I spoke with Javier from Buena Vista and made an appointment for him to visit my home in order to provide a quote. Not only did he not show up at the agreed upon time, he didn't call, and didn't answer my call when I phoned him to inquire as to whether he was running late or needed to reschedule. I left a voicemail and still haven't heard back.

We were very pleased; as other reviews mention, they were punctual, courteous, and took great care to keep our home as clean as possible while doing very messy work. They were also very flexible with scheduling, which was very helpful since we arranged for the electrical and plumbing work to be done by other contractors (who we had used previously).

They arrived as scheduled early in the morning. The first thing they did was lay tarps throughout the traffic areas where they would be moving sheetrock, including the steps (which was a pleasant surprise). They worked quickly to cut away and replace damaged sheetrock and painted areas to match. They had warned me that it was tough to get paint to match exactly (they said color would match but unless we redid whole ceiling one would be able to see where the patched area was painted); however, I know where the patches are and it is nearly impossible to see the distinction in painting in the kitchen area. They also noticed that one light fixture did not have a electrical box on it when they were re-installing it and installed one without a change in estimate.

They did a great job! Were punctual, clean and very nice. They finished on time and made sure we were happy with the work. Looking forward to working with them again.

It went very well. We recently bought a house and had substantial work to do. I sincerely wish I had met Javier at the beginning of our renovation project as he is a quality contractor. He listens, offers great solutions and his crew is very hardworking. He even worked along side his crew during one of the hottest days of the year. I have several projects that I will be planning for next year. I will definitely be calling Javier.

A great contractor is one that does quality work; charges a fair price; is responsive; and communicates well. Javier and the team at Buena Vista Home Improvements exceeded our expectations on all of these measures. Javier is easy to work and trustworthy. We went into this project interviewing a lot of different contractors, and we ultimately went with Javier for a few reasons. First and foremost, Javier made us feel comfortable. He communicates well and was responsive throughout the interviewing process. Second, he charged a fair price for the work that we needed done. Third, he had received great reviews on Angie's List. What we were hoping to find in Javier was a contractor that we can continue to do business with over time. All homeowners know that there is always something that needs to be done, and it provides great peace of mind knowing that we can call Javier. We will unhesitatingly call him early next year when our roof needs done, and we will also look to him for refurbishing our back deck. Great guy. We were actually sad when the team finished up the job!

It went great. Javier and his remodeling team are professional and wonderful. Right after demolition, we decided to make a change, and he was receptive and easy going and made the change. When we needed him, he was there. Always on time and always on budget!!!

It went well. They showed up on time each day, cleaned up at the end for the most part and brought the appopriate materials to work on and with to complete the job. I was going back and forth about a side storm door for another entrance I have into my kitchen. I wound up ordering it myself from home depot. I told Javier and he had no problem picking it up and adding it into the work they were doing. It did not take up anymore time than original estimated # of days and he did not charge me for picking it up. Javier was very patient and talked through a few items I had questions on with the installations. He came by each day and checked on the work his guys did and were doing. For the side storm door I had purchased an off the shelf anderson full view with screen roll up. this door was not as top shelf as my front storm door so it did not have adjustable jams (not sure if that is the right terminology) to make the closure tight. We talked about a couple of things and one of his ideas did the trick for the bottom of the door. Now I can have the solid side door open while my a/c is on and not be too concerned about the air escaping through the storm door. They even touched up the paint on my solid door that wore away from being exposed to the outside without an added cost. Back to the front door since that was the main reason for hiring Buena Vista; since it was so humid the stain was not drying well on the second day (the day they got to staining) so they had to wait to put the top coat on and the hardware. They new it was going to poor that night so they set up a "screen" in front of the installed storm door so I could leave the solid door open and the rain would not come in, and no one could see that that door was opened and only my screen door was a barrier (I did not have them install the glass part of the storm door, I left the screen part in tact for now). They came back on the 3rd day to apply the top coat, since again it was still humid we waited for another day for Javier to come back and install the clavos and strap hinges. This I did not need to be home for since this was only begin done on the outside of the door. I had an issue with the stain on the insides for the door, which I did not notice until a week later. there were 2 spots that looked off form the rest of the door. Javier came by, and apparently finger prints got on these 2 places so one of the workers tried to fix it but it did not blend. Javier came another day and took about an hour and used an application to take off the original top coat and paint and restain it. He then came back another day to put the top coat on and it looks great.

He was very pleasant and courteous. It was about an hour for his visit. He was very knowledgeable.

The contractor did a good job, was timely and efficient. Work was exactly what was described. I think the cost was reasonable for the work that he did. He did not do all that I wanted, because his costing on tiling was high Calling him on follow up, to re-check some issues that came up, it was sometimes a while before he called back.

They were courteous, seemed professional, pointed out new things into consideration about color and stain and they were prompt when they came to check out the job; size them up and everything. He just seemed to be able to do everything. He knew the stain process and seemed to have a better handle from start to finish.

I was given an estimate within one week. I accepted price. Work to start within 3 weeks.

gave him a third of the cost down. He promptly arrived with his crew the next morning and began the work. They covered the doorways to contain the dust in the room they were working in. At the end of the day they cleaned up. Throughout the construction Javier and his crew arrived on time ,were respectful , professional and finished the job within the time frame agreed upon. Javier honored the discount certificate .provided by Angie's list. We would hire them again and would highly recommend Buena Vista Home Imp. to anyone.

They did a very thorough job and we were very pleased with them. They were fantastic. They were fast, came when they said they would. They finished the job when they said it would be finished. They charged us a fair price for the work. They did not leave a mess behind. We have already used them again. I would use them again.

Retiled bathroom walls & floor. Installed new medicine chest. Painted.

Javier responded to our initial request quickly, and gave us an estimate that he honored at the end of the job. He patiently worked out the details of the job with us, and was flexible in accommodating our work schedules. The workers kept the area clean throughout the duration of the job; if we hadn't gone to check on progress, we wouldn't have known that anyone was working in the house. We have already had several compliments on their work. We'll definitely contact Buena Vista next time we need help.

They were polite, friendly, reasonably priced and did excellent work. I was very happy with the way everything turned out.

Estimate was dead on - no surprises. Arrived at 8:15 and worked without breaks. Kept worksite clean and organized. All trash disposed of and minimal disruption.
