Description of Work: "Landscaped the back yard. Adding a section of river rock on the hill. Adding sod which turned out to be a bad idea. I had no experience with sod so when the landscape designed suggested sod it seemed like a good idea. But I have two large dogs that like to run and the sod kept coming loose and was dying. Some of the sod was placed in a area where there is never any sun; under several very large pine trees. This sod dyed right away. I was watering it as instructed and it turned moldy and smelled very bad. It took them several weeks to come and remove the sod in this area. Once all the landscaping issues were resolved I signed up for their lawn mowing service and snow removal service. Every thing was fine until November 2016 when I came home and found the lawn mowing guys blowing the leaved into piles in the back yard. I asked them what they were doing and they said they were cleaning up the leaves. I told them not to take the leaves because I keep them for mud control. When I went back outside a little later they were gone and so were the leaves. The worst part was that I got billed $160 for a service I did not request, authorize or want. I called and they did cut the charge to $80. Still too much since I did not request the service. And finally the snow removal. I have a 20 foot driveway and and 8 foot sidewalk. I was told snow removal was $40 per visit. The bill was for $80 for one snow removal visit. I call and was told that if the snow is more than 6 inches the owner charges double. No one told me that. I have canceled all services with this company."

Description of Work: The workers were very experienced and completed the job on time. I was kept informed of any extra costs for work to be done.

Description of Work: Lawn Care - approximately 1 acre. A great Choice is exactly that. They cared for the lawn at my parent's vacant home in Vestal NY. They did a great job caring for the property and keeping their eyes open for anything that might be amiss. I recommend them highly!

Description of Work: We are trying to kill a weed that is highly resistant to weed killer, so time will tell. The folks at A Great Choice Lawn Care have been helpful and eager to oblige even with some out-of-the-ordinary requests.

Description of Work: Trimmed all my bushes in front yard. Were very professional and courteous. The only complaint I have is it took so long to come from time I called them to the actual work being done. They said they were working 6-day weeks. I guess that's the price you pay when you're so good. |
