From the person that came to the house to give the estimate, to the crews that did the paving, all were very professional and did an excellent job. The office called us back whenever we left a message and kept us informed throughout each step of the process. The crews were very polite and professional, and answered all our questions. They did exactly what was stated in the contract. Our driveway looks great. All our neighbors have commented on how nice it looks. I would absolutely recommend R & W Paving to neighbors and friends looking to have their driveway replaced.

Very well. They helped with good advice on the best configuration for the driveway. They removed some small trees, graded the area perfectly, and provided a 6" to 8" layer of stone for drainage, followed by a 2-1/2" asphalt layer. Prompt and professional

R&W kept to their timeline. They managed traffic on my busy street. Professional job by all accounts.

The job was not completed. They forgot to do the job last summer AND forgot again this summer. When calling I only get the answering service. The company has not returned any calls since last fall. I called the cell phone of one of the companies employees at the end of this summer. He was very apologetic and told me he would take care of the job. I have heard nothing since. I left a message on his cell called the answering service one more time and still nothing. It may have taken me two years to get the message but clearly they don't want my business.

Kevin and the guys from R&W Paving did a great job on my driveway. So far, so good. It's still less than a week since it was installed, but it looks fantastic. The crew dug out my old driveway in mid-June, then placed new gravel and had us drive on it for more than 4 weeks. I got a call two days in advance of when they wanted to come to place the asphalt (2.5 inches deep, rolled) so I could make sure the driveway was cleared off and that I had alternate parking arrangements. All calls go through an answering service, so there is a wait to get a call back. But they were responsive to my calls. All in all, nice job. Price was fair for the work to be done and size of driveway.

I first searched Angie's List and read several reviews of driveway companies to determine the 'top 3'. I quickly heard back from both R&W and B&M to setup a date for an estimate. Magic Seal didn't even return my call for over 4 weeks so apparently they had enough business and helped me narrow down to 2 choices. Both estimates were very close in $ terms, but I felt more comfortable with the way Kevin described the work, and they had a longer warranty of 3 years. The details... 9/30/14 Kevin came to my house, explained their process, asked about my concerns and then took some measurements. My old driveway had deep ruts from my truck so that was a concern and I also had a large puddle at end of my old driveway which I wanted to avoid. Kevin explained they like to tear out the old driveway, install and compact crushed stone and drive on it for a couple weeks to make sure it's fully settled before applying asphalt. He also described how he'd build up towards the end of my driveway to prevent the large rain puddles. I also wanted my front cement pad trimmed flush and extend the driveway about a foot. Kevin was patient and described the quality of their work. 4/21/15 It was getting too late in the season and I didn't want to chance winter came too soon so I held off until Spring for the old driveway to be dug up and install and compact the crushed stone. I left work to check in on the progress and by the time I got home, they were almost done. 5/11/15 Driveway was checked for grade, compacted and asphalt applied. I left work to check on progress and they were just finishing by the time I arrived home. They worked fast but efficient and the driveway looked great, my dad and I were impressed! I followed their instructions and didn't drive on it for over a week. Now, 6 months later it still looks great. There are no depressions from my truck, and I love not having a huge puddle at the end of the driveway. Yes, I waited a while to write a review but this was my first time using Angie's List and it was a good experience. The quality of the their work will mean I won't be replacing it again for many, many years so until then, I'd recommend R&W to anyone who needs a new driveway!

Initially I scheduled the driveway paved job on July 28, 2015. They never showed up to do the excavating until September 10. And they only showed up because I relentlessly left messages for them to call me back, They do not due to the phone you have to leave a message with an answering service and they were very sparse in getting back to me after 5 PM. They showed up to do the excavating and told me that we would be a couple weeks to settle and then they would pave a couple weeks went by a month went by and two months went by and no one ever contacted me. I called several times to get it scheduled time the blue off both scheduled appointments and then had the nerve to call me two days later to reschedule again. I had to call and leave a message with their answering service that I was firing them and that they need not show up to complete the work. I received a strange message from them that they were putting my contract on hold. I guess they are not familiar with the word fired

They were great. They are nice people. They were very accommodating. They were here on time.

