I drove 3 hours to one of my property to do site visit with business owner Javier couple weeks ago, he said he would give me estimate soon, it has been 3 weeks, I have sent couple emails to remind him, not a single word reply from him.

They stripped the kitchen, bathroom and back door area down to the wood frames and step by step built it back up. This included all electrical work and plumbing. We had the drop ceilings and florescent lighting replaced with recessed lighting. We put in new light fixtures in the half bathroom and the hallway as well as lighting under the cabinets. We replaced the old plastic tile floors with beautiful ceramic tile. Some of the old/bad wiring had to be corrected and updated. Also some of the old plumbing had to be corrected. These are some of the things you find out when renovating an old house. We are glad that Javier and his team pointed it out to us, so that we could safely correct the problems. We were responsible for these materials: floor tile, backs-plash tiles, hardware for cabinets, the back door, bathroom sink and toilet, kitchen faucet, and picking paint colors. The cherry-wood shaker cabinets, quartz counter top were included in the price. Javier, who is very knowledgeable, gave advice on where to get materials. Overall in the 5 week time frame, they did a great job! Workers showed up everyday and worked consistently until the job was completed. They even worked 2 Saturdays to stay on schedule. Javier and his team were very cooperative. They cleaned up at the end of each work day. I am still amazed when I walk into the kitchen and bathroom. My vision was made into a reality, with the help of the Buena Vista Home Improvement team. We are looking forward to using them on our renovation projects for 2017.

Javier and his team were extremely punctual, professional and efficient, and it was clear he was very knowledgeable! He was very responsive to phone calls and questions, and kept me informed of progress every step of the way. The initial time estimate was 3-4 weeks, and the job was complete in 5 weeks, delayed only due to the plumbing inspector being unavailable for one week. The quality of the work he and his team performed was fantastic, and every evening when I returned home, the house was incredibly clean, almost as if they were never there. I lived through the renovation, and they made it very manageable and almost easy. I was very pleased with the quality of the cabinets, and Javier put beautiful finishing touches, making my previously outdated and ugly kitchen into a beautiful, stylish and storage-laden kitchen. Thanks to Javier and his team, I now have the kitchen of my dreams! I would recommend him highly!

We cannot say enough good things about Javier and Buena Vista. He and his team are so incredibly professional, kind and talented. Specifically, their ability to match new construction with a 100 year old home is incredible. The addition looks as though its always been there, both on the inside and from the exterior. We would recommend him highly to anyone considering a remodel, including modification of existing rooms as well as adding new ones to blend seamlessly with the original home.

Simply put, Javier and team were excellent. We were very impressed by the level of responsiveness, the price and the quality of work done by Buenva Vista. The team came ready every day to push the project through and updated us on progress and/or any issues frequently. Javier also updated us on timelines and met the expected schedule. And he helped us to find great vendors for our materials, which was a huge help. We renovated all three of our bathrooms and the kitchen, as well as sprucing up our garage and cellar areas among other smaller items with Javier. They are a pleasure to work with and very professional people all around. We would highly recommend them for any home remodeling services, and we look forward to connecting with them again on any future projects down the road. Thank you for a great job!!!

They are fantastic. They are clean. They were on time. They were excellent to deal with.

Javier was very responsive. Always returned calls or texts. He was on scene a decent amount to check on progress. His guys were very nice worked hard and cleaned up at night. It definitely took longer than expected but we are definitely partly to blame because we made some changes along the way. I think I learned that you need to double the anticipated time for completion and talking to other people this is very common. The work they did was really top notch and detail oriented. We were very happy with Javier and Buena Vista and would definitely use again.

