They were very good. They are expensive though. They were fast and efficient. They tidied up after them. The main guy we dealt with was friendly and professional. We were happy with them.

They're very good! I've had a tree fall on my property before so I wanted their professional opinion on our trees. They've proven to be very knowledgeable and helpful any time we've needed them. Chris also did some soil aeration for a particular tree that had compacted soil, which likely saved the tree. He's very helpful in explaining details like that. Their prices are very fair and we'd definitely use them again. They do a great job cleaning up and always call if there are any issues with when he's coming out, too. I'm a very happy customer.

Everything went very well. The person that came to give me the estimate seemed very knowledgeable. I had several companies give estimates on the work that needed to be done, which was trim one tree and cut down a second. This company came in at the lowest bid, so I went with them. Once the date was set for the actual work to be performed they were on time and very professional. I will definitely use this company again if I need to.

Can't wait for the spring, so I can see the flowering plants that will come up.

Initial job was done promptly. Fertilization was also done promptly. Some follow up was needed for trimming, this took a reminder from me to get them back, because they did not return as promised. Overall they were courteous and I would probably use them again. I have used them in the past. My only problem with the service is that they do not always return calls and you generally have to leave more than one message to get a response.

I have been using Almstead for several years. They give free estimates and recommendations in person with very knowledgeable representatives who are long-term employees. They do not oversell treatments and try to meet our needs. Previous providers wanted to spray everything and put a blanket of chemicals on the yard. Almstead treats what is sick and keeps an eye on the rest. They always call the day before the work is done. I wii continue to rely on them.

They did a good job but their attitude wasn't good. They charged $300 to remove a tree which I thought was very reasonable. I got estimates as high as $1800. It wasn't the greatest attitude, I had a dispute with them. When I called Angie's List, then they came back and apologized and they said it was a bad day or whatever and I told them it was fine, cut the tree down and then go home. I don't think I would use them again. Their price is very good considering the estimates I had gotten from others and I had 4 bad estimates previous to them. They did what they knew how to do, they removed the tree, cleaned up behind themselves, and then left. Based on their attitude, their professionalism wasn't great and that was also a part of my dispute.

They were excellent! They came on-time and focused on the job. They worked very carefully and cleanly. They were very hardworking.

The gentleman who gave the quote to remove a large tree was an arborist. He was professional and courteous. We were not pressured to have the work done. In fact, he gave us options to save the tree which were less costly.

I called them one other time and, unfortunate for me, I went with someone else who was a nightmare. I went back to Almstead because I was impressed by Jeff Delaune, the manager. Jeff knew his craft and was very reasonable, fair and true to his word. His men were extremely professional, pleasant, efficient and, what I appreciated most, was their attention to detail and safety. Thank you Almstead for a job well done. person had asked that Almstead call me the day before the work was scheduled so I could remove my car and allow them access to the driveway. I went out not knowing they would perform the work that day. I returned later and was not home more than fifteen minutes when the Almstead crew appeared. I assumed they had been adequately instructed as to what was to be done. After they left, I noticed the ivy was still on the garage, the holly tree had not been pruned, and a foot high stump remained from the Norway Maple. I called, and Mr. Dalton came over. He said the crew would return, and he would be present to supervise the work. When they came back, Mr. Dalton was not there. I asked about this, and I was told he was talking to the men on the phone. I had the impression there had been no written instructions as to what was to be done. After the work was finished, I saw that ivy remained on the garage roof. I asked about this. I was told the roof was too unstable to remove all the ivy. A few days later the roofers came over to re-roof the garage. Three men were on the roof simultaneously taking off old shingles. Packs of new shingles were also put on the roof as they were working. I saw no hesitation from the roofers when walking on the roof. The stump of the tree was cut back to about two inches. I was told stump grinding was not possible because of the space. My concern is that a person could trip and get hurt by the protrusion of the stump.

There were 3 men (I can't remember their names). They arrived on time and worked systematically to remove a very large tree. there were no problems. They left the 4 foot stump on its side, without informing me. So I called Almstead and told them what had happened. Kristen was very nice, and explained that this was usual procedure - that the guys would be back within 1 week to cut up the stump (they came back 4 day later.

Dan Dalton is very obliging in seeing that the customer is satisfied, and I highly recommend his company to anyoneone needing his services.

We have been using Almstead for a number of years. They are ery professional arborist that are very knowledgeable. They come to your propert, educate you about your trees and shrubs and recommend services that would be best. Their prices are a little high so I usually do not contract with them for all the services that they recommend.

Nothing spectacular stands out. They did the job they were supposed to. They did grind out the stump; the machine broke so they had to come back. They did a good job. They did clean-up after themselves.

Aborist arrived as scheduled and provided detailed estimate and advice for future work. Crew performed work as agreed. Price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend Almstead.

They have our money and did not show up to do the job. They rarely answer the phone either. We're concerned now about how we will get over $1,000 back. UPDATE: ALMSTEAD replied that they issued a refund for our $1,100 "right away." Untrue. The refund was issued approximately one month after we had paid for services that Almstead didn't provide. In fact, the deposit was issued only after we informed the Almstead office staff that we had contacted the detective squad at our local police precinct about this theft. After that, they wrote us a check "right away."

I have been using Almstead Tree & Shrub Care for years. I think they are excellent. They have always been reasonable and very clean. They know what they are doing, because several neighbors had commented on them. I will use them again and again and again. I have been using them for four or five years and never found anything wrong with them. I wish that I had many companies that I could use as well as them. I don't even worry about them, I just call them automatically.

They did everything. I have used them more than once. My experience was good. They do more than what I ask. Some of my bushes were dying, they took them out and put in new ones, I never asked them to do that.. They go above and beyond. They know what they are doing. They are professionals and they have the proper equipments. My trees are like 7 to 8 story’s high, they have equipments to up into them and cut and trim them. The price depends on size of the property and I thought the price was expensive. In terms of quality whatever they do, they do very well. My recommendation would be for anybody who has got the bush environment, they need these guys. They are also grass cutters. They work with bushes and trees.

Michael Marks was the arborist for our area who came to give the estimate. It was fair compared to other quotes so we hired them and they scheduled the tree removal within the next couple of days. We didn't even need to be home. The workers came on-time and didn't ask us to even sign anything before they left and didn't leave a mess either. However, after they left we noticed they didn't trim the large front tree back as much as we wanted and did not remove the stumps from a couple trees (which we paid extra for). I have left 3 messages for Mike Marks about a follow-up and he has yet to call or contact me and it has been 3 weeks since the job finished. Very disappointing customer service. Especially when the homeowner does not need to be present, there should be better follow-up on customer satisfaction.

Almstead did not provide the lawn care services we contracted for in a timely manner. When we complained we were basically told that our account was not worth the trouble. We terminated our contract with the company.

They were good. They gave us an estimate and because it was in the late winter we got a little discount so we were very happy. They were pretty good. Our overall experience with them has been excellent.
