AVA Electrical & Lighting Svc

The installation went very smoothly. They were on time. Very neat and professional. Cleaned-up after the job was complete. Door bell works great and I would highly recommend them.

The work was performed professionally and competently. I appreciated the explanations offered as I was concerned about safety. Thankfully work was scheduled quickly. I look forward to working with Lucas and AVA Services in the future.

Before Lucas came to the house-- the lights in and around the house would suddenly go on, and then mysteriously go out. Light switches didn't turn on the appropriate lighting fixtures. The system in the house was outdated and old. Lucas took the time to understand the problem, and then explained it to us. He corrected all of the problems. My wife is very happy now-- and that makes me happy.

Half my electric was out - he changed a panel in my circuit box and all was fixed. They came exactly when they said hhey were going to and they were very professional and pleasant. I can't really speak to the cost as I have never needed this type of service before. I recommend them and I am going to use them again myself.

From the first phone call until the last handshake, I don't think it could've went better. I called on a Friday, and instead of making me wait a few days, Lucas came by first thing Saturday morning to look everything over and give me an estimate. He broke everything down, so there were no "hidden costs", which I appreciated. When it came time to do the job, we set up for an early start on a Saturday. Rich came by earlier and had the panel tagged and taken apart by the time Lucas and his father came by. After that, everything went up very fast. They were able to attach the new weather head to the old mast (per my request), as well as to relocate the meter pan to a more accessible location. Everything was done in a few hours, and incredibly neat and clean. Plus, they were all great guys and easy to get along with. Lucas was especially focused on having everything in perfect order. All in all, I'd have to say I'd definitely use AVA again, and I highly recommend them to anyone who'll listen.

Although replacing a fixture usually is an easy task my replacement was anything but. However they did a beautiful job, going over and above to get the fixture up. They were very upfront about costs. Everything about them was an A+.

I really didn't like their work. They had to come back and fix a problem with the wiring in a socket that they put in. I spent about $600. After it was re-done it went bad again.

They came on time. Called to say they'd be 15 minutes late. Showed me the changes on the new outlet. Gave me a "first time" customer discount. I'd use them again in a minute.

Lucas & Rich arrived on-time for the work, as scheduled. Both were completely professional, helpful, & knowledgeable, & asked me questions to make sure they'd be doing what I wanted. All of their work was done to my satisfaction. When I went to check the work, all the areas were so clean that I wouldn't have known that work had just been done there. It's been three weeks since the work was done, & everything is working properly. Some of the work that I wanted to be done couldn't be done exactly as I had requested, due to Town of Huntington Codes (my house was built in 1955 & a lot has changed since then). All of this was explained to me in advance, so there was nothing unexpected. The prices seemed VERY reasonable to me, & were exactly as stated in the estimate. Both men worked for almost five hours, and they supplied a new circuit piece (for the voltage change), indoor outlets, a closet lamp, & an outdoor GFI outlet, all for $475! That is a real bargain in today's world. I thought that the price was so reasonable, that I felt embarrassed at taking the 10% Angie's Discount that Lucas offered. In addition, they spent a good deal of time examining a non-functioning lamp with wiring run through a Brick Wall (the wiring had been disconnected by patio repair workers). There was no charge for the time they spent checking this situation. I'm completely satisfied with all the work they did, & everything went smoothly. I will be calling them the next time I need electrical work done, & I recommend them to all.

The were quick, efficient, neat, polite, unobtrusive and did all the work correctly and to standards above what was required.

I'm a pretty handy guy and couldn't get my central AC on for the life of me, I was at my wits end. So I finally called knowing it was an electrical issue and not an AC issue as it is fairly new. I called after hours and someone picked up the phone and talked me through getting it on. They didn't have to do this, much less for free. It was nice to know that someone really just wanted to help me with an issue that they could quickly fix over the phone and not try and come out to get a service fee. I will definitely use them in the future for electrical work

Lucas was extremely responsive and knowledgable. He made suggestions on what type of fixtures I should get, he explained the work that needed to be done, and quoted me a very fair price. Lucas and his employee ( totally forgot his name but he did really good work) came right on time the day he said he would, completed the job in one day, cleaned up EVERYTHING after the work was done, and we were very pleased. We have a few more projects in our new home that we will need to get done and we will not hestiate to hire this company again. THANK YOU!!!

