Mr Fix It

The fencing was a little too big for the guy to do so he just did the deck. I think that he did a great job. He came on the time that we agreed and his personality was great. He was pretty thorough. There was a lot that we have been able to talk about. I went through the exact details of what I wanted and he said what he could do and could not do. He gave suggestions of how it could be done and we agreed on it.

Jerry purchased and replaced both the board which supports the hinges and the hinges themselves. He took his time, did the job meticulously and charged less than I expected. I would most definitely hire him again.

.Mr. Fix-it was very professional from the time the appointment was made to the time when all of my identified projects were completed. He arrived on time and started work right away. All of my projects were not easy and were time-consuming. Mr. Fix-it was very persistent and did an overall great job! The window screens were quite difficult to remove but he was willing to go though the outdoor shrubbery, probably getting scratched, and kept at it until he was able to remove all four screens. He had to go through the same process to put the screens back in. He had to do this outside in the sweltering heat and humidity. The light fixture had to be assembled first and then hung. When done it was perfect! . He had to go through a lot of steps to replace the range hood light but he did it without complaints. He has a lot of knowledge and is very fair in his pricing. He is very likable. There were no negatives. I will definitely be using him again for some work on my deck in the next couple of months.

The job from start to finish went well. He was polite to deal with, professional and surprisingly extremely reasonable when it came to price. Will definitely use again!

Mr. fix it fixed everything that needed to be fixed. Installing the fan was a tough job that took a while. He kept at it until it was done. I ordered the parts from the internet and he installed them. He is a very nice gentleman.

He is very personable. He does a little bit of everything. He is very meticulous in what he does and offered a reasonable price. If he thinks he can't do the job he won't do it.

I had a family friend who is a contractor doing some work for me part time. When he had some work and personal issues pop up and told me he couldn't come by for a while, I needed to find someone to finish up some loose ends. I found Jerry (or Larry?) here on Angie's List by searching for handymen. He was friendly on the phone. I told him I needed 3 saddles and a light installed. We agreed to a price for a day's work based on what I was paying my friend and a time frame to do the job. He came by, assessed the job, told me he would do it a little differently after seeing it and gave me the job price instead of a day rate. It turned out to be more than agreed to over the phone for less than a day's work, but it was close enough and he was nice and accommodating enough, so we agreed to move forward. I gave him money for materials. He said he would bring me the receipt with any change. He seemed nice. The only negative is a little awkwardness when I had to ask him for the change from the materials he bought. He wound up not needing to buy the high hat, so there should have been more change than anticipated. But there was less, and I only got that after flat out asking for it. I wish that hadn't happened. I'm probably just spoiled by the extremely high quality and low rate I get from my friend.... who redid the saddles when he got around to coming back to work at my house. All in all, Jerry did a decent job for a decent price.

Jerry came look at what needed to be done. Came back with all the materials and finished up with everything in one day. Very organized.

We worked very well together. Jerry is a very reliable worker (person). He was very honest with me about what work he could and could not do.

Mr. Fix-It seems fine about going through a list of things to fix and effectively resolving all issues. Mr. Fix-It also was good about pointing about issues from prior workers, such a treated lumber post with insecticide being used incorrectly and dangerously inside a home. He is not always totally neat and it is a good idea to tell him exactly where you want an old item being removed put so it does not cause problems. Jerry is a good worker, friendly, and charges a very reasonable rate for his services. He likes to work early in the morning, but if you are flexible about this, he can quickly resolve all issues, so you can have the rest of the day for your own purposes.

I could not be happier with the job. He explained everything step by step.

Overall he was thorough and took his time. He offered to haul our dishwasher out to the garage so that the walls behind it could be dry for a few days. He was very professional and courteous.

We contacted Mr. Fixit and made an appointment to have our electrical outlet replaced/repaired. Due to Hurricane Sandy, it was very difficult to find anyone available. Jerry agreed to help us out, even though he was not available for 3 weeks. He had an hour long commute just to get here. We offered him an extra $100 to fit us into his busy schedule, but afterwards, he only charged us $75 which included both labor and the parts we needed. Jerry was likeable, professional, and knowledgable. Will hire again!

Everything went extremely well. Told him what we needed to have fixed and he fixed it.

The job went very well and I think he is wonderful.

I had called Jerry beforehand to explain the work that needed to be done. On the scheduled date, he arrived on time and with the materials that he needed to complete the job. He worked efficiently and I was very happy with the result. I was also impressed with his honesty and his knowledge of his own limitations. He only accepts the smaller jobs and assess each one before he accepts it based on his experience and his ability to complete it satisfactory. I found this to be very professional as there are so many other contractors (and handymen) who will only accept the large jobs. I would definitely use him again.

He came and maually removed some of the molding that was the contributor to the door problem to see just exactly what might have to be done and also to show me, and just by doing that, the problem was solved!...no charge.

He was very polite, prompt and did what he said he was going to do. I have no reason not to give him an A, I don't remember any problems with the quality of work. He was on time and very professional.
