Description of Work: After a bad winter I noticed that my mature adult Japanese Maple was starting to look bad. I called the company and they sent a representative that suggested a series of ArborKelp treatments that would save the tree. After performing a series of these treatments, the tree continued to look even worse. I called the company and asked if they would send another representative over to apprise the condition of the tree. They never did. But they did however kept calling me suggesting even more treatments even after the tree died. I do not blame them for the death of this beautiful tree, but I question their practices as I did not ever see nor hear from a qualified representative after I paid them. The service people that showed up to do the treatments were merely laborers as based on my conversations with them. I would not recommend their services...!

Description of Work: I had a red Japanese maple tree which needed pruning. Their representative named Mark was very punctual and polite. He explained exactly what would be done and set up the date within a week. He and his workers arrived promptly on the day of the work and I was very pleased with the results. They cleaned up after themselves and took all debris away. I did feel that the price was a little high but I'm satisfied with the job.

Description of Work: I have a large oak tree very close to my house, with a lot of branches hanging over it. Michael from SavATree came over and suggested that we prune out a percentage of the branches to reduce the weight without compromising the integrity of the tree. He also suggested we take off some dead branches from another large oak. | |Michael and his team came back to do the work, and worked cleanly and efficiently. | |I am a new homeowner, and did not have a lot of extra money to spend on this, but used an Angie's list coupon to bring down the price.

Description of Work: I sought 4 estimates for the removal of a tree. Three estimates came in between $870 and $900. Sav-A-Tree came in at $1,335. Apart from price, there were other differences (and some confusion) in all 4 estimates (concerning chipping of debris, removal of the chips and removal of the wood cut). But excluding this, nothing in Sav-A-Tree's estimate justifies the huge difference in price. Even taking into account a savings of $200 with the current Big Deal (pay $199 for a coupon worth $400 of work), the price would still be $1,154 ($1,355 - $400 + $199, the cost of the Big Deal) - about $250 more than all of the other estimates.

Description of Work: Cut down tree remove all wood , dug up roots to about 7 inches. Did not harm grass around tree . Did work ahead of schedule as they had a cancellation of someone else and moved me up to fill the spot. Everything was as better than I expected.
