The job was done very well and according to plan. Tom let us know every day what to expect the next day, he was very receptive to our needs regarding last minute details and changes. He took the initiative to make corrections as he saw fit. We would strongly recommend him and would use him again.

I first got 2 estimates back in the spring of 2012. Tom Morelli's estimate was more reasonable than the other one and his company had good reviews on Angie's List. However, before the driveway could be paved I had to have the sidewalk replaced, which was in bad condition. This took some time to be done as it was the responsibility of the city of Glen Cove so had to wait several months til a public works crew was available to do the job. I then had to wait for Suburban Asphalt to be able to fit me back into their schedule so the job was not started til late October. Just a few days after the first step of the job was completed Long Island was slammed with Hurricane Sandy so that meant more waiting for the asphalt to be poured, which was done right before Thanksgiving. But none of those events were the fault of Suburban. Tom Morelli and his crew did an excellent job, were very professional and cleaned up everything. The driveway looks great and I'm very happy with it. I highly recommend Tom and Suburban Asphalt.

I had read great reviews for Suburban Asphalt on Angie's List and reached out to them based on those reviews. The positive reviews were right on target - Tom Morelli responded quickly to my call, came over and gave a competitive price. I hired him for the job and it was done quickly and professionally. I will need to do a complete driveway job in the future and will look no further than Tom and his team when it's time to start that job.

The job went very well. The crew arrived on the morning of October 8th. They were right on time. First the removal and rip out of old driveway. Then leveling out, and marking out of the cobblestone to be laid. They were there every day cementing in the cobblestone, and laying the pavers and laying down the RCA. It took the them 4 days to get everything set up for the backtop. After that I could drive on the RCA base for few weeks. Then Tom and his team came back on November 5th, and put down the blacktop. It looks great!

We had a wonderful experience working with Tom and the crew of Suburban Asphalt. The were extremely professional and courteous. Tom answered all my many questions in a timely fashion. My neighbors even made a point to tell us they didn't know they were there because they were so quiet. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves every day. We would highly recommend them!

Needed a concrete walkway installed on the side of my house and two slabs of sunken concrete replaced in the front. Got a few estimates from pennysaver types. Then came here and found Suburban Asphalt Concrete. Left a message asking for an estimate. Tom got back to me the same night. He was at my home within a day or two. He is a very personable and easy going guy and gave me an estimate on the spot. I had gotten cheaper prices and also some which were much more. Tom seemed like a no nonsense guy and his reviews on Angie's are very good so he got the job. Job was done yesterday 8/24/12. Tom called two days in advance and said he would be here between 9 and 10. His trucks arrived at 8:45 and work began immediately. His crew ( which includes his two sons ) are not home center parking lot pick up guys. They are his regular guys and work with him all the time. All wore shirts with the company logo. All were friendly and very professional. They had the two areas prepared and framed out in no time and if they didn't have to wait so long for the cement truck the job would have been done in record time. After the cement was poured the finish work was carefully done and the whole job was cleaned up by early afternoon. Tom was on site for the entire job. The walkway came out great. Nicely pitched and finished. This is everything you could ask for in a contractor. A friendly, family run business that is operated with professionalism and pride. Tom gave me an estimate for my driveway as well. I won't even bother with another. Come springtime the job is his. Thank you Tom Morelli and the crew from Suburban !!

Tom Morelli, his son and all of his employees are a virtual paradigm for all that one would seek in a mason contractor. He was punctual to all his appointments and the start date. He helped guide me, but did not push me into chosing the pavers and stone we wanted. His price was exactly what he said it would be and was very reasonable when I added items. If you are hesitating on hiring this company and are serious about excellent work for a good price, then stop your hesitation. Tom also assisted me with my village in obtaining permits. Furthermore, even after Tom was paid and the job was finished, he spoke with my village to address some concerns they had. Suburban submitted required insurance certificates to our village, and was issued work permit. Once job started it took two days to complete, and a subsequent touch up was preformed at a later date. They were responsive to my needs, and follow up was as promised. Good people to work with.

I contacted Tom about replacing my concrete driveway and redoing about 50 ft. of sidewalk which was elevated due to some large tree roots growing underneath. Tom said no problem and we scheduled a date soon after I got the permit for the work. Tom arrived on time and with a crew that included his sons. Everyone was extremely polite, had a positive attitude, and worked very hard. Overall I am very pleased with the work and the end result was better than I could have hoped for...it was EXCELLENT! I definitely recommend Suburban Asphalt to anyone looking for concrete or masonry work.

