Everything was done correctly and exactly on time. The price charged was fair. The work was done efficiently including the clean up.

Overall, I really like Dave Goldberg Plumbing & Heating. I don’t think I really dislike anything. Their price is good. They are knowledgeable.

we had issues with our water heater - the gas flame would not turn on. We got goldbergs contact through the water heater company (they were an official service provider for the water heater company). For some reason they insisted that we contact the waterheater company to trouble shoot over the phone (am not atall convinced how effective such an evaluation can be). It started well, there was someone to recieve a call late in the evening and the owner kindly called back the same evening. The next day someone came over and suggested a new part -- a completely different solution than what the water heater company had suggested over the phone. We went along since it seemed to make sense. we went and bought the part (again seemed odd that they could not get it for us) and they came back and installed it. The water heater was working when they left. But a few days after they left the heater stopped working. When we called Goldberg, they completely washed hands off all responsibility. Said we should call the water company and figure out the problem and that they would charge us their fees over again since it is a new issue. So, they completely ignored what the company said the first time, suggested something totally different and then asked us to go back to the company and troubleshoot the problem over the phone! They also took no responsibilty for their work. The only good thing that I can say for the company is that the people who came were very polite and seemed to be knowledgable.

I actually called them out of the phonebook. They came over the next day, replaced the outdoor spigot--it was a little tricky, he had to remove a piece of siding, which he also popped right back in w/out any issue. The agent that came out was prepared, had the parts on hand, quickly did the replacement and even applied a coupon! Very professional and courteous, unfortunately their prices are quite high, but I have to say, so is their service!

The price was reasonable. He was on time and he fixed the problem. My husband was pleased with him.

Well, it went great! Carlos and Vinnie showed up and first and most important were professional and engaging. They should up 15 minutes earlier before the agreed time. Although they did not give an exact estimate, they quoted the cost the first 45 minutes and there after. First they used a 35 foot snake and could not dislodge what ever caused the water from draining completely. They spent about 30 minutes using the snake. Carlos decided to go down to the basement to identify a long pipe that had a drainage cap. The idea was to use that drainage cap to open it and let whatever was in the pipe come out. Because the pipe was so close to the wall, it would spill all over the place. Carlos decided to move down the pipe another 20 feet. Using a saw, he cut roughly 5 inches from the pipe. This allowed Carlos and Vinnie to remove what ever debris stuck in that pipe. To flush it out completely, Vinnie asked my wife to fill up the bath tub and open a bathroom faucet and let it run. After filling the tub, he asked to empty the bathtub and wall, Vinnie who was downstairs heard the eater drain completely. Thank you Carlos and Vinnie for your diligence and experience tackling this issue. You are are true Pros!

We were very satisfied with their timing and their work. They were here when they said they would be and they worked here until they got it done. Their detail was extremely good and I am happy with their work.

We where very please with the work. They said that they would be here between 8:30 and 9:00 and they wre here before 8:30. They were very proffesional and they cleanned up like no one even there. Everything was covered and and no messes were found. There were 2 guys that came and they to ere neat and clean. Thank you Rob and Matthew for the excellect work. I would highly reccomend Goldberg Plumbing and Heating for any of your plumbing needs. And I hear that they do not charge extra for weekends.

My kitchen sink was draining too slowly for proper use; could not run the dishwasher. Called on 1/5, and on the morning of 1/6 the snake guys arrived. They called when they were 30 minutes out to let me know they were coming. Very professional, gave me some fantastic (and inexpensive) advice on how to keep the lines clean. Nice, polite. I felt safe (I was by myself), and they cleaned up so well that you never knew they were there. I would use these guys again.

i noticed water cpouroing out og the overfow vent. I called Goldberg Plumbing; they contract with another company to do main line snaking. I was called back with in 10 minutes and they were at my house with in 20 minutes! so far so good!

We had a few estimates done for a new furnace. They were the cheapest, which isn't always the best the go with, but we had had good experiences with them in the past, so we went with them. They were flexible when we needed to change the date of schedule and with payment. They have always been extremeley punctual and professional as well.

They are very good and reliable. They do not charge extra for weekend or holiday calls. We have been really happy with them. If we have a clogged toilet and it is a holiday we will call them because they don't charge extra for emergency calls. They were professional, fast, friendly and got the job done quick.

The price and demeanor of the people that came was very good. We haven't had an extremely heavy rain since it was installed so I can't be certain if it works, but so far I have nothing but good impressions.