I've called three times (August 6, 13, 17) and left messages with their answer service. No one from R&W Paving has bothered to call me back. I guest business must be very good indeed. Very disappointed.

They did an outstanding job. Even though the work was done in 2007 I was so impressed I felt they deserved a review. I was not a member of Angie's List back then and am not sure there was an Angie's List then so this is belated but merited. They were punctual, neat, professional and able to figure out some challenging architectural obstacles. The driveway still looks great eight years down the road. One of the workers placed a piece of equipment on the newly finished driveway that made a round depression in the surface. I called the office and they were back the next morning to make the repair and it was so well done you would never know it happened. Things can always go wrong and for me the real test is how the company responds when something does go wrong. This company installed a new driveway for me back in the 1970's at my old home and I was so pleased with them that I sought them out in 2007. That is a long time and I wasn't sure they would still be as good but they absolutely were. Over the past 40 years as a homeowner I have had many sad, infuriating and frustrating experiences with contractors and when I find one that leaves me feeling happy I need to tell about it. Excellent! They came out to give estimate, gave me a time frame, told me about a coupon for new customers, came just as scheduled. They were courteous on site and in office. And best of all they did a wonderful job for a reasonable price!!! Highly recommend this company I've already gave a friend the number!!

First, my apologies to Gary for my missing my appointment with him for the estimate. He went ahead and did the estimate without me (which I very much appreciate) and left it for me to review. (As information, the final bill was right with the estimate). All work done was completely professional and courteous, and was done right on schedule. I would definitely choose to use their services again for any future paving project.

It went really well. They did a beautiful job! We were extremely please with the work that they did. I have recommended this company to other and we would definitely use them again in the future!

I waited to long to call and had it done at the end of the season for driveways. They had a back log of a month and it has to sit for a month after the stone is put down. My drive is so nice very flat a half a day for the stone and one day to but in new driveway. They have a 3 year warranty were other places would not give me a set time. The only thing is they told me they would be there on one day and then called at end of that day and said they would be coming two days later. I would use them again if I needed another driveway.

After 3 weeks and repeated attempts to contact them about getting this estimate, they came over Aug 6th to give me a written estimate and tell me what was wrong with my driveway. I accepted estimate and I haven't heard from them since, despite repeated attempts to get a hold of them.

R&W Paving was very responsive to my needs. When I first called them I talked to a very pleasant lady who was taking messages. Karen called me later that day to schedule a time for Kevin to come out and write us a estimate. Kevin was wonderful to talk to about my options. There was a hole in the driveway that needed to be filled ASAP. Once Kevin left I called R&W Paving requesting them to send me a contract for me to sign. Karen returned my call and we discussed the: contract, filling of the hole with gravel prior to us going on vacation and scheduling the existing asphalt removal for when we returned from vacation. Within a few days Kevin returned and filled in the hole. Once we returned from vacation I talked to Karen about adding to the contact the optional work that Kevin and I talked about during the original walk through. On June 23rd the two gentlemen from the R&W Paving 'Removal of Existing Asphalt' crew did a wonderful job with the saw cutting across the driveway, along with the edging of the grass and adding/compaction rolling of the stone. On Aug 27th the R&W Paving crew finished off the job with 3 beautifully paved areas (front TearOff Section and two patch areas).

