Goldberg came with a quote of 8.5k, or almost 4,000 dollars more than each of the other 4 quotes from other plumbers. The cost for the parts was only about 2.5k, so he was hoping to pocket 6k in fees and take me for a sucker. Be careful with this vendor...they think just cause you live in Westchester that they can rip you off

The service man was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and did a great job.

I called Dave Goldberg Plumbing to hire someone to clear a bathtub drain that was draining slowly. Because they were busy, they took down my information to pass along to another company that they contract out for drain clearing. The other company called me within 10 minutes of my initial call to Dave Goldberg Plumbing and we scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. The representative showed up within the agreed upon time frame and cleared the drain. He was very informative and didn't seem to mind that I watched what he was doing and asked questions. The drain seems to be draining like it should now, but I haven't yet taken a shower.

Went very smoothly. Knowledgable. Had to switch in a new faucet - had almost perfect one in their van. In and out in 1 hour.

Gary and the man with him were prompt, pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient (and I love that they offered to take their shoes off without being asked!).

The cost above consists of three separate appointments. The parts were a headache to get because I did not want to break any tile to get to the plumbing. Once I was finally able to get ALL of the correct parts the install went nice and easy. I will admit the service got a bit pricey and I would have liked for the company to simply order the parts for me. But, now that I know A LOT more than I ever wanted to about plumbing I think the next repair will go much smoother. The main reason for me taking the time to write this review is because of the extreme professionalism of the plumber that came to my home all three times, Gary B. Every time he came to my home he had a smile, took his work boots off per my request to not dirty my floors and put down cardboard to not damage my tiles. I have a lot of servicemen come in and out of our new home for repairs and it's not always the most pleasant experience, but Gary B was GREAT!! Oh, and I guess the most important part, he was very knowledgable in his trade. Thanks!

The pressure relieve valve on our boiler did it's job, but left us with a puddle of 1/8" of water over 6 feet of our basement. Called on a Monday morning and had two men at my door to assess and fix by 9 a.m. They were fast, courteous, explained to me what they were doing every step and were even nice to my hyperactive collie dog. This is the second time we've had Goldberg do work at our home and, should the occasion call for it (hopefully not anytime soon! :)) we'll definitely use them again.

Excellent service, very professional, Carlos and Paul are the best. They went above and beyond and made sure all was proper before leaving, I couldn't be happier.

We had a sudden leak after one of the many freezes this winter. Another plumber came out, but could not find the leak. Dave Goldberg Plumbing came out, found two leaks (one was a simple fix, and he did it on the spot), carefully sought out the remaining leak and diagnosed it. It is a big job, so he advised me to get the insurance company out to look at it, which I am doing. I expect to use him for the final repair and will report on that when it's done. So far, he has been professional, helpful, and reasonably priced. I am very impressed and he will be my go-to guy when the insurance company has had its look.

The job was well done. However we scheduled further work which they cancelled due to too many emergencies. They never got back to us when they said that they would.

This company is a little expensive, but worth it. The plumbers who came to my house were courteous, punctual, and got me running very quickly. The appointment was kept and I would definitely use these guys again. I have had nothing but problems with other plumbers, these guys are great.

Two plumbers came and completed the work in a couple of hours.

This is a wonderful company from the receptionist who takes your call to the plumber who does the work. I am extremely pleased to have finally found a company that comes on time, does excellent work, does not charge a fortune and has great customer service.

The water heater feeder hose at the top of the unit broke, spraying water all over the hot water heater closet and flooding down through the ceiling of the first floor. The water had to be turned off to the entire condominium unit. This happened late on a Friday afternoon on a summer weekend. We called Dave Goldberg's office who told us someone would call us back. He did, but offered to come out on Monday, saying his plumbers were off as it was the beginning of the weekend. When I explained that we had a flood and consequently no water service to our home, he said he would see what he could do. By Friday evening, we had the water turned back on. By Saturday noon, we had a new hot water heater. We have used Dave Goldberg before and since (replaced faucets, replaced a sink) and always have been pleased with his responsiveness and with the quality of the work. We recommend them most highly.

My 20+ year old water heater started leaking on a Sunday night. I made a couple of calls to plumbers in the area (the previous home owners recommended Dave Goldberg Plumbing). They responded Monday morning and offered a quote of $1,100 all in. Unfortunately, they could not come until Wednesday so I used a slightly more expensive option (1,300) that was able to offer same day service. That said, I would still consider using Dave Goldberg Plumbing in the future given the previous

One of the big reasons I went with Goldberg was the honest and fast estimation process. Doug (one of the owners) came to my home and made me feel very comfortable with his expertise and the large team he could use to tackle my big job quickly with minimal downtime for heat and hot water. He pointed out that I might need to have my chimney re-lined due to installing a high-efficiency oil burner which creates corrosive flue gasses. This was something that no other plumber had mentioned (and turned out to be needed when I subsequently had the chimney swept) . The actual work started on-time and a large crew arrived to cut up my old boiler and remove the pipes and debris. I was very impressed with the lead plumber, Chris, who supervised the actual work. He struck me as a true craftsman who took pride in making my system function efficiently and look attractive. He was also great about answering my questions and appeared genuinely excited to show me the progress his team had made each day. He wired up the boiler temporarily to get me hot water as soon as possible which was great. After the main install was finished, Doug came back to finish up some odds and ends for no additional charge (which hadn't been specifically called out in the estimate) and we noticed that one of the large valves had discoloration on it from a small leak - Doug said that he'd rather replace it now, despite it being a lot of work for him, just to be on the safe side. This kind of honesty and desire to do quality work really gave me a great feeling about working with and recommending Dave Goldberg Plumbing and Heating.

Two young men, apparently from a subcontractor that specializes in drain work, arrived within a hour or so of my call. They did the job thoroughly and carefully to avoid damaging the aging pipes. They also checked frequently to determine that their work wash to causing any leaks or water damage. The tub drain, which was clogged for ages, is now running smoothly. They also advised me to use white vinegar to maintain drains instead of the harsh (an ineffective) chemicals I had been using. We're very satisfied with their work.
