Description of Work: They sent their snake / clog expert (from Drainco) because the kitchen sink was going down very slowly. I had tried Drano, which did nothing, before calling Goldberg Plumbing. I called to have them snake out the kitchen sink, as well as two bathroom sinks, a tub drain and a shower drain. All were fine, yet the kitchen sink was still very slow. The Drainco tech then guessed that the problem was likely the vent in the kitchen sink, so I went to the local plumbing supply shop and got a new Studor mini vent. We both confirmed the new vent was working properly, yet installing it did not change the results. The decision was made to send a Goldberg Plumbing plumber to try to determine the issue. While writing the bill, the Drainco guy asked if anything plumbing related in the house had recently changed. I told him that an old Edison sink was reattached to existing plumbing, so he decided to look at that, in my basement furnace room. Being in the basement, there is an ejector pump. We ran the water long enough for the ejector pump to go on, and that was all the Drainco guy needed to hear to know the issue. His suspicion that the main line to our septic tank was blocked was correct. We walked outside the house to the main vent and we discovered waste coming out of the vent, which happened to be the lowest vent in the house. He snaked out the main, and determined the issue was double and triply ply toilet paper as well as flushable baby wipes, which as anything by flushable.

They are a little more expensive than others, but I don't mind paying when his staff is on time, performs the necessary work, clean up after themselves, and I know they stand by their work. Description of Work: I have used Dave Goldberg for a number of plumbing jobs from installing a new water heater to fixing leaking pipes. They arrive when they say they will and do quality work. I especially like the fact that they work on Sundays which is a great convenience to have.

Description of Work: A pipe froze and started to leak in the garage, and the water meter also cracked. Chris, the tech who came out (twice), calmly convinced my overwrought husband that fixing it would not bankrupt us (the town replaced the water meter for $205 at 8 am the next day) and fixed the pipe. I can't remember what we paid the company, but it was totally reasonable and worth every penny for the de-stressing value alone.

Description of Work: On the Sunday evening before a forecasted mega blizzard, I lost my hot water! On Monday morning, I called Dave Goldberg in a complete panic, and they assured me that they would get someone out that day to help us, most likely it was a blown water heater. They came out as the snow was coming down, changed the water heater, ran a check on all the water systems, cleaned up and left. They got the job done, all the while the snow was heavily coming down. I would use them again in a heartbeat! Very nice workers, definitely knew their profession well.

No matter which of their guys they send to my home, he is always professional and knowledgeable. Price is not cheap but I think reasonable. You can't go wrong using this company.

Description of Work: Replaced cartridge in 1 piece shower fixture--It was leaking. |Fixed knocking in basement--turned water pressure down, replaced a strange looking part cuplike part and wrapped a pipe. They are expensive but everything works. Oh, well.