We had a leaking water heater that required immediate assistance. Dave Goldeberg himself came out to assess the situation and made calls to get a team to our house immediately to drain the water heater and to vacuum up as much water as possible from the basement floor. By the end of the day, a new water heater had been delivered for installation the following morning. We were incredibly impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism, not only from Dave as the owner, but from all of the technicians who came to our house. We also had some minor plumbing work done throughout the house during the following week, because we were confident in the work and in the fair pricing. In some cases, the problem couldn't be fixed immediately, but we got specific advice as to what steps we should take to remedy the problem, such as the need to purchase new hardware, because the old hardware was beyond repair. We would (and will) recommend Dave Goldberg Plumbing to anyone in our area who needs a plumber.

Perfectly and professionally done. Saved me from expensive exposing of gas lines inside home. They had replaced my hot water heater earlier in the year at a fair price. Excellent company.

The plumber did a great job of putting in the new valves. He estimated it would take 2-3 hours and he finished in just over 3 hours. I have a 50 yr old house and it might have been the original parts he had to replace so of course nothing fit exactly right. It was a small space that he had to work in and he couldn't get behind the wall. He did a great job and only removed a small section of tile and wall. He didnt make much of a mess and gave me some free advice on some other repairs that I need.

They are prompt, courteous, and do good work. If they won't be on time, they will call in advance. The first time I used them was for a leak, which they fixed, and they installed a water heater for me. This was about 4 years ago.

I was unable to use Jacuzzi in master bedroom upstairs for few months due to leak that developed that could be seen in sheetrock in left hand corner of garage downstairs from which water was flowing down to after every usage. I contacted Dave Goldberg Plumbing & Heating, Inc. and was given upfront estimate of labor and rate with the understanding that if the leak couldn't be repaired due to defect in Jacuzzi itself that work would stop at that point and I would only be charged at the rate for the initial hour. I agreed to terms and a plumber and his assistant ( Gary and Ray) arrived promptly on 08/17/2011. They removed small part of ceiling sheetrock to expose pipes and fittings. They ran the Jacuzzi and were able to ascertain quickly the problem in which the shoe fitting of the waste and overflow pipe was leaking and needed to be fastened / sodered into place. They showed me exactly where the leak was emanating from. Upon completion, they tested the jacuzzi again to make sure no further leaks occurred. I also asked the master plumber to check my AC unit in the attic to make sure all water condensation was running off properly into the appropriate drainage channels. He checked and indicated all was in order and that the AC drainage was adequate. I was very happy and satisfied with the knowledge and professionalism exhibited and would recommend their usage again for the future.

It was not a good experience. I just bought the house, and they were hired by the previous owner to install the UV light in my home. Before the closing, I tried to contact them and find out about the UV light because I was concerned about it. I wanted to find out what they had done, if any maintenance was required and how the light works, and they would not return my calls. They were horrible. It took them a while to get back to me. They got my attorney, the seller and the seller’s attorney involved. It was a bad experience, and I would never use them again. They did not charge me anything because they were paid by the previous owner, but I know that the UV light installation was over $1000. I think the quality is okay, and the UV light seems to be working, but I don’t know for sure as I have not done the water test to verify that the light is properly installed and working. When I asked them questions about the UV light, they were not forthcoming with their answers but were trying to sell me other services like a water softener system; I felt that this was not right. If I have any problems in the future, I will look for a resolution elsewhere.

You could schedule an appointment, and they were reliable. They accepted coupons.

The plumber arrived promptly and dismounted the circulator pump. He then saw that the pipe flange had corroded and needed to be replaced, but he didn't have the right size in his truck. He left and returned later with the correct part but (according to him) did not charge me for the time away from the job. The plumber suggested that "O-rings" be used between the pump and the upper and lower flanges but he didn't have any of the right size, said he had no obvious way to get the proper size, and suggested I take the matter up with the pump manufacturer. (This suggestion led nowhere.) Meantime, he installed the usual red-rubber gaskets even though their original use had led to the corrosion problem after years of use. The work took more time than either of us expected so at the end of the afternoon I told him he could come back the next day to finish the job and to replace the P-trap in the bathroom. The work was finished in a short time on the second day but he (perhaps under instructions from the boss) charged me the higher "first hour" amount on the second day. I don't think that was proper since it was the continuation of an interrupted job. I am sorry to say this has happened before. In fact, I had decided more than ten years ago not to use Dave Goldberg because of this kind of treatment, despite several earlier jobs without problems. The difficulty back then: I made an appointment for work at my home and came home to meet the plumbers 15 minutes in advance of the agreed time. (I was still working then.) The plumbers had arrived almost an hour earlier and charged me for the waiting time before they could get in the house -- a significant amount of money for those days. A call to the business office did no good. They rejected my complaint out of hand. In this 2010 case I decided to try Goldberg again. Perhaps I had been too hasty in my earlier judgment. Well, you be the judge, folks.

My basement sink drain was clogged. Mike was persistent and snaked the drain several times but the drain still drained slowly. He had to return to the shop to get a longer, heavy duty snake. He did not charge me for his travel time to get the snake. With the big snake he was able to clear the clog.