Accepted quote 6/20/14 Waiting for contract in the mail. Returned signed contract. Excavation is scheduled for July 1, 2014 Called twice to get the date. Received a call saying they would be here between 10 am and 1pm -NO SHOW Got a call about 2:30 pm saying they will now be here July 3rd "First thing" 7:30 am Excavation crew arrived on time July 3rd and removed the old asphalt and put down a layer of stone which all went very well. They also buried my pet containment wire which I had prepared in 3/4" PVC pipe. Waited 2 weeks for stone to settle. They put down the asphalt 7/29/14. Took about 3-4 hrs. Looks great, even and smooth. Didn't park on it for 2 weeks

I can't say enough GOOD things about our experience with this company; we highly recommend them! They responded within 24 hours to my initial email request for a quote and Kevin was on our doorstep within the next 24 hours. We found Kevin to be straightforward and plainspoken. We felt he was honest and trustworthy. No flim flam, no "fast talking", no using technical jargon that would be understood only if you worked in the business, etc. He answered all our questions in a simple, easy to understand manner and was friendly, respectful, and professional. We really felt good about the initial meeting. We thought it was a good sign that no monies were expected in advance, and that the company would expect full payment upon completion of the job to ensure that we were satisfied with the work. We also were impressed they offered a 3 year guarantee on the job they did. To compare, I had gathered quotes from half a dozen companies for this project and they all offered only a ONE year guarantee. Considering the job was going to be thousands of dollars, we thought that a company should be willing to stand behind their work longer than a year! Communication was excellent with this company. Once we signed the contract and sent it back, we got a phone call telling us what day & time they would be here to start the project (removing the existing driveway & putting down the crusher stone). They showed up on time, were lovely people, got to work, and were done in a few hours. Here's another thing we loved about this company ...after they put down the stone and rolled it, they don't come back for 3 or 4 weeks to finish. This allows time for the stone to settle and you're compacting it down by driving on it as you usually would over the next few weeks. Then when they come back, they re-grade again to make sure everything is as it should be before they put down the asphalt. The day they came back to finish the job, they brought several men to work on it (again, all lovely people!), and once it was finished, and they were sure we were happy (and boy, were we ever!), we gave them our check for the full amount. The gentleman in charge gave us a flyer with written instructions as to how to take care of the driveway (no walking on it for 24 hours, no driving for 7 days, etc.). From start to finish, this company exceeded our expectations and we've been telling everyone what a great experience this has been. We've even gotten compliments from a neighbor about how "scrumptious" (yes, that was the word used) our driveway looks! Bottom line: We highly recommend R&W and can't thank them enough for making this a pleasant, harmonious, and happy experience!

An outstanding experience from the first contact/phone call to the completion of the project! All individuals involved where polite and informative from the first contact to the completion of the job. The work was carried out in a very professional and timely manner with great attention to details. I am very satisfied with the results and the high quality of work performed by R&W paving. We contacted several paving companies for quotes. Some didn't even talk with us, but merely looked at it and send it by mail. Our first contact with R & W was very pleasant. Karen scheduled our appointment and Gary came out on time as promised. He went over everything in detail and answered all of our questions. My husband has some background in this area and felt confident they would serve us well. Our driveway was completed today and R & W did a FABULOUS job. They completely removed the old and laid a layer of crushed stones..... after 5-6 weeks they came today and added another layer, leveled it and poured the blacktop. Gary actually did a lot of the work. He and his staff were extremely professional and respectful of our property. They left us instructions on dos and don'ts for the upcoming year along with regular maintenance suggestions. We would highly recommend R & W to anyone looking to replace or repave their driveway. You won't be disappointed!!!!!!

Kevin from R&W showed up on time for the quote. Very thorough and very prescriptive telling me what grade of asphalt to use and how the installation should be done. Not the least expensive but definitely the most detailed quote of the work to be performed. They came on time on 9/30 and tore out the old driveway and installed crushed stone and did a preliminary grading. After driving on the crushed stone for several weeks they came (on time) and laid down the new driveway. Incredible machinery and a team of about 5 or 6 guys. Hard working, attention to detail, and very courteous. I have recommended R&W to MANY people and will continue to do so. The driveway looks FANTASTIC and their workmanship shows.
