It's disappointing to read a review about my company that is not a positive one. However, I value the feedback when it's valid because it allows me to affect change for the benefit of my clients. This is the reason we invest in the Angie’s list service. In this case, I do not find the feedback completely valuable and I'll share why. A client called my office and wanted to meet with me to discuss the process of converting his home from oil to gas. My office personnel scheduled the appointment with the client and as per our commitment to our clients I arrived on time at 11 am on the agreed upon date of October 8, 2015. When the client answered the door he joked that we were the only plumbing company so far that had actually showed up to his house. I spent approximately 30 minutes with the client walking through the home, discussing system options, providing recommendations and answering all questions. I then followed up on Saturday morning October 10, 2015 by emailing a detailed proposal listing all process steps and our straightforward price to complete the job. In this case, the client decided to go with another company and that's OK. However, I don't appreciate two months later receiving a C overall and an F for price. I do appreciate that at least he recognized our professionalism and punctuality with a B (although I arrived on time and was courteous and professional.) As for responsiveness, I can only imagine that the C is for the client not receiving the estimate on Friday October 9th. I do aim to send a proposal within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment however in this case it was 48 hours. But the F for price and C overall seems a bit harsh and it out of sync with other client reviews.

Description of Work: Very punctual and professional. They explained the problem thoroughly and provided the least expensive way of resolving it. They also cleaned up and discarded any debris. I would definitely call them for my next plumbing issue.

We’re very disappointed to hear that [Removed Member Name] was not satisfied with the services we provided on June 1, 2015. I did call [Removed Member Name] as soon as I read the review yesterday to try and understand why she selected each rating. I have yet to connect with her. That being said, our aspiration for over 105 years has always been to exceed client expectations. This is an unusual review that does not align with our typical client experience or the verbal and written feedback we receive on the Senior Technician that was dispatched to the call that day. We hope to learn as much as we can when we speak with [Removed Member Name]. On June 1, 2015 we dispatched a Senior Technician to [Removed Member Name]’s home to install an owner supplied cartridge for a Delta faucet. As per our process, the technician provided the client with a straightforward price to install the cartridge. [Removed Member Name] signed our invoice stating that she authorized the price and at that point we proceeded with the repair. When our technician attempted to replace the owner supplied cartridge it did not fit. The client’s cartridge was for a newer style Delta faucet which was not the style she had in her home. Our technician offered the client two options, she could purchase the correct cartridge on her own and then call us back to complete the installation. Or, seeing that we carried Delta faucet parts on our trucks we could furnish and install the part during this same visit. The client chose to have Charles Krull & Son furnish and install the part and again, as per our process, the technician communicated the straightforward price to furnish and install a cartridge, the client re-signed and authorized the updated price and we completed the installation. While at the home [Removed Member Name] also authorized our technician to replace hot and cold angle shut-off valves under the kitchen sink which were not working. [Removed Member Name] was aware of the price prior to the repair and authorized the price. At the end of the service visit we provided [Removed Member Name] with a 10% Angie’s list discount, she signed our invoice and confirmed in writing that the work was completed to her satisfaction. There were multiple opportunities for [Removed Member Name] to provide feedback during the service and repair call. [Removed Member Name] did not have to proceed with any of the repairs if he was uncomfortable with the price. We always put the client in the driver’s seat. We diagnose a situation, we offer options to repair and we communicate a price prior to completing any work. A client can either say “yes” or “no.” If [Removed Member Name] had contacted the office to communicate that she had an issue or was concerned with our process we would have absolutely listened to her concerns and addressed them. We hope to have the opportunity to do that.
