Description of Work: They had to reschedule my appointment due to illness. These things happen, but I wasn't happy about it. | |Removed old kitchen faucet, replaced turn off valves, and drain pipe, and catch. Installed new faucet, that I purchased. |Removed four bathroom faucets, replaced drain pipes and catches. Installed four new faucets that I had purchased. |Replaced ballcock assembly and gaskets in one toilet. | |The work took a LOT longer than I had anticipated (6.75 hours). He said he discounted the hourly rate for us. There was no breakdown of labor and parts. And, no itemization for the parts he used. I have no reason to dispute anything, but I also don't have much to go on. | |The plumber was very personable and professional, and the work appears to be expertly done. I was just not expecting the work to cost me a grand.

Description of Work: Run exterior gas line from basement to fireplace on addition and leave connection for future patio grill.

Description of Work: New fixtures were installed in the shower and toilets were repaired. There was consistent responsiveness , expertise and support. I would definitely use VS again .

Description of Work: Had Vince evaluate and repair/replace joints and piping in a gas line serving our heating furnaces. There were 2 awkward joints (90 degrees and 45 degrees) in an inaccessible spot. I called Vince because I had been smelling gas near the joints. | |I had a different plumbing company come in to check, but they could not find any leak and did not offer any solutions or ideas. So the problem was not resolved and the gas continued to leak out. The worst part was that the gas had been making its way into my bedroom and was making me ill (brain fog, terrible fatigue). (Gas is lighter than air, and rises.) | |I requested that Vince take apart the pipe and joints and put them back together in the hopes that the leak would be fixed. Vince was incredibly thorough and explained what he discovered at each step of the service. | |He wound up replacing one of the joints that was not threading smoothly, and recut the end of the pipe that had been cut unevenly by an earlier (less attentive) plumber. He also rethreaded one end of the pipe where the threads had not been deep enough to hold the joint tightly. | |By the time Vince left, the gas smell was gone and I was finally able to safely sleep in my own room again (the gas smell and health effects had been so bad that I had relocated to another room to sleep at night). It has been over a week since the service and I have not had even a hint of gas smell in my bedroom. | |Can't thank Vince enough for making my home safe again. Highly, highly recommend.

Description of Work: Vince from VS Plumbing first came to give me an estimate. I had finished off a new shower stall and needed the actual shower and trim installed. At the same time I was having trouble with the bathtub faucet which was leaking a lot. Vince tried to fix it then and there but could not. I needed a new one. Vince tried a stop gap which worked for a bit. I was not charged for any of that. He sent his worker at a time convenient for both of us after I bought the new faucet for the tub. The gentleman came in promptly, fixed all that I needed and answered many questions I had, cheerfully and willingly. I found both Vince and his helper very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, polite. The work was done carefully and neatly. I would definitely call on them again and I would recommend them highly.

Description of Work: I have a new house and the builder never put in a shut off valve for the outside spigot. VS Plumbing installed the shut off valve for me; the outside spigot had broken too so I had no way to shut off the water. They fixed it for me.

Description of Work: I called them saying I'd like an estimate to replace all of my house's pipes with copper pipes, of replacing a water heater with a tankless water heater, and to check my toilet's low pressure when flushed & maybe change a small valve, which I already had, in the piping to the toilet.

Description of Work: I had what I thought was a major emergency when the main shut off valve started to leak on a Sunday afternoon. I called Vince at VS Plumbing and heating and I thought this was going to result in a big unexpected bill and possibly a flodded basement!

Description of Work: Fixed my heat. My steam boiler stopped working. Vince found a fuse that was way inside my boiler had blown.

Description of Work: Sink in kitchen had a horrific leak . Vince came asap to repair but realized it needed a new faucet. He stopped up the leak and came as soon as a new faucet was purchased.

Description of Work: VS Plumbing ran new water lines and installed a sink, reseated my 2 toilets, changed shower fixtures, and reconnected my upstairs sink. During a bathroom rennovation I did last year. The Fixture change on the shower was not simple due to the fact that they had no access other than to have to open up the wall behind my shower to access the pipes to remove the old fixtures. Also they replaced the valve in my toilet that was leaking, Something they noticed when reseating my toilet bowl. I am guesstimating the total amount of the bill as it was last year. But I think it was around that amount.
