Description of Work: I purchase firewood from them and I have had them trim our trees. They are very pleasant to deal with and the firewood is by far the best I have found from various sources. I have used them exclusively now for 4 years.

I thought it was a fair price for the job they had to do, It was a big job, they used 4 or 5 guys, it took something like 9 hours and they cleaned up very nicely. I would recommend them.

+ -1 moreI called them to provide a free estimate. I hired them after comparing different estimates. The work had to be rescheduled several times due to excessive rain. But they showed up on a Sunday and performed the work satisfactorily.
Description of Work: removed one big and one small trees in the backyard and chopped the trunks into 16 inch firewood

Description of Work: I have used hickory homes for both my snow removal and an excavation project. They have done an incredible job on both and I would definitely hire them again in the future. Mike, the owner, really takes pride in every job and gives you the personal attention that you like. His crews are always on-time, courteous and extremely professional - all this while doing an amazing job. Definitely call these guys.

Description of Work: Hickory Homes provided tree services following a brutal late winter storm in 2010. This included multiple take-downs, clean up of debris, pruning and chipping. They used two crews and trucks, and were incredibly productive, actually cutting a day off of the original estimate of 3 days.

+ 0 moreWhen our dog was able to fully enter the base of our tree we realized it was time for the tree to come down. Hickory Homes' estimate was about the same as the others but he was prompt, courteous and informative during the evaluation process. The work was scheduled for the following week and the workers showed up as arranged. Tree was over 40' and several feet in diameter. They took off the top, cut up the smaller branches, then cut up the top half of the trunk into 18' lengths for us to chop into firewood later on. The lower half of the trunk was also cut into smaller lengths. All wood was neatly stacked. Happy with the work.
Description of Work: The service entailed cutting down a large dead tree, cutting into 1.5' lengths, and stacking into piles.
