Description of Work: I ran out of oil in this brutal winter. The company I was using lacked compassion and said they would be there in 72 hours. I was not happy. I called Wallace and they had 20 gallons delivered the next morning and then came the very next day to fill me up. The woman on the phone was kind and compassionate. I'm impressed!

Description of Work: Some examples of why I severed relationship with Wallace: |About 8 yrs ago Wallace installed a new boiler, re-plumbed the system, and moved our oil tank. Over the years several installation deficiencies had to be corrected at my expense. The last deficiency was uncovered when I had new tanks installed and the plumber found the pipes to the existing tanks were barely screwed together - that could have caused a big oil spill in our garage. Last year the low water cut-off failed for the second time with the 2nd failure due to inadequate repair after the 1st failure. My calls to Wallace for service often included details that were not relayed to the service tech thereby requiring 2 service calls at extra cost for me. I had setup automatic credit card charge for oil delivery but this last winter my wife thought a receipt for payment was an invoice requesting payment so she sent a check thus paying twice. Wallace cashed the check and said nothing until I caught it; it took weeks to get a refund. When we changed home insurance carrier the new company sent an inspector who was bothered by the fact that Wallace did not post a label on the system indicating that it had been serviced - I don't know if that affected our insurance rate, but it could have. |However, not everything Wallace did was deficient but the accumulating problems led me to drop them for both oil delivery and service.