, From the very beginning of meeting Javier Valencia, when he came and gave us an estimate, he was professional and friendly. He described what he would do and offered ideas as well. When we asked him when could he start, he gave us a date and that was the day he started. Leading up to the construction, Javier went over all plans, helped me to figure out the kitchen and cabinets. From the first day Javier showed up with a group of guys, four guys and some days more when needed, plus the electrician and plumber. Same guys throughout renovation. Javier had the job moving at a great pace throughout the entire process. When it came time to pick out the granite, Javier sent us to this place that had at least 200 different slabs to choose from. Overwhelming at first, but I LOVE the granite we picked. Throughout the whole process, Javier always responded to any text or call. What ever we brought to his attention, he addressed every concern. I really mean EVERY! One. Even after the job was complete, he has sent guys to fix the smallest thing, right away! Came in on budget. We were so pleased with his work that we kept adding things throughout the job. He also knew how to design the room to place the cabinets and island . Javier made my house beautiful. He did an exceptional job. Also was very clean throughout the job and at the end seeded our lawn and power washed our deck because his men worked in these areas. Also whoever works for him was always polite and respectful. His men did an outstanding, beautiful job. They were even nice to my dog who would sit in the middle of the area where they working.I can not say enough about the beautiful job Javier did for us. Already planning to have him do more work for us.

Javier and his men replaced most of the rotted wood trim. Primed and painted it. A few months later it was buckling and peeling. I called Javier several times and he always had an excuse as to why he couldn't come and fix the problem. After a while he stopped answering my calls altogether. I took so long to write this review because I was not a member of Angie's List. Note: Javier asked us to write a recommendation for Angie's List before we realized he was never coming back. We wrote a glowing one. We recommended him to good friends. He did the same thing to them and left them with a worse problem than they had to begin with. We recommended him to a neighbor as well. And after all that, he abandoned us.

I first hired Buena Vista to re-do our master bath shower - including ripping out the old plastic shower/tub surround, fixing the opening, tiling and installing the new plumbing hardware. During the same time I also had our kitchen back splash redone - including removal of the old tiles, replacing them with glass tiles (some in a complicated pattern). From beginning to end it was a pleasure to work with Javier and his crew. The estimate was very fair and there were no surprises with the final bill. The guys did a great job and left our house clean each day. A few months later we had a waterfall in our garage. Again I asked Javier to help - they tore out the old wet drywall and identified the source of the leak. We temporarily patched the leak until the weather improved (this was in the middle of winter), when they could finish the work. Once spring came, they tore out an old deck above the garage, repaired the roof below, installed new gutters to help with water drainage and repaired the rotting rails. I will definitely continue to use Javier for all of our home improvement and repair projects.

Javier is a pleasure to work with. He is knowledgeable and hands on. His team is dedicated and can adjust well to the surprises you have when renovating a 100+ year old space. There was significant permit requirements and Javier helped manage the process well. His subs were quick and courteous. He recommended a great architect that was perfect for our permit needs. The work was completed in a timely manner given the permit headwinds and he was realistic on expectations. He always returned my calls and texts and met with me as needed. There was another family living in the building during renovations and he was conscientious of their needs. He cares about his work every step of the way and the finished product.

The entire process was flawless. I was told exactly what was going to happen when and the crew stayed on schedule. Contractor was always available after hours and weekends to answer questions and discuss how the job was going. All crew members knew their craft and were neat, courteous and helpful. I already recommended Buena Vista to a neighbor.

Javier and the Buena Vista team are very professional. He came by to give us an estimate on renovating both our bathroom and kitchen. Once we agreed to have Buena Vista do both jobs, we set a date. They stripped both the bathroom and kitchen down to the wood frame and built it back up with the tile and fixtures that we picked out. The two week production scheduled was a bit delayed a week, however, it was our fault due to a delay in closing on the house. Overall, team was courteous and neat, cleaning up after each days work was completed. Javier made helpful suggestions with the tile layout , where to place appliances in the kitchen to be more practical and where to purchase the materials. It was a great learning process as well. Now, our beautiful kitchen and bathroom look amazing! My husband and I are very pleased. We are planning on using Buena Vista again in the Spring to renovate our den.

Javier and his team always arrived in time and ready to work. Javier supervised closely and was always available to answer our questions. The team also did great with clean up which was a big deal to me. The team was good with estimated time as well. We have lots of Reno to do in our home and I will call Javier to see if we can work together again.

