Mitra Tiles

Totally stripped old paint (glaze) from tub and re-glazed the tub surface. Re caulked the tub when finished. Our tub had been re-glazed approx18 years earlier. Over the past 2 years, small paint chips developed throughout the tub. All of the old glazing had been removed which allowed a smooth surface for the new glaze. The tub again, looks brand new. Exhaust fans were used which minimized the odors while painting. We were VERY satisfied with the result.

He has been unresponsive. He also has not returned any of my attempts to contact him.

He responded immediately to my calls, and messages when I left them. We set up an appointment and he called day of to confirm He arrived on time He brought all equipment to work and some to ensure my house was not damaged or dirty or smelled He was extremely professional in both demeanor and work He was very friendly as well I would highly recommend him to friends and family

I keep calling Dmitry Kostitsyn at (201) 577-6213 and I have yet to hear back from him. He's already been paid for the work. Can I get the work?

Looks like a new bathtub! Dimitri was prompt, courteous, efficient and over all a pleasure to work with! His work ethic is fantastic. It is unusual to find people who really take pride in the work they do anymore. He took a decaying tub and made it into a brand new one. I would, without question, highly recommend him and the company!

I purchased big deal for tub reglazing. Shortly after received email from Tony inquiring about date for work to be done and a few questions to answer and was impressed that contacted me in a timely fashion However, have sent 2 email replies and have not received a reply. Called once but could not reach. Hoping I will hear from someone soon and will not have to seek a refund.

Someone did come to do the work about 2-3 weeks ago. Tony said he had a problem in the tub and "lost power" and he would come back out again to work on it. There was a noticeably different color around the inside of the tub after he left. He didn't get the tub completely glazed. Then I didn't hear from Tony after that. Finally I got a call from Dmitri. I told him what happened and that Tony hadn't finished the work. Dmitri informed me Tony had been fired. I spoke with Dmitri Friday morning (14th) and he said he would be there Wednesday morning (19th). I haven't heard from him since.

Tony arrived a little late on the morning the work was to be done, but he got started right away. I was told the process should take no more than 3-4 hours maximum. Tony was scraping and scouring and stripping layer upon layer of paint off of our tub for HOURS. I was impressed with his desire to get it right. The actual spraying was quick compared to the removal of paint. Our tub is original to the building, so approximately 1929. BUT, Tony did not cover anything in the bathroom before he sprayed. Because the process took longer than usual, the bathroom didn't have time to air out, and we ended up staying elsewhere that night because I am pregnant and we have a young daughter. I didn't get a good look at the bathroom the day the work was done because of the fumes. The next day I arrived to clean up and I was disappointed to find paint residue everywhere, and it would not come off. I called Dmitry (who I had originally scheduled the work with), and he called back immediately. He apologized and said he would come to fix the situation. Dmitry came alone to fix the work - scouring the sink, toilet, fixtures, and flour with a toxic chemical that literally ate through his gloves. He apologized and said that he supplies his workers with all they need to cover everything in a bathroom so that this thing doesn't happen. We still have some paint residue on our flour tiles and grout near the vanity, and some residue on the front of the vanity itself -- both of which are disappointing. Would I use Mitra Tiles again in the future? Yes, I do think I would. BUT, I would make sure EVERYTHING in the bathroom was covered before any spraying was done.

I already paid for it and I cannot get ahold of them. I have tried to contact them twice.

They regulated the bath tub and an Assistant had come, he was on time, incredibly polite and very professional. It was extremely hard but at the end of the job there was some issues with it, and there were some drips and what not. And I called the owner of the store and he came back last week and he fixed everything, apologized for it, I highly recommend them. They were wonderful.

The contractor was a very friendly man who worked very hard.

He was unbelievable. He is a talented artisan. His creativity is really good. He is really very well priced. He is sweet, lovely and great to work with. I'm going to have him do work at my mom's house and he's going to come back here and do more work. I can't say enough about him. He is just a great guy. He worked with us because I had the wrong tile, I didn't realize, he had to go back. He came back and didn't even want to charge us extra but we gave him. He is really talented and good. He is really busy. I'm going to use him in the future, I'm waiting for him to be free.

