MAD HATTER CHIMNEY SWEEP

He wasn't here that long because my chimney was not all that bad so he didn't really have to do much. He was very prompt and the chimney was very clean. He also vacuumed out the fireplace. He did a pretty decent job. He went on the roof and inspected it. He was good and I have no complaints.

He was excellent. He was very lean and extremely courteous. I'm definitely going to use him again.

Appointment was made easily. Serviceman arrived promptly. Work was completed efficiently in a short amount of time. any debris was cleaned up. Serviceman was polite and accommodating.

Outstanding service - punctual in both returning call and in coming to clean leaves out of gutter. Very neat and tidy - all debris was blown away leaving the porches etc. clean again! Very reasonable in price - I have a raised ranch so gutters are quite high up. Impossible for me to do. I am also on his customer list which means I don't have to call every year - they will just come every november which makes it so much easier.

This is the second time we have used Mad Hatter, but had not used them in some years (and at a previous residence). Our initial phone call was returned very promptly, he was definitely at the right price point. Was late, but called to let us know he was running late...worked meticulously, quickly and efficiently. Did not try to sell other services, and though our chimney's had not been cleaned in 4 years, told us they were not bad, and that we didn't need to clean every year...very positive experience. Put him on our personal "service provider" list...

Arrived two hours late but called before the appointment time and explained the unexpected delay. Work was done neatly and completely. I would certainly use their service again. One small complaint: the fireplace damper was broken (missing pins and slightly warped) prior to service. I had hoped they would be able to repair it along with the chimney cleaning service but they were unable to do any repair-type work. (I later found a handyman to repair it for less than $30.) Admittedly, completing the small repair would have been "above and beyond" but I was surprised they were unable to do it even when offered payment for that additional serivce.

After having some smoke overflow into our house & realizing our chimney flue was not opening fully, we scheduled an appt. with Mad Hatter to inspect it & clean the chimney while here. We got an appointment within a few days and the work was done quickly & cleanly. The experience was very pleasant.

Mad Hatter was great. The most prompt service I have ever had - he said he would be at my house at noon and 12:00 on the dot he was there. We had two very dirty fireplace flues cleaned and the work was completed quickly and neatly. Given the amount of usage he said we didn't need to have the flues cleaned for 3-4 years. Other companies insisted it had to be done every year.

Great. The appointment was easy to make, they showed up on time, did the work agreed and charged us the quoted price.

Set up an appointment to have my fireplace chimney cleaned and checked. Needed about a month lead time before it could be scheduled due to the season and the demand for them to do the work. Needed a date when a man would be in this area. No big deal. It wasn't an emergency, just work that needed to be done.

Mad Hatter Chimney Sweep does an excellent job. He got on the roof and checked everything over very thoroughly. His prices are very reasonable and he is a very professional and courteous person. I would highly recommend this contractor.

I have been using this company for thirteen years. They did the work professionally and I could not be happier with their courteous crew. Their prices are fair. I would recommend them to everybody.

He was great. We've had chimney cleaners before that were horrible. One tried to tell us the chimney was falling down and needed major work. Another one actually put his foot through the roof and didn't bother to tell us. We had major water damage from that. So, we were a little concerned about having to have another experience with a chimney sweep. That's when I remembered Angie's List. The Mad Hatter was terrific. Did only the work that was needed and taught us how to close the flue properly. Did not try to sell us anything we did not need.

This is a family-run business. The owner's wife answers the phone and the owner performs the work with a helper. They are very nice, pleasant people to work with. Overall, their service was prompt, professional and courteous. I highly recommend this company as it is head and shoulders above the others I have used over the past 3 years for gutter cleaning.

The service was prompt and they didn't leave any mess. Also hired them to come back to clean the gutters and remove an old antenna from an unused chimney, which they did. We have a very steep roof but they did the job quickly and completely. Even tidied up the lawn with the leaf blower when they were done.

One of the questions is would I hire this company again. I would shop around more. I feel the price was a little high due to the amount of time that was spent on the job. He was at my house less than a hour. 325.00 an hour i'll take a job.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. HE WAS COURTEOUS AND NICE. HE JUST DID HIS JOB, AND HE LEFT. HE DIDN'T MAKE A MESS OR ANYTHING. HE KEPT EVERYTHING FROM GETTING ALL OVER. HE WAS ONLY HERE FOR A LITTLE WHILE. I HAD A FEW QUESTIONS, AND HE ANSWERED THEM FOR ME.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN. HE CAME IN AND DID THE JOB WITH NO FUSS AND NO MESS. HE DID THE WORK AND DIDN'T CHARGE ANYTHING EXTRA FOR DOING IT. IT WAS EXCELLENT.

WE HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS. THEY ARE REALLY GOOD. WE HAVE JUST BEEN SATISFIED WITH WHATEVER THEY DID. THEIR WORK IS GOOD. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS. THEY CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES. WE CALL THEM, AND THEY COME AND DO IT.

THEY DID NOT INSTALL THE DAMPER PROMPTLY. I DID NOT WANT TO BE A BOTHER WITH IT. IT IS A DIRTY JOB, AND THEY WERE ABLE TO NOT GET ANY SOOT ALL OVER THE CHAIRS OR THE SOFA.

THEY WERE GOOD AND THAT'S WHAT I KEEP HIRING THEM BACK. WHAT I LIKE IS THAT THEY DON'T TRY TO SELL YOU SOMETHING EXTRA. THEY'D SAY YOU COULD SKIP NEXT YEAR IF IT WASN'T ALL THAT DIRTY. I LIKE HONESTY. OTHERS WOULD TRY TO TELL ME THAT I NEED THIS, I NEED A NEW CAP, AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

WE USE THEM REGULARLY EVERY YEAR. WE'RE SATISFIED BECAUSE THEY DO A GOOD JOB. IT'S JUST ONE FELLOW WHO COMES AND HE DOES A GOOD JOB. WE HAVE A WOOD BURNING STOVE SO HE IS VERY CAREFUL AND CLEAN AND THOROUGH.

IT WAS MY ONLY TIME EVER USING THEM AND I THOUGHT THE SERVICE PREFORMED WAS JUST FINE. THEIR RESPONSIVENESS WAS FINE. THEY CALLED ME BACK, AND WE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT.

THEY CHARGED A LOT MORE THAN THEY SAID THEY WOULD CHARGE TO CLEAN THE CHIMNEY AND THEY CUT DOWN MY OLD SATELLITE FOR ME AND THEN LEFT IT LAYING IN THE YARD. I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM, THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND I'M VERY DISSATISFIED.
