R&W Paving

I was very happy with them. I had used them previously to install our driveway. We have been pleased. They are very professional and pleasant to work with. The only issue I had was they were to bill us, but they never did, so I just sent them a check anyways.

R&W is very experienced and professional. They have the bases covered, and did an excellent job. The team came out in force on the day the new drive went in, and they got the job done in short order. There were a few asphalt chunks in the grass to clean up afterwards, but it was minimal, they really did a thorough job. During the busy season, an answering service takes calls and it can take some time to hear back from them, but don't let that deter you. They are friendly and professional. The price for a new driveway can seem daunting, but after comparison shopping we found their price to be the fair going rate. The main reason we went with R&W aside from Angie's List ratings, was that personally in speaking to them in depth about the process (which we did a number of times) we felt confident that they were capable of doing the job right. We felt a peace of mind that translated into a great experience and what is so far a solid driveway.

R and W was excellent to work with. We were re-doing our driveway and our neighbors were also interested in doing their driveway. They came to do the estimate at a time convenient to both of us and upon acceptance of the contract, handled everything from start to finish. From securing the required permits to removal of the old asphalt and installation of the new. They were extremely flexible with completing the job because we were involved with the Town of Greece in getting the sidewalks replaced prior to completing the installation of the driveway. Thus the total job took approx 1 month longer than normal due to the need to have the cement completely harden before completing the asphalt work. I'm sure this affected their scheduling, but they were more than happy to deal with it. The complete job cost was very competitive to other estimates received, plus they were also offering a coupon savings at the time.

R & W removed the old material while we were on vacation. When we returned, I noticed that one of the pine trim pieces for the garage door was cracked, but I did not notice it immediately. When I advised them that the trim was cracked, they said they would take care of it. The initial date for the new driveway was postponed because of street resurfacing, but it was rescheduled for the following week, and it was completed as scheduled. I wrote a check for the work at completion. A carpentar contacted me several days later to look at the damaged trim, and he made the repair within a reasonable time frame. The workers were efficient and courteous. I enjoyed watching them progress the job. .

Very well. Quick response time, plenty of lead time for the job to begin and end. I felt fully informed of their plans. We are very pleased with the results.

The driveway looks very good and they were quick, only taking about 1.5 hours to do it.The guys were friendly, taking an interest in my dog.They give a 3 year warrenty on driveway replacement, which I think is a good deal.

The quote was $6295. They didn’t have as good a solution for the problem in our driveway as the first two companies who had a better solution, R&W Paving had a more expensive solution.

Working with R&W was a pleasure throughout the entire proceess, from estimate to removal of old drive way and installation of new. Crews were on time, courteous, and very neat and efficient. Workmanship is first rate - for example, the edges of the new drive way are very straight even though they are manually created. I am extremely pleased with the results and the workmanship. In fact, we have had neighbors comment about how nice the new drive way looks. I would have this company do work for me again, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I made an appt. over the phone. They showed up on time,were professional and courtious. They made all stake out calls,did the job promptly.Their equiptment was in good condition and clean as were the workers. they did a great job. I have recommended them to others.

We were very happy with the service. They were very professional. I will defiantly contact them again. The office staff were also very professional.

Non-responsive. Left two detailed messages requesting an estimate. No response. Used another vendor but these folks sounded excellent. Called 2 other Angie's List vendors...highly rated. Oddly, none of these responded.

They had to pull up some existing concrete as well. That increased the price. I would recommend them. I have no gripes about them. The gentleman wrote the order incorrectly. The work crew didn't know that they were going to tear up the existing concrete. Once they got everything correct, they did a good job.

The overal process, from estimate to completion, went smoothly. The crew was punctual, pleasant, and willing to answer all our questions and handle all concerns we had. We will definitely use R&W Paving in the future and recommend them to family and friends. Everything was excellent!

They were very good actually, I was very happy with them and very pleased with their work. I thought they were very good. They were very professional.

From start to finish I am very happy, they came when they said they would, did the work efficiently, cleaned everything up and were very friendly and helpful.

We called and they came within 24 hours to give an estimate. Their estimate was right on. They guys were great. We had a couple small issues (I added a few things on after the fact and they were great about it. They came back twice (the first visit they grated it and waited a few weeks to come back and put the asphalt down). I was very happy with the service. I would definitely recommend them.

It went great, I was very impressed.

Everything went on schedule. After removing the old driveway and putting down the base they waited the appropiate amount of time to put down new asphalt. Crew was very careful to now get hot asphalt on the house and worked very quickly. Six months later and there is no issue with their work. Home owner does need to be flexible to be home for the paving portion of the process. You don't get much notice for when they are going to come. In gerneral a very professional operation and responsive to questions/concerns.

Everything went great. They came out when they said they would. Did the job according to the estimate and were very friendly. We love our new driveway and would recommend them to anyone.

I have seen some of their work around town and they look pretty good. They do seem to have very high prices. I have nothing to compare the price to though. They got me the estimate very quickly.

The person who came to give the estimate was on time, very professional and proved to be knowledgeable. I also liked the fact they scheduled the estimator to come out when I was available so I could speak with them personally. They were the only paving company to do that. The estimate was mid-range with competitor's quotes. They always called and gave a few days advanced notice when they were doing work so I could schedule time off from work. The first stage was they came and dug up my next door neighbor's existing asphalt, added stone, re-graded and rolled everything with a big vibratory steam roller. Then they came and re-graded my stone base and rolled it with the vibratory steam roller. It took them about 3-4 hours to do both driveways. They allowed everything to settle for about 2-1/2 weeks. Then they returned to do the paving. They again went over the stone with the vibratory roller, and then began laying the asphalt. At the very top and bottom of the driveway asphalt was spread and leveled by hand. The main driveway was done with a paving machine. The process was repeated at my neighbors house, and they rolled the driveway at least a half dozen times both by hand and with the steamroller. They finished both driveways in about 4 hours. They left both verbal and written instructions before leaving. I was also impressed that their equipment appeared well taken care of. The driveway looks great, and there's no puddles at all when it rains (my driveway has a pretty good slope to it though). I could probably nitpick a few minor details, but they're mostly things they did slightly differently than I had anticipated but there's nothing inherently wrong with. The only thing that struck me as odd during the whole process was they wanted to put one of the steamrollers inside my garage before they started (they said it made things easier for them), so I had to move a bunch of stuff out of the garage for that. They give a 3 year warranty on new driveways, so that's just some extra piece of mind in case a problem does come up in the future.

Everything went fine. Called to verify date and time a day before and arrived half hour early. Finished the job in about 50 minutes. No mess left behind.

I called RW and they were very responsive. A gentleman came to my house and gave me an estimate within a fews days. The estimate was about $800.00 less than the closest estimate. They started the job within a week. They dug up the pavement and put down the stone. They had my wife and I drive on it for two weeks and then they put the blacktop down. They did a great job. It looks great and the service was awesome!

When I signed the contract, I listed all of the dates that it would not be possible to have R&W perform the removal and paving work, due to our erratic work schedules. Those dates were respected. I believe the woman booking the jobs is called Karen - she was GREAT!!! Very accommodating and polite.
