroom tile looks brand new. I will definitely hire the Grout Medic for any future work regarding grout repair. I'm glad that I found the company.

I would definitely recommend Grout Medic to anyone that wants to clean up or restain their grout. It made a huge difference in our kitchen, and this company was very responsive and professional. the people that came to do the work were neat and prompt. I would definitely use their services again.

The work was fine; the communication was problematic because of email problems on the provider's end that I was not made aware of until much later.

Andy couldn't have been easier and more pleasant to work with. He provided an estimate very promptly, gave me a date, followed through on reminding me of the date, came on time and provided the services I needed in a timely and very neat fashion. What an time I had working with him and his team.

The work required two appointments, one to get an estimate and one to get the work done. They were easy to contact and very flexible in their scheduling. Both the person doing the estimate and the one doing the work were clean and polite. They made the shower grout as clean as the day it was installed. I made the mistake of not having them do the walls too, which looked clean but relative to the newly cleaned shower and floor grout now look dingy. About two weeks later I noticed that the caulking was beginning to open up again. I do not think this was a defect in workmanship, rather the space was particularly large and my house does a lot of settling. I called them and they scheduled a repair three working days later, at no cost.

We had a leak in our masterbathroom shower. The leak went down one floor to the basement ceiling. I had a master plumber come only to tell me to run some tests from the shower stall, which we did. Could not pinpoint where actual leak came from. Next I called an experienced Tile man. He said that most tileman don't do regrout if that would be the problem. He said between him retiling a foot up the wall after the plumber replaced and installed a new shower liner under the shower floor, that the ballpark figure would be about $3,000.00. But he couldn't guarantee the shower still wouldn't leak because the rest of the grout was old, maybe porous. I checked Angie's List and after researching about tile repair, and regrouting, I chose, The Grout Medic of Westchester, NY.I called and spoke to the owner, Andy. I briefly discussed our problem and he felt that his company could make full repairs to the shower, so we made an appointment, and several days later, Andy, promptly came to view the leaking shower. He felt very confident that a removal of old grout and replace with new grout and seal would fix the problem. He said he would send his tech, Freddy who has regrouted over 2,000 jobs. We had another reference regrouting company come to give an estimate. The owner knew how to make repairs but could not come close to the The Grout Medic estimate. I called Andy at The Grout Medic and we set an appointment for early Dec. 2012. Freddy arrived and worked methodically and near the end of the afternoon he finished the work. It looked amazing. Freddy was extremely confident before he started that the regrout would stop the leak because he saw many areas where water could have escaped behind the interior plaster walls because when this shower was built they did not yet use the bathroom sheetrock that was water resistant. Freddy was right. He was very careful with protecting our floors and cleaned up the shower as well as can be expected. We asked him to look at a possible problem in our kitchen where the wall tile meets the granite countertop right behind the sink. We were afraid that the splashing water would leak through the cracks that were appearing behind the faucet. Although the tile was installed 4 years ago, Freddy said that they should have used a sanded caulk and not grout. He had the right caulk and he repaired that for a modest cost. Freddy told me it was important to seal the grout and tiles every 6 months to prolong the grout's life and we will do that. I would use this company again if I had another problem somewhere else in our house.

I called for an estimate and within a few days a man came out to give me an estimate. I scheduled an appointment for the work to be done in approximately one week. Another man, Freddy, came to do the work. He was a little late, but called ahead to tell me he would be. Over the years, my grout had turned orange. It was disgusting and I could never get it clean. He did an excellent job removing and replacing all the white grout, as well as, removing and replacing two tiles. The grout lines were originally made thin, but he did all the work without scratching or chipping anything. He left the bathroom very clean when he left. I waited to write this review thinking that perhaps it would only look good temporarily, but it is two months later and it still looks beautiful. I wish I had done this years ago. Sometimes I just sit and stare at how good it looks!

Excellent work regrouting and rechaulking in the showers and in the kitchen. We had a little bit of issue with discoloration afterwards but they came back and remedied in a prompt manner.

They did very good work. My tiles were terrible, and he made it all look brand new! I was estatic at how good it looked! Two other companies told me that they needed to take up the whole floor, but Andy said he could do it and it wouldn't be a problem. He was very nice and I couldn't have been happier!

Grout Medic ( Billy) arrived on time and he and I discussed what had to be done.He filled me in on some dos and donts about grout and caulk,cleaning etc. He performed the job in a reasonable amount of time,and now my shower looks great. He had done a strictly professional job.

They came to our house and gave us a quote. They were very good. I liked everything about them because they were great. They did a good job. There was one worker who came out and he did a great job. He was efficient and he was here for four hours. He did a very nice job. The price was good, but I don’t know what to compare it to. We were happy with the price. They were supposed to be here at 9 o’clock and he was here at 9 o’clock.

The guy who came to give the quote was nice, but I felt he was exaggerating a little bit. He came out and all of a sudden his nose started to run and he said he was having allergies from all the mold in the room. I didn't really believe it because it wasn't mold, it was just mildew. He then made it seem like it had to be taken care of because it was toxic. It was really interesting. They did come right away so they were available.

The owner of this franchise came to do the estimate. He was punctual and wrote up the scope of the work along with the estimate. I asked him who would be doing the actual work and he told me that he would be coming to do it.He left the estimate along with his cell phone number in case I should have any further questions. I did call him several days prior to the agreed start date with a question, but he did not return my call. On the agreed work date, Andy was not the person who arrived. The technician who had been sent did not have any paperwork with him, so he did not know the scope of the work. He asked me for my copy of the paperwork, which I provided. When I asked him about how he was going to clean the areas around the work site, he told me that this was not part of the scope of his work. As the technician was unable to do any work outside of the written scope, we contacted Andy. Andy told me that he had not said he would be here to do the work, had not received my phone message and would not be able to clean the grout around the work area in order to best match grout color. I was uncomfortable having work begun in my home by this company given the difficulties that we had already encountered, so I decided to not have them do the project. This is not a company I could recommend.

The workmanship is really good and I am very happy with it. The owner's name is Andy. It was excellent and everything was really done well. They did very good work. The workers were friendly and they didn’t interrupt very much with my routine. They put down covering on my floor to make sure that nothing got on to my carpets while they were working in the other rooms. I had got quotes from others and their price was very good. They were right on time and they were very professional. They gave me a discount which I had seen somewhere. They were very nice.

My experience with them was okay. The guy who sort of filled me on the services was great, and he helped us later on by putting up a handle on for us. He didn?t charge us for it. We had paid to do the fall in every grout. The guy that he sent to do the job the first time was not terribly professional. He was very young. He seemed to not really being so much into what he was doing. He ended up spending a good amount of time sitting outside my house and chatting with a buddy on the roof of his car. When he was complete with the job, he had scratched up the marble on our vanity. It was bad grout that he was using. He was very careless. The job was okay. It wasn?t great. It didn?t last very long. The owner was great when he came the second time and helped us out at no charge.
