Went fine, but I paid $100 for a coupon for $300 dollars worth of service, and still had to pony up an additional $284! So, $584 for installing an outdoor outlet, taking less than two hours of work and maybe $50 in parts?

Although I hadn't planned on needing this much electrical work, I knew that I wanted a cord and outlet for the dryer and I could see the corrosion outside by my electrical meter and that worried me. Once Ed and Ryan from Mister Sparky came in and alerted me to all my safety issues, I decided to get everything done. They were always very professional and explained everything. My house is over 80 years old so I wasn't really surprised. They provided paperwork for me to read on the dangerous Federal Pacific Panel and also told me I could google it and see for myself the problems with it. What that meant to me is that I didn't have to take their word for it, they weren't trying to "sell me". I felt that they were completely honest and trustworthy. Very straightforward with the facts and also very nice. I felt very comfortable with them in my home. They were very neat, put out the red rug at the entrance to my house, and always wore the shoe covers, even when they were going in and out. Covers off when they went out, covers on when they came in. But I would hire them again in a minute, with or without shoe covers. They spent about 5 hours at my house the first day, then returned 2 days later at 8:30 to do the rest. They arrived with coffee and bagels for us! So nice! Then they proceeded to work straight through to 3:30 to finish everything. They hardly take breaks and they are extremely thorough. With the power off, they spent a lot of time in the basement with just a headlamp. Yet they were always pleasant throughout. My dad was visiting while Ed and Ryan were here so he paid close attention to what they were doing. He was super impressed with their work ethic - more like something from his era, he thought. I felt comfortable asking questions and Ed always explained everything but was never condescending. As a woman, I really appreciate that. I've been talked down to before and I won't do business with anyone like that. If you need electrical work done, I would recommend Mister Sparky. If you're lucky, they will send Ed and Ryan to your home. The work will be done professionally and with a smile. I feel much more comfortable in my home knowing it is now much safer.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. They did quite a bit of work. The price was not that good but I liked the work. I think they were kind of pricey.

It went well. He installed an easy to reach switch for light over workbench which was hard to reach. Installed light switch for two basement lights which previously worked on pull cords. Installed a new light outside the front door. The bubble covers on the outlets on the deck are fine except I can no longer plug in the power washer. The plug does not fit into the box.

I called Mr. Sparky this morning and they gave me an appointment right away. They actually called and arrived early. The electrician was polite and professional.

They were on time and very professional, and I knew exactly what was going on with them. I felt very comfortable with them.

They put booties on their shoes when they come in to keep the house clean. They also put a protective covering on the floor to keep things clean as well. They always call a half hour before they get here to let me know what time they will be here. They are always on time. There is normally an estimating cost but when they do the work they waive the cost.

Put in sockets, installed light fixtures, installed fan on the ceiling, and also repaired set of lights in cabinets. They did an excellent job. I was impressed when the door bell rang and there was a rug out there and they were wearing booties as to not track dirt in the house. They were polite and a pleasure. They are good people. He even left to pick something up for us. Very trustworthy.

The work went well. The estimate was given before the work was started. I agreed to the estimate and the work was done.

Quality and service was very good. Price seemed kind of high.

Our boiler stopped working and before our plumber would work on the system, he told us we needed to have the electrical properly grounded. I called three electricians and Mister Sparky was the only one to answer the phone immediately and schedule an appointment the next morning. I was told that there would be a $59 service call fee and an estimate would be given for the work at that time. We needed our heat and hot water back, so they were our only option. I was very happy that there was someone that I could talk to immediately at Mister Sparky. According to the person I spoke to, the job would be priced out for me not based on the time but by the actual job. My wife was home when the electrician came. She was pleasantly surprised when she opened the door and the electrician was already wearing booties. But this is when the fun began for them. Mister Sparky has what they call "Straightfoward Pricing" which is really the exact opposite. It should be called either "Obscure Pricing" or "We charge you whatever we think we can get out of you." I was in shock when he quoted us over $800 for what seemed like a simple job. Unfortunately, we were at their mercy, so we had the work done. The work consisted of having one high hat replaced, a crude light fixture in our boiler room replaced, a ground wire run from an electrical box to the boiler and light bulbs installed in a very high outdoor fixture. The whole job took about an hour and a half. Everything was performed as we expected and overall the technician was very courteous and neat. Again, had their pricing been more realistic and down to earth, I would've been very happy with the work and service that they performed. The technician then offered my wife a free "safety inspection" in which he took a look around the house and suggested any additional electrical safety work that should be addressed (which basically consisted of replacing some outlets with GFIs). The estimate for that work covered under the safety inspection was another $1500! He also left us a beautiful folder with all kinds of promotional materials, pens, magnets, etc. I guess the hundreds of extra dollars have to go to something. When I got home and looked over the invoice, I noticed that they charged us the $59 min service fee in addition to all the other "straightfoward" service fees. I have no clue how the technician came to the price he did (and with straightforward pricing, you'd think it would at least make a little bit of sense). I can honestly say, no matter how good their work is, I would never in a million years use Mister Sparky again based on their ridiculous pricing scheme. When it comes down to it, $575/hour is a bit much for an electrician. Again, they are a competent company but you will get absolutely ripped off beyond belief and for this reason, I would never recommend Mister Sparky to anyone.

Went fine. All electrical work was completed. Did notice (months later) that items were missing from my basement. Cant pin on Mr. Sparky though. Ben Franklin and Petro were also in the basement around this time. All are not coming back for service.

I found the technicians to be very professional and friendly, and they took great care to avoid dirtying or damaging anything in the home. Furthermore, they worked quickly and completed the job on time. I really like that they gave me the final cost of the job before starting work as well.

In general, we were very pleased. The gentleman was pleasant, and he was competent.

Everything went well. The technicians were very professional, and they did a good job of keeping the house clean while they worked. Ultimately, I am satisfied with the work. As an aside, a good tip would be to have a double-throw switch installed for the fan so that one can see if it is working properly.

I received a call telling me that rather than send an electrician, they had referred my service call to their partner franchise, Ben Franklin plumbing, and would send a plumber with experience on such installations and the electrical wiring that goes with it. Everyone I dealt with by phone was polite, professional, rapidly responsive, punctual. Will furnish a separate review of Ben Franklin Plumbing.

Never returned a phone call asking for a quote.

He does very good work, prompt, and responsive. We have used them often. Anything we need, we use them. Frank is very conscientious of his work and his crew's work.

Beautifully! Mr. Sparky's answering service picked up right away and promised us service in an hour and a half (this was a Saturday). Bob showed up right on time. He was a thorough professional from the get-go, in company uniform, even with a little rug and booties to keep from dragging dirt in on our floor! He did everything quickly and cleanly, was very knowledgeable and took the time to talk to us about the violations, what he recommended to be done first, how much things cost and why, and how payment could be scheduled on the Power Club plan. Made copious notes for us, along with detailed price estimates. He was here approx. three hours and was courteous and accommodating from first to last. He's a very good salesman, as well. Inspires you to want to get everything done, but doesn't pressure you. P.S. Everything works, we didn't need a back-up call. I would definitely hire this company again, to get us up to code, and I highly recommend them.