It was a good experience, professional did the job and did it well.

I needed to renovate an old house which I had purchased recently. I hired Tom, and his sons Jason & TJ, to dig up my entire front yard, level it, and install paving stones. Secondly, they restored my leaky old porch and stairs to a thing of beauty by surrounding it with unique stone work. Finally, they repaired the deteriorated stucco on the sides of my house in such a way that it looks better than the original stucco work. The job was perfect from beginning to end! Tom, his sons, and crew are one of a kind and second to none. They work hard and are extremely respectful to their customers and each other. The work which they have done for me has left the neighbors in awe of what can be accomplished in such a short amount of time with hard work and the experience of professional masons. The work that Suburban Asphalt does is not just beautiful but it is solid and durable as well. If you hire them you will be pleased for sure.

Once they came they were very efficient, neat and professional. The driveway looks great. I did e-mail Tom a question and he got back to me immediately. We are pleased with the results.

Tom did a great job on our front stoop and landing area. Our stoop was falling apart. He came by and did a quick estimate. I picked out the type of stone and brick we wanted, then he came and had the work done in 2 days. His team worked diligently and were neat. I didn't even know they were there. I would highly recommend Suburban Asphalt and definitely use them again for future work.

Tom was very punctual and very nice. His price was good and I had to take notes. The price was good. Showed up when he said he was.

Tom responded promptly and got the sinkholes filled with gravel, which then needed time to settle. The patch job was ultimately very nicely done at a very reasonable price.

Everything went fine except for delays due to rainy weather.

Highly satisfied and couldn't be more pleased. My sidewalk needed to be repaired after the Town of Hempstead removed the tree that was in front of my house. It's roots had uplifted the walk causing a tripping hazard. The town gave me notice about being responsible for fixing the damags. They also warned me that if the job was not completed within one month they woud send someone to do it but still, the cost would remain my responsibility. I found Tom on Angie's list and am grateful for the work he has done. It was right around the time of my son's wedding, between wedding plans, family flying in and work, I wanted nothing more than to get this headache overwith. I immediately contacted Tom and requested to have it done as soon as possible. He came, gave me an estimate and before I knew it, the work was done the followng week. Everything was taken care of by phone which was highly convienent with my busy schedule. He was reliable, true to his word and most of all accomodating. There were no hidden fees and best of all NO HASSEL. I highly recommend Tom.

The Home Insurance Company of my father-in-law, threatened to cancel the policy if the drive way will not be repaired. They gave us 3 weeks to take care of it. We hired Tom of Suburban Asphalt before for mason work at our house. Since we were so pleased with his work, I called him again, described the situation and Tom, who is very busy, agreed immediately to help. He came for an estimate as soon as he could. He gladly submitted a written estimate to satisfy the insurance company demand. However, my father-in-law wanted to use the opportunity to repair the walk way to the house and Tom, patiently, submitted yet another estimate and within 4 days, proceeded to complete the work for our complete satisfaction. Tom and his staff are true professionals; they work cleanly and with attention to details.

Was promptly given an estimate and told the job could be completed within six weeks. I signed a contract and was told that they would be in touch within a few weeks to get a deposit. I was never contacted by the contractor after that.

Tom promptly responded to our estimate request. We recieved estimates from multiple companies. Since all prices where within 5% of each other we decided to go with the person that made us feel the most comfortable. We signed a contract with Tom and he gave us a start date. Unfortunately it was raining for weeks so the date had to be pushed back. I called Tom to ask if he could at least complete the back yard first since we had a BBQ date set up already. Not only was he able to accomodate us but the work looks great. He returned a couple weeks later to finish the work. His workers are very proffesional and Tom is reguarly on site checking up on the work. It was a pleasure working with him. I have already recommended his company to several friends and neighbors.

Everything went extremely well. Tom, his sons, and crew were all hardworking, polite, and punctual. Tom did exactly what he said he was going to do and was very accommodating when some extra things arose. I could not have made a better choice for a contractor. Every single person says that the work he did is beautiful and they thank me for making the neighborhood more beautiful too. In addition, he showed up with a full crew on the Saturday of the July 4th weekend in order to finish the entire job. Unbelievable!

We had an homeowner's insurance issue with a retired relative's home on Long Island - parts of the front sidewalk were a serious tripping hazard and the insurance company only gave us a week to fix it. Tom Morelli showed up right on time to give us a quote, and the sidewalk replacement was finished within three days. Outstanding price and performance, as their nearest competitor wanted almost 50% more for the same repair. A great company, and we would use them again for any other masonry work.
