Great! I highly recommend Women at Work.

I had four rooms, two hallways and a two-story foyer painted, along with the ceilings and all of the trim. It was a little overwhelming the first day, as we had no idea there would be so many on the crew! When they arrived, they immediately began work. The job was completed in just 3 days; it would have taken us 3 months to do it ourselves! They picked up at the end of every day, just piled their supplies in the corner of one room. At the end, they did a walk through and did a good job cleaning everything up.

Fantastic! During the home estimate, they thoroughly reviewed each room, identifying problem areas (there were many). They listened to my requests and ultimately delivered. They helped with recommending types of paint sheen for the rooms. Their cost estimate included paint and all supplies they would need. No nickel and diming. I was able to choose the paint colors I wanted from any company, and they matched it to a superior paint product. When they came the first day, they showed up with a professional team of people who knew exactly what their role was within the team (six people) and went right to work. I added some detail work to the original scope, and was accommodated for a fair price. Final price was exactly what was quoted. The painting is sharp, clean lines. attention to detail, pride in their work. Easy and personable with whom to work. Took less than three days for a lot of work. I am amazed how great my home turned out. Their estimate was a little higher than others, but I am SO HAPPY I chose Women at Work because this is exactly what it should be. Better than I imagined it would look, and I am picky. I would recommend Women at Work for residential or commercial work. Price I list includes tax (and all supplies and materials). Even though paint and supplies were included in the price, they left us the remainder of paint for each room (8 different paint colors). They said if I found a problem later on that I did not notice upon final inspection, then to call them up and someone would be right over to take care of it. I wanted it done perfectly and quickly. They delivered both.

We received 3 quotes for staining our house. Women at Work was the middle quote in terms of price, and, since we'd previously hired them for interior painting and were pleased with the work, we decided to hire them for the job. We needed to have some siding repaired before it could be pained and they advised us to contact them to schedule when the repairs were completed. We contacted them three times before we finally were able to get a date set. We later contacted them to confirm the stain they planned to use. The person who answered the phone told us a different brand of stain than both I and my wife remembered from the estimate (the exact stain was not written on the estimate). She also told us it would come from a local paint store that doesn't carry that brand! We asked her to please have someone more knowledgeable call us back to confirm the stain that would be used. The same person who answered the phone called us back several days later and gave us the same misinformation. We again asked to have someone who does the work call us. Four business days later we had not heard from Women at Work and we obtained another estimate for the same price as Women at Work with more prep work included and the exact, high quality stain written into the estimate (also an A rated painter on Angie's list). Since we could not get anyone knowledgeable from Women at Work to call us, we decided to cancel them and hire the other painter. We really can't comment on the quality of the work they would have done, but the quality of their customer service has declined significantly since the last time we hired them. Too bad.

Because of winter weather/, painter was delayed a bit in arrival - but called to let me know he was running late, so felt he was conscientious. Did thorough job - primer plus 2 coats of paint. I supplied wall paint, but painter supplied primer and ceiling paint at no additional charge. Could have if company's approach was to nickel & dime to increase charge. Took time to explain why and what he was doing. Was considerate of home in terms of changing footwear and cleanup. Overall, my impression was that it mattered to him that he do a quality/professional job,

The team was very prompt and professional. They completed all of the work in just 2 days and did an outstanding job. They were personable and cleaned up beautifully. My house now looks awesome for the holidays. I would highly recommend them and will call them again for sure. I wish I knew they removed wallpaper before I spent 2 days doing it myself in the kitchen. Next time I will use them to do that too!

WONDERFUL work, delightful people, incredibly efficient/prompt. Women at Work were utterly pleasing in every way. In addition to excellent staining, they informed me about some rotten sections and referred me to a provider for repair. I feel total confidence in all that they did. I would surely use them again and I have already encouraged a friend to use them. Utterly good!

I would highly recommend Women @ Work. Their staff was professional, prompt, organized & thorough. Before projects began, a complete assessment of each room was conducted & details were noted as to what was to be done. The staff helped w/ ideas in coordinating colors & made helpful suggestions. I will be selling my house in the Spring, so I wanted ideas on how to best brighten each room, yet maintain a neutral, appealing appearance. I will be hiring them again in the Spring for some outdoor projects.