Prior to making the appointment to have the job done, I was told by the owner in advance that there would be an extra cost for the repair, so there were no extra charges or fees that I was unaware of. The work was done by Tony, one of the assistants. He arrived exactly on time, was friendly, professional and a very hard worker. Tony was polite, accommodating and answered all my questions and worked neatly. After the work was completed I noticed some places on the tub where the glaze had dripped and was not smooth, and he said he would come back on another day to fix the issue.

Dimitri was prompt and professional. He was very neat. I would use him again. He showed me photos of his tile work. He is a real artist.

Dimitre and helper showed up at 10a as scheduled.They first removed the toilet, and then installed a layer of WonderBoard. They then installed the 12 sq.in. ceramic tiles. They took their lunch to let the adhesive set. . Once this was done, they reinstalled the toilet and conducted a thorough clean up of the entire area. We were very pleased with the final result and would definitely use their services for any future tile work.

There was one small glitch but the provider came right back and fixed the problem without hesitation. The bathtub came out great.

Nice. Some weird frustrations because it turned out mine was an unusual surface, but Dmitry was determined and made return visits to ensure all was right.

Dmitry was great. He arrived exactly at 1pm which was the time of the appointment. He took care to clean the space well before starting and then did the entire job in 3 hours flat, including reglazing the tub and fixing chips in it. The price was great. He was very nice and he is trustworthy. He cleaned up after himself as well. At one point I had to leave for a minute (and leave him alone in my home). When I returned all was as I had left it. I would definately use him again (and I very well might). A real pleasure. One thing I would note, is that he did not look as I had expected (he has a face piercing which I did not expect). Don't let that disuade you, he is very kind, trustworthy, and professional. I hope to use him again for tiling. Thanks Dmitry! Regards, Andre

Dmitry did a fantastic job! He was pleasant and very accommodating and he did a great job installing the tiles. He was very neat and cleaned up completely before he left. But, best of all, he cared about doing the job right and his focus on quality shows. I highly recommend Mitra Tiles to everyone! Oh, and one last thing, Dmitry is certified to reglaze tubs and fixtures so keep him in mind if your looking to have that done.

Dmitry came today to go over the project. He told me what the project would entail, told me purchase the tiles by counting them and purchase one additional box. He said it would be on cement instead of mudding. I just wanted a regular ceramic tile floor. He was very nice and professional just too high end for what I wanted.

The job was awesome, it looks like I took this old 1947 tub out and put a new cast iron tub in. I would've spent $600.00 easy on the tub and another probably $1000.00 installing it. SO for the money and how it came out well worth it. He expalined everything and how he was going to do it and how it works. The tub looks amazing would never know that the tub is as old as it is. Thank You.

I purchased 2 of the Big Deal coupons for installing tiles. I paid more than the coupon price. When he came he said that it was not the right amount and I paid him $300 on top of it. So it was not exactly what it was reported to be. He was alright. But he wanted more money and I will not use it again since there is no guarantee that they would honor it or what their interpretation of it is. They came out once and looked at it and gave me an estimate and they had to do it since they already had the $300 and he could not walk away from that money. They had to finish the job. They were okay and did a good job. I had used Angies List before and had no problem with it, and got a roof out of it. It was $10000 job and it was pretty good. They were not very responsive. I don’t think I would use them again.

Dimitri came to my house which is under renovation and met with my wife. He came early for the time we setup which unfortunately me i ran late. He waited, came in and sat with my wife for over an hour and helped her with her decisions in doing the bathroom layout. He answered all her questions and mine. He told us everything he needed ready since i am doing the renovation myself. Dimitri has done work for us in the past and has exceeded my expectations. He is a great guy as well as excellent at what he does. Thank you...Dimitri.