The two week production schedule was on course with the exception of one day since we had to wait for more tile. The team was courteous and neat, cleaning up after each days work was completed. Javier made helpful suggestions with the tile layout and where to purchase the materials. It was a learning process as well. Now, our dated, light blue tiled, flowered wall paper bathroom has been transformed into a beautiful new bathroom with gorgeous, marble patterned tile, fresh paint, a new door, vanity, tub and toilet. They did an amazing job! We will be using them to do our kitchen in 2016. Just a note: the cost of $7,800 was for the work. There was, of course a cost for materials (tile, grout, accessories, etc.) That cost will depend on what you choose for your project. Our total cost with materials was approximately $13,000, which included: tile for walls and floor, grout, toilet, tub, vanity with mirror and light fixture.

Amazing. I've been dealing with general contractors for 15 years and never dealt with someone who was so responsive and worked within my budget. His crew is great! Hire Javier, you won't be disappointed.

Our master bath looks great. The space was completely transformed in the way that we intended. However, there were multiple issues that occurred with this renovation that were completely avoidable and were followed up with a lack of responsiveness that was really disappointing. In the end, we were forced to have a separate contractor to come in to finish the job. Firstly, the owner of the company is a very nice person. He was enthusiastic to start our project and offered us advice on how to transform the space. Combined with positive reviews, this was the main reason we decided to go with this company. There were a few oversights that happened on the job and even after we were told the job was complete (i) one of the workers cut a water supply pipe in the floor and did not tell the owner (ii) We found one of the sections in the exterior wall was not properly insulated after being assured that the whole wall was in fact insulated (iii) electrical outlet holes were cut too big and needed to be redone (iv) poor painting job (We were told the job was done and had white streaks throughout the room and paint on the edges of the tiles in the shower) (v) grout that was installed shrunk, leaving gaps in the floor and wall. However, the major problem that occurred for us was the lack of responsiveness after we paid for the job and a few issues were found. We noticed that the plumber installed two different fixtures in our sink (1 chrome and 1 brushed nickel). After 3 messages to the owner and assurance that the plumber would come back, nothing happened. A week after this happened, we discovered a leak from both corners of the shower that went down into our garage; on close inspection we noticed there was no grout between the corner tiles. I contacted the owner and received no response. After reaching out again to him again after two days I was told he forgot to call me back and would fix the issue. I waited two more days and still did not hear from him. In the end I had to bring another contractor in to fix the job.

All went great! On time and on budget all work expertly and professionally completed as promised to our complete satisfaction. Will certainly use again. Highly recommend Javier and his company, Buena Vista Home Improvements.

Made an appointment for an estimate on my kitchen/bath reno-- No one showed up or called to apologize or reschedule. Very unprofessional. I left a message and no one returned my call. Luckily I had scheduled 3 other contractors to give me estimates that day so it wasn't a wasted day off work.

Javier is a dream. We bought a new home and had a gazillion things we wanted to do, and he priced it all out for us. When we realized that due to closing costs we could only do half of it, we worried he'd balk at losing the big payday. Not at all. He happily took on the smaller job, and did it on time and at his estimate. He also responded to my prolific texting and emails promptly. The work was very good and Javier even threw in a few things he thought we needed in (and still stuck to his estimate). We've already hired him for more work. He's prompt, honest, trustworthy, and good at what he does. The members of his team I met were also great. Highly recommend.

We cannot recommend this firm highly enough. Right from the start Javier (the boss) inspired confidence with his knowledge and suggestions. He delivered an email estimate and contract outlining all work to be done and the payment schedule. When his crew arrived he was there to supervise the beginning of the job. All painting and repairs were carried out in a professional and expedited manner and the crew covered floors and furnishings with drop cloths, moved furniture around as necessary and vacuumed and cleaned up at the end of each day. They are all very good at their jobs and delightful to work with, always polite and friendly. My wife and I are delighted with the job in every way, and when the crew left today for the last time, we were sorry to see them go. We have had a number of different painters over the years, but non as careful and caring about their work as Javier the painter (not the boss).