They did a great job. Stuck by their original estimate for the rooms. This was remarkable because the wallpaper removal ended up being worse case scenario of 5 layers in one room and also 2 very stubborn layers in the master! (I never redecorated those rooms so I didn't realize this during the initial estimate meetup). Even though the rooms were much worse labor than expected with several layers of wallpaper to remove they never asked to raise the price. They discussed different ways to handle the problem such as skim coat but decided on a longer and more work intensive method at their own time expense because they felt it would be a better way to handle it. So they scraped off all the layers and then made sure the walls were smooth and flat before painting. They did an amazing job and even helped me pick out a neutral color to help me sell my house. Also recommended a good cleaning lady to me! Really loved working with Barbara who came out to do the estimate and was my primary contact. She has a wonderful personality and made me feel at ease while extremely professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!! Thankful we hired them and didn't try to do it ourselves. Wallpaper removal is not for the faint of heart!!

Women at Work owners are very professional and personable. The completed the job as discussed within 5 days, and their workers are on time and hard-working. Also, they assisted us in finding a contractor to repair rotting boards. The house looks great. Overall we are very pleased with Women at Work and would use them again.

This was the first time we had used a professional painter - always do our own interior work. Livingroom ceiling is longer than usual and has a scroll design. This was done by the former owner. We were nervous about painting it and also my husband can no longer keep head back for any length of time. Estimate was done and within 2 weeks we were notified of a date. Two women arrived on time, covered everything, put two coats on ceiling. Beautiful job! No mess. Very professional. Work completed in 3-4 hrs.

They showed up on time for the estimate. They looked around for a couple of minutes, never measured the area and then provided an estimate of $1100+ which is 2x more than another company we received an estimate from. Needless to say, we went with the less expensive company (Ladies and Lads with Ladders) and were very very happy with that decision.

I cannot say enough good about Women at Work. Ours was a very complex job to schedule and execute, because it involved an out-of-state move, uncertain closing dates, and the need to dovetail the painting work around carpet installation, hardwood floor refinishing, and other assorted modifications and improvements being made by three other contractors. We had a tight timeline. And to complicate matters more, the woodwork (ALL doors, baseboards, door and window trim, dental moldings around a cove ceiling, etc.) was not consistent - some had been done initially with an oil-based enamel and the rest with a latex paint. This required varying prepping techniques in each situation to achieve a uniform result with the application of the new white trim paint. Including the trim, this house had TEN paint colors - from 4 different paint manufacturers. Julie and her team never flinched. They worked early mornings and late nights and weekends. They tweaked their schedules to accommodate other contractors' inflexibility. But most importantly, their workmanship was SUPERB! From the very beginning of the job, Julie could tell I was very particular, and she was concerned I might not be totally satisfied with the end result: "This isn't going to look like a brand new house, you know. We're good, but we're not magicians." Well, I beg to differ. They ARE magicians, and this house DOES look like a brand new house. They painted over crazy colors, they cut in around the most intricate of moldings. Their work was meticulous and the results were flawless. I LOVE my home now. And the whole team are just great human beings to have around your house doing work. They are courteous and compassionate and just plain fun! BRAVO!

It was great-from the estimate to the finished room. Everything was explained beforehand. Painting was deep red over dark blue. Walls were prepared, primed and 2 coats of the finish color were put on.

Very professional and friendly. They were on time and finished in two days as scheduled. Would recommend them to family and friends.

Hard working folks who go out of their way to help the customer and do a great job. They are friendly, do the job right and are very courteous. I could not have asked for anything better.

They are absolutely phenomenal inside. I had some roof repair and they fixed that and painted that too. They were wonderful and I would use them again.

Painted home exterior of aluminum siding, wood shake and window trim, front porch ceiling. Siding was chalking and very pitted in one area and result was beautiful. They were neat, on time, fast and very responsive. Wish I had done it years ago!

The women that came was very friendly. They gave me a quote and I was still checking around for other quotes. I have no negative feedback about them.

They were phenomenal. I called them, and they were in and out in one day. I had shopped around, and their cost was very reasonable. I just can't say enough about them, I liked everything about them, and what they did. It wasn't just women who did the work, there were women and a couple of young guys who were working. I definitely would be using them again in the future.

They were OK. I grade them a C overall.