The owner is a very good guy. He was very helpful. He is very professional and polite. We are still communicating. He explained everything to me in detail and I am a technical guy so I appreciate that. He was punctual. I would probably use him.

I really, really liked Lucas and his crew. They showed up when they said they would. The work they did was excellent and fairly priced. He always explained everything to me in a way I could understand. A few weeks later, when an outlet wasn't working, Lucas came again at 8:30 pm on a Friday night. It was a PSEG issue but Lucas stayed during the PSEG repair to make sure it was fixed. He's a very trustworthy guy and we will absolutely use Ava Electric and recommend them to our neighbors. There's a good reason why this company has such good Angielslist reviews.

These guys are great. They were prompt, thorough, and honest. They were very polite and kind, they didn't try to take advantage because I was a women, which is refreshing in this industry. They checked everything I needed to check, fixed everything efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. They definitely deserve the A-rating. Thanks, guys!

Lucas came to give us an estimate for replacing all the old wall outlets, which were dingy and painted over with varying wall paints. We counted the number and types that needed to be replaced and a few days later his technician showed up with the required number and types. In short order, all our old outlets were replaced with new and clean ones. We also wanted to replace all the ceiling light fixtures and once we had purchased the replacements, again contacted Lucas and again within a few days his technician came and in short order all the old fixtures were gone and our new ones installed. No problems, fast and efficient

I ultimately wound up not choosing this provider due to timing issues. That being said Lucas and Richie were very courteous, thorough, and patient. They are solid communicators and worth speaking to.

The work went wonderfully. Everything was installed neatly and cleanly. He took the time to explain what he would have to do and was so pleasant to deal with. We liked his work so much that we asked him for estimates on work in other parts of the house. We will definitely be working with him again. Do hire this company for your electrical work!

They're an incredible company. I first got them a year and a half ago. He came no matter what it was we needed. They're a phenomenal company. I tell everyone about them. They're really great guys. They're clean and kind. They're punctual and their charges are reasonable. I like their personality and how they work. It's wonderful. I was very happy with them. I was thrilled. He's there to help us out which meant a lot. He took care of everything.

I had 4 indoor outlets replaced and 1 outdoor outlet replaced. The electrician did a nice job in replacing each outlet and was pleasant to speak with and answer any questions I had. I would hire Ava again.

Rich called me to let me know he'd be a little delayed and then arrived exactly when he said he would. He did a nice, neat job and was truly a pleasure to work with. Thanks to Lucas for honoring the price I thought he quoted me. Very professional thing to do. I would highly recommend AVA.

Everything was done cleanly, professionally. Rich was at my house on time, and was a pleasure to work with. I originally called the company on 3/18/14, and Lucas came over and gave me an estimate within 2 hours. He asked me if 3/19 was okay for the work to be done, and I was happy I didn't have to wait weeks. Also, one of the outside lamps was missing a bracket, and Rich went to the Home Depot to return the lamp and pick up another. He didn't want to charge me for another service call. I really appreciated him going out of the way for me. He certainly didn't have to.

I called at 3pm on Friday afternoon and by 4:30 they were at my house working. They were extremely honest and professional and went the extra mile staying until after 8pm on a Friday night. I couldn't possibly express how wonderful these guys were and how honest I feel they were with me. I think it's very rare to find a company like this these days. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else again, they've made me a customer for life.

Excellent. The electrician, Rich, was great: Punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. Ask for him. The experience was almost hassle free -- no home improvement job is totally painless, but this one was close. Can't ask for more than that.

Rich and Lucas' dad were a pleasure to deal with - they were very professional and came up with great suggestions - will use them again
