Pleasantly surprised by how thorough a job they did and managed to finish it in an hour at an extremely reasonable price.

American Minuteman Sewer & Drain Service Inc. are great. They told me since I was a member of Angie's List they gave me a 20% discount on that. He couldn't fix the problem. He told me I'd have to change the sump pump and he couldn't do it. The guy was extremely personable. Right away, he found out what the problem. He was punctual and found the problem.

They were great, courteous, clean and efficient. The price was reasonable.

Bathtub wouldn't drain, so called plumber. His first thought was that there was rust build up in the pipe, which turned out to be accurate. After no success in snaking from the tub, he ended up drilling a hole in the pipe, and snaking to the outside, removing a lot of rust.

The technician was there before the time window given on the phone. He brought in his equipment and started right away to snake the floor drain in the basement. In a couple of minutes, he said the problem was fixed. All in all, it didn't take him 45 minutes. When he handed me the bill, I found out he charged me more than the price I was given over the phone. He acted surprised and went to his van to call the office, and came back and handed me a new bill without any explanation. When I asked whether there was any warranty on the job he did, he said it's 90 days, but I didn't get anything in writing. I found that a little bit unprofessional, and I must say I was expecting the final rate to be below the initial estimate, especially as it took less than an hour to fix the problem. So I have the feeling that I was overcharged for the kind of service performed. Also, when I handed him the check, he asked see the coupon he had already applied to the bill, so I gave him the one I had printed from Angieslist.com, and he started acting as I was trying to con him or something, so I had to explain to him that I had specifically asked about that on the phone, which is yet another example of his unprofessionalism.

Wonderful--Called at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon, Rafael arrived the next day at 8:45 AM. Despite massive amounts of rust and hair in the pipes, he cleared everything quickly, using about 16' of the industrial snake. He was very personable, very knowledgable, and so very fast at fixing the drainage problems! (And his cologne was pleasant) I will definitely use this company again; cost was extremely reasonable, especially for a Saturday.

Friendly, professional phone service. Workers arrived very quickly after phone call. They were professional and performed the work quickly and cleanly. Amount paid was the same as the estimate. I would definitely use American Minutemen again!

We called American Minutemen at 8:40pm. The representative answered the phone immediately. She called us right back and said a tech would be here in one hour. Their tech Rob D. arrived as promised. He snaked the toilet and the clog was cleared in a few minutes. His work was neat and professional. He also gave us an advise to avoid a clog in the future. It was originally $200 +tax but with Angie's list's coupon we paid $160 +tax.

Excellent! Our downstairs toilet backed up due to a clog. I called Minuteman and they were at our house within 45 minutes (on a Sunday!). Plumber was extremely professional. He explained that he would try a less expensive fix to see if it worked before going to a more complicated process. Luckily the first attempt worked. I have receommended them and would definitely continue to recommend them.

The brush piece of a toilet bowl cleaner was stuck in the drain of my toilet. I found the ad/coupon for American Minutemen in the "Angie's List" coupon book under "honor roll." I called and spoke to a female representative at about 8pm on 11/9/12. I was impressed with the high level of customer service and professionalism I received from just a phone call. This representative tried to get a hold of someone last night, but was unable to so she promptly scheduled the service the next morning. She provided all the information upfront. She stated free estimates were done prior to service and she gave two prices for service. A snake-$125 or a deep drain-$240. She even mentioned the coupon that could be used as well. Jimmy, the plumber, called within the two hour window (8:30-10:30am) to inform me that he was 30 min away. He arrived on time and was able to remove the clog quickly and it was with the snake. I was concerned about toilet water all over the place and dripping from the snake, but it did not happen. It was a clean job. He was professional, polite, and quick with the service. He even took a couple of minutes to explain ways to avoid clogging in the future. For such a simple job, I was more than satisfied with the customer service and services performed. I highly recommend American Minutemen for clogs especially plumbing.

The plumber was very skilled and was able to handle the excessive grease that had built up over many years. Due to the amount of grease it took quite a while to handle this job. In my opinion the plumber should have realized that the grease would get everywhere and put down newspaper or any kind of tarp. Instead, half the kitchen floor was full of grease. When he started cleaning it up, he looked through our cleansers and started spraying the floor with glass cleaner. He didn’t bring his own grease cleaner and he used up all my paper towels. Finally, I just told him to leave because I would have had to pay for another hour had I let him continue. If he had protected the floor he would have been much happier and I would have rated professionalism with an A.

They were very conscientious and thorough. They were very courteous, clean, polite and they did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves very good.

Had an emergency with a backed up main sewer line and significant flooding in my home. I called American Minuteman, based on the Angie's List rating, and was very happy I did so. They promised someone in 90 minutes and had a man there in 45. The plumber who arrived suggested a couple of ways I could cut the costs which I duly appreciated. I also had an Angie's List coupon which they honored without any fuss. The plumber was very professional and extremely courteous. I was also impressed, as their central office called to follow-up immediately after the service was completed to make sure I was happy. Plumbing is never cheap but, based on my needs and the service I received, I'd hire American Minuteman again in a heartbeat.

Good experience overall. Ending up costing more than we expected since it took longer than 1 hour.

The service went well. They solved the problem. They were on time also.

I called American Minuteman to diagnose and fix a drainage problem. Toilet was gurgling and noises were coming from the sink, tub and toilet. The main sewer line was snaked to over 175 feet and the line was cleared. In addition, since I had a slow-draining kitchen sink and overflowing water from my washing machine drainage pipe, it was determined that the line for those items needed to be snaked as well, with a different machine (resulting in a separate charge). I spoke to a live person when I called, who told me someone would come within 2 hours. The response was prompt. The person who performed the work, William, was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and had a good work ethic. He explained everything that he was doing along the way. Overall I was pleased with the company and would recommend them to others. They honored a discount coupon that I had printed out.

I called at 11:30, they made an appointment for 2-4pm. Our technician, WIlfredo, arrived early, at 1:30 (they had called first to ask if that was ok). He snaked the line from two entrance points in an hour (from when he arrived until done!), and had removed roots from inside the line. He knew what he was doing with the snake. Very professional, reasonable price too (the price I indicated is before the tax). Excellent experience, nice technician. I would definitely call them again (though would love to not have an occasion to!).

Prompt, professional, friendly, Raphael arrived and gave me an estimate on what it would cost....Got to work immediately and cleaned by main drain line with the electric rotor snake. Fixed the problem in a half hour. And for over $100.00 less than Roto Rooter. They're my new plumbers!

I had major sewage backup in my downstairs bathroom, American Minuteman was there within 1 hour of my calling. The serviceman listened to what I had tried and what had been done 2 years before, and then went to work with his plumbing snake. Needed my assistance for a bit in turning on and off the water inside, while he worked on the clean out just outside the bathroom. Work was done in a professional yet friendly manner. Causes explained to me, one of which was not to use those 'cleansing wipes' and flush them!! They don't disintegrate, clog the pipes. And I received a Senior Discount, which made me even happier.

WHEN I CALLED THEM, THEY SHOWED UP THE SAME DAY. THEY MET MY NEEDS AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEY WERE DONE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE BEFORE THEY STARTED.
