Nick was a pleasure to have in the house. He worked quickly, cheerfully, and cleaned up the area when he was done. I am happy with the results, and will definitely call them for future electrical work.

Electrical work held up other work that was going on in house at the same time. it was as if Electrian was intensionally making mistakes to benefit him finacially

This request was for my elderly Aunts house. These guys called on a Sunday night and advised me to check with LIPA, just in case it was an external problem. This way they wouldn't charge me for not doing any work. How's that for honesty? Followed up with a phone call the next morning and sent a guy over to do the work. These guys are Rock Stars. Highly recommended!

It was good that he did the extra work. He had brought up some other things, and he said he could do it if I wanted and he did. He was really nice. I thought the prices could have been a little lower, but he was very good. He had everything with him. I was having trouble with my oven, and I thought it was electrical. He did look at it, but said he couldn’t do that. It had to be an appliance guy who could do that. I thought it was good that he looked at it anyway.

He was very polite. He was a very nice guy. He cleaned up after himself. His price was reasonable and we were fine with it. He came in immediately when we called him. I would use them in the future.

I have an old house - 1935, and my insurance company required me to upgrade my electrical system from fuses to circuirt breakers. I received three quotes from highly rated Angies list contractors. All three were prompt and courteous but John Ilberg of Ilberg Associates provided the most detailed quote and explanation of the work that would be required. He gave me three options - from the least expensive to the most comprehensive. He explained the pros and cons of each option without any sales pitch. That night he emailed me copies of the three options so I could review them. We agreed on one of the options (upgrade from 100 to 200 amp service) , signed a contract and set a date. He showed up on time with Nick and performed the work exactly as stipulated. He had me try all the switches and outlets in the house and in the detached garage. Everything worked and he said to call immediately if I found a problem. They left the area as clean as when they started. I selected Ilberg Associates because of John's professionalism and price - both of which are important. I am very satisfied and highly recommend them.

We were in the middle of the heat wave in July with the temperature close to 100 degrees. It was 12:30 in the morning when the electric went off in the upstairs bedrooms which had A/C in both. We took a chance and called Ilberg Elec. being we saw they had 24 hour service. John said he would come at that time, but it would cost a alot more than if he could come at 8 am. (AND on a Saturday!) if we would be able to camp out in the den which had A/C until the morning. He was right on time, friendly and fast. I thought for sure it would be quite a bit of money being it was a weekend and temps were already up in high 80s when he came. No!! He was so fair in his price. I'm having him come back to do more work in my home being I can trust his word and know he won't try to take advantage of us. He told us right up front that if we could wait 8 hours, it would cost a lot less money. What a great guy. I'm so happy I have Angie's List and found an honest and dependable electrician. We were pleased from start to finish with the installation of the electrical work and lighting for our new kitchen. We were very satified with the quality of the work and how beautiful the in-cabinet and under-cabinet task lighting turned out. John & his co-worker Nick treated us in a friendly, courteous yet professional manner. They addressed all our questions and concerns and used their expertise to solve any problems that arose. The ceiling fan was difficult to install because there was a drop ceiling ( sheet rock) and no crawl space . Somehow Nick figured it out , so that I didnt have to have a large hole cut to get to the old box, which was off center and 8 inches further up .( this saved me the hassle of patching a piece of wallboard, spackle and paint ). I was very impressed with the quality of work and enjoyed talking with Nick and John. I will be calling them again soon

All went well. John, the principal, installed the breaker panel on one visit and he & Nick the electrician finished the installation on the second visit. They were punctual, professional and courteous from start to finish, including clean-up. This was the second time I've used them and would seriously consider doing so again.

Ilberg is really good. Their price for the work done was really good, compared to other estimates we got. They were very professional and cleaned up well. We have carpet upstairs and they laid down work mats and cleaned up well when they were finished.

The first visit was around $400 or $500 but the second time was much less. I like that he was cordial but professional at the same time. He is patient and willing to hear what the customer has to say.

John and Nick did an excellent job, and I would definitely recommend them. They were prompt, professional, courteous, and cheerful. After looking at the job to be done and taking very careful measurements, John emailed me a detailed proposal the next day, even though it was a weekend. He answered any questions I had clearly and patiently. I had gotten several estimates for this job, and proposals for what work would be necessary varied. While other estimates might have been lower, John's solution was the most appropriate to my situation. They even caulked an area on the house adjacent to the work that they'd done, so they left the place looking better than they'd found it. I felt that I definitely got my money's worth.

John did a great Job. I have a busy schedule so John worked with me with the time he could do the work. John and his helper showed up on time, were courtious, and did a neat job. They even cleaned up after they were done. I would definitly call them again and recommend them to my friends.

John Ilberg and Nick are a pleasure to work with. Mr. Ilberg is very experienced and also practical. He takes into account safety, aesthetics AND finances. This is the second time we have worked with him and we will be calling on him for future projects. He and Nick make a good team.

I had lights that were no longer working, both inside and outside of my home. Ilberg's emailed me promptly after receiving my email from Angie's List, even though it was a weekend. We had a quick chat on the phone so they had more details, set a time and Nick showed up on time as promised. He fixed everything as agreed and checked in with me often. There was a major problem with the exterior lights and he resolved it quickly and as promised. Nick also repaired the wiring to my pool pump that my landscaper accidentally damaged, along with my internal lights that needed fixing up. The pricing was fair and as agreed upon on our phone call. There were no surprises. I felt like I had been treated fairly, with respect and never felt like I was being taken advantage of. These are good guys, polite and hardworking. I would not hesitate to recommend them and I intend to use them anytime I require an electrician from now on.
