 + 2 moreI highly recommend Suburban Asphalt Concrete Company! Tom, his son Jason and the whole crew were fantastic. They were very professional, always arriving when they said they were going to, did a spectacular job and left things tidy when they were finished. Everyone keeps telling me how great everything looks. One last thing. There was one small section of the driveway that had a slight indentation after the concrete had dried. Tom came back a couple of days later and completely redid that section for me free of charge. This guy has been doing driveways forever and takes pride in his work! I highly recommend!!
Description of Work: I needed my old concrete driveway removed and replaced. I also needed a 6 foot dry well installed for drainage and a stone border around the driveway. Lastly I needed my walkway repointed and broken blue stone replaced on my patio. This was a pretty big job.

Work was completed beautifully and the worksite was left completely cleaned up and looking great. Tom and his crew worked extremely hard and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

 + 0 moreWe were very pleased from the very beginning. This was the 3rd contractor we had contacted, and Tom , the owner, came right away to give the estimate. It was a very reasonable price, he gave us the 5% Angie's list discount,and he wrote it up right away for us after we decided on hiring him. We really liked that he was local and had been in business for 40 years. His relaxed and happy personality was a great asset. My husband was especially pleased with the time Tom took to explain the issues of pitch & drainage, and then executed every part of the project with precision and detailed craftsmanship. The crew , including his son, were very competent & skilled,on time, and happy as well. Tom and his crew were always ready to answer questions and modify what we'd planned and had creative suggestions which really helped. The best part is the work itself and we feel completely satisfied. I am happy to recommend them very highly.

 + 2 moreMy driveway was in poor condition and I had a narrow walkway overgrown with ivy and a yard with a downward pitch towards the house where I wanted to put patio. I had already committed to another highly recommended asphalt and concrete company on Angie's list whom I won't name. Once I agreed to do the job with them, they wouldn't return my calls or give me a date or ballpark estimate. I gave up on them. I contacted Suburban Asphalt and Tom came in with a fair price ( I had 4 other contractors bid on it). More importantly, he seemed more experienced and interested in my business. The driveway came out great, the ivy is gone and in place I have a vegetation free new concrete walkway. The paver patio came out great.

He was very responsive to emails and we were able to work things out for us to have the stoop replaced in a time frame that worked for both of us. Seamus came and did the work as discussed and we are very happy with our new front stoop. I would not hesitate to use Tom and Suburban Asphalt again.

 + -1 moreSuburban Asphalt Concrete Co did a phenomenal job in paving our driveway. The entire process took about two weeks to complete. When the old asphalt was removed, the remaining soil and gravel had to settle and become compact, and then the driveway was paved with a new layer of asphalt. Throughout the process, Tom was very accommodating and answered any questions we had. The cost of the job was very reasonable and we are extremely pleased with the work that was done. We highly recommend Suburban Asphalt Concrete Co and would gladly use them again.

The quoted price was VERY reasonable to other quotes we received and never was there a mention of the price having to be increased due to unexpected obstacles. The crew was professional and was all business. Tom recommended a fence company who was also reasonable and provided quality work. I decided to go with Suburban Asphalt because of the Angie's List comments. I was a little skeptical because the comments were attributing wonderful accolades about Tom. THEY WERE RIGHT !!!!! Tom is the owner of Suburban Asphalt. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with him. He was not an absentee owner. He was present and always returned our calls.
Description of Work: We had our 65 year old decrepit parking area upgraded from rocks, pavers, dirt and pot holes to a beautifully functional asphalt parking area surrounded by attractive paver stones. I mention this as a "parking area," instead of a driveway, because we have a strangely situated property sitting between a street at the front curb and another street at the rear curb. The town (Lynbrook) gave us great difficulty in approving a permit because of the unique situating of the property between the streets, one being at a curve. Tom, the owner of Suburban Asphalt was EXTREMELY helpful with this difficult application process. I totally believe that we wouldn't have gotten the permit process approved without his assistance and we would would have had to settle for a simpler option where fewer cars would be able to park overnight on our driveway/parking area in a village with no overnight parking on our streets. Suburban Asphalt also removed a corroded shed and hauled away all the waste at no extra charge.
