Met with Mr. Miller the owner and discussed the project. Outlined what needed to be done. Mr. Miller provided a price along with a description of the work that he would be performed. Work began on schedule. Towards the end of the project i noticed that he had deviated from what had been agreed to. More importantly, upon closer inspection I noticed the quality of the work was well below what a Homeowner would expect from someone who stated that they did quality carpentry work. At the end of the project I pointed out to Mr. Miller what I was not satisfied with. I further stated that his work in some instances did not meet what would be considered acceptable carpentry practices. He said he stood by his work and offered to return and repair what I had pointed out as unacceptable. I declined his offer. I am in the process of correcting the mistakes that have been made myself.

I?m so pleased with the work that Nicholas did on our new deck and sliding glass door. I would recommend him to anyone without reservation. I got a good feeling about him from the beginning, as he keep in touch about the status of the permit and when he would be able to start the job. He arrived early each day and worked tirelessly through to the late afternoon. I couldn?t believe how much he was able to accomplish each day. He is truly a jack-of-all-trades type of carpenter. He was an expert in everything from pouring the cement for our deck to cutting through our house to create an entryway for a sliding glass door. When I asked him if he could make a swinging gate on the top of the stairs to keep my daughter safe, it was absolutely no problem. His attention to detail was remarkable. He was able to put the vinyl siding back on our house so well that you can?t tell it was ever cut through. He truly loves what he does and wants to build a quality structure that will last. In addition to all those things, he was always pleasant and I trusted him at our house when we weren?t home. I will definitely call him first for future projects.

The guy that came out was young and very knowledgeable. He was courteous and timely. I didn't have the funds to followup when I wanted to talk to him.

He called and told me he was going on vacation earlier this morning, I did not appreciate this. He should have told me right away that he was leaving, it didn't make sense that he didn't know this two days ago when he scheduled with me.

We are very satisfied with their work. We have to wait for them to do our kitchen because of my schedule and they need to order the cabinets as well. They are the only ones that we hired to do the deck. We were comfortable with the way they spoke and gave us the estimate. They were reasonably priced unlike some people who are way too high. We were comfortable with his price so we chose him. They were good and we have no comments. We were not worried and comparatively they have done a very good job. We have not compared their prices with others but we feel their prices were very good. The deck seems to be fine to us. They showed up earlier and we liked it. They were very neat.

The experience was excellent. He was a great guy to work with. He was straightforward and easy to talk to. I knew where I stood. He explained problems well. The price was very good. There were a couple of finishing things he didn’t do.

I found him on Angie's List. The owner's name is Nicholas Miller. He did a beautiful job on the cabinets. He also painted, but I would have liked a better paint job.

He is courteous and very nice. He is also prompt and very business like.

The man is honest and did not over charge. He said that he would be at my house at 4 pm, and showed up 5 minutes to 4 pm.

I have been very pleased with his work. He will go with the flow. He is very reasonable and on time.

Nick of Old World Carpentry came over and told us about his procedure, that his clients choose the material and he does the work. We told him our budget and suggested IKEA as affordable and with contemporary designs. He had an honest way about him and the estimate was clear with each steps and labor cost outlined. We told him our ideas and he said that he could do it, everything from moving a radiator so we could get a semi-island and leveling out the floor that had settled and was leaning. The result is great and the kitchen has a much improved layout now. We have yet to complete the remodeling ourselves, to explain the unfinished look of the kitchen in the photo. Nick finds custom solutions for your kitchen. The semi-island in butcher block was above our expectations since he made it larger than we thought, and sculpted the wood to go around the radiator after he moved it. In addition to what we signed a contract for, he found someone to do things that he saw that we needed help with, such as replacing three steps on the front of our house that were broken. To begin with he gave us the number to a mason, but when we couldn't reach him Nick simply took the matter in his own hands, went and got the stones and it was fixed in a day. We recommend working with Old World Carpentry and wouldn't hesitate to call him next time we need a project done.

Nicholas is great to work with. He is responsive, honest, opinionated (in a good way).
