I was able to schedule two days after first phone call. Could not have been happier with thier service. They performed routine maintence and explained the entire system to me. (this is our first winter in a new home). They went above and beyond what I expectd! Could not recommend highly enough.

I had just moved into this home and was not getting enough hot water or good water pressure. I wanted the system evaluated to see what could be done to improve my situation. I knew the boiler needed to be replaced but had just moved in and was hoping it would last the winter. Chris knew exactly what to do and assured me he could fix both the pressure and hot water problem. He was very patient with me in explaining what my options were and always returned phone calls promptly as I did my own research into getting educated about what I was about to purchase. For me this was a big ticket item and a major investment into this house. I did not get any other estimates (I know you are supposed to). Chris is such a professional I felt very comfortable trusting his expertise and judgment. In the end I went with his recommendations and have had no regrets. He delivered everything he said he would. I now have what seems an endless supply of hot water and good water pressure. For me, " Priceless" , especially in winter. Chris was always on time, if not a little early. Always conducted himself as a consumate professional, as did anyone in his employ. They cleaned up as if they had not even been here and this job ran over in anticipated completion time by approximately four hours. I was not charged any additional monies for the run over. Being new to the area I was clueless who to call. Now I consult your referral service for any and all providers. I can honestly say I highly recommend CJ Heating & Air Conditioning. I had these guys come out this past October to do a cleaning on my coils for our boiler. He was fantastic. Extremely personable and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend using them.

Chris' first visit to my house was to troubleshoot my air conditioning unit, which was freezing up several times per week. I gave him a short history of several other companies and their "diagnosis" or lack thereof, and he went to work on the problem. I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered each one. I have an old house, and the problem has turned out to be complex, due to the separate installations of my furnace and central AC unit using the original forced air duct work. There were times during the process when I had to make choices about what to try next. Chris explained each option, including the cost, the benefits to me, and the likelihood that it would solve the problem. This was no small feat considering I knew very little about how heating & air conditioning systems worked. So far, he has completed a regular maintenance service on my furnace, has moved the main supply ducts from the middle of the basement ceiling over to near the wall (my request), sealed and wrapped/insulated all of the supply ducts, and upgraded the blower motor on the furnace from 1/4 hp to 3/4 hp (to improve air flow over the coils and through the ducts). While completing the duct work, Chris was testing the new blower motor and it kept overheating/shutting off, so he had to uninstall it and put back the old one. He did not charge me for the new blower motor or the installation fee- we discussed and agreed on a small labor charge which was more than fair to me since he also cleaned up and serviced the old motor while he had it out. He was on time for appointments, and always called ahead if there were any problems keeping the appointment date/time, so I always knew what to expect. He is the owner and was on-site every time. They finished the work during the time frame promised, and cleaned up completely afterward. Both he and his assistant did a very thorough job, and did not rush to "get it done". I am now using this company for the annual servicing of my furnace and air conditioning units, and would highly recommend them to anyone. It's not easy to find a company that does quality work for a reasonable price! Although the cold weather has put additional troubleshooting of the AC system on temporary hold, after seeing the results of his work so far - I am certain that Chris will be able to find and fix the "freeze-up" problem in the spring.

We now have our new system and it?s running flawlessly. I can say nothing but good things about CJ Heating. If there were any glitches or he didn?t know the answer right then, he just kept at it until the issue was resolved, including untold hours on the phone with the support people for the equipment. He also dealt with the lack of a good crawl space. They literally dug with shovels and a wheelbarrow trenches under our floor in order to install the new ducting. Based on the time and effort they put in, I know that the original proposal was not going to cover the cost of it all. I kept saying that we would renegotiate it, but he stuck to the cost and delivered a great product with no overruns. Just as a side, it was really a pleasure to have Chris and his people here. There were always very courteous and very helpful. Actually, we really had a good time joking around with them. They are a unique bunch and I?m certainly happy that we ran across them. Oh and yes, if they were scheduled to be here and couldn?t make it for some reason, they were right on the phone so that we knew exactly what was going on at all times. I highly recommend them.

Chris was right on time, finished quickly, got everything in working order, was very professional. Also came back when we had an extinguished pilot on a water heater--didn't charge for that followup visit. Also gave us advice on what appears to be a bad water meter that's the responsibiility of the city.

Chris listened to what I wanted done and told me how best he could do it. He did a great job, completed it when he said he would, and for the price he quoted. I supplied the fixtures and he provided the professional workmanship. He was a pleasure to work with.

He did a better job than anybody has ever done. He told me everything he had done and showed me things that need to be done with my furnace. He came on time. The price was right and I appreciated the discount for being with Angie's List. He was very friendly and professional.

Called Chris after seeing all the great reviews. I needed to have my furnace serviced for the winter. Chris was very easy to set an appointment with, punctual, thorough and a excellent value. I will be using CJ going forward for all my heating, cooling and plumbing needs!

He told me that I needed a new furnace but never ended up following up with an estimate.

Chris arrived the day edger we had all the rain from Tropical Storm Lee. The conditions of the road made him late. He made sure his assistant contacted us before the appointed time so we would know that he was running late. He also called from the road to make sure we knew he was going to be late. He still arrived within 20 minutes of the appointed time. After doing some simple work he realized the problem was much smaller than we thought. All we needed to do was replace the filter. He went out and got one for us and made sure that was the problem. He could have easily charged us for something big but he was very honest and friendly. We are now considering using him for our furnace and water heateing maintenance... We would definitely recommend him to anyone...

Great experience. Chris and team did an excellent job from beginning to end. His initial consultation was expert and he took the time to ensure we understood the options available to us. His estimate was prepared promptly and his pricing was extremely competitive. Once we signed off on the project Chris sourced the equipment quickly and was in the next week to start our install. Everything went incredibly smoothly, his team were a pleasure and Chris made sure to involve us as the project progressed. Initially quoted as 3 days work it ended up taking a few hours longer than expected, due only to them going above and beyond to ensure the job was done right the first time. As a small bonus, when we settled up Chris let me know it had cost a couple of hundred dollars less than expected and knocked that off the balance. To sum up this was about the most perfect contractor experience I have ever had, and I would use CJ heating again without any hesitation at all.

Overall completely satisfied with work completed and services. Chris was awesome, provided options and professional guidance.

These guys are excellent. Chris responded to each of my calls quickly, and was able to make appointments appropriately. He and his assistants were very professional, courteous, and competent. Chris took a lot of time talking with me about various aspects of my heating system, which is old and strange and hadn't had a plumber's visit for many years. Their work is of a high quality and their fees were fair. I will not hesitate to call CJ again.

He's a good communicator, he's on time and he's reasonable. The price is not very low or high.

This is a top notch heating and AC company with a great owner (who also does the work) to back it up. Price was good and better then the other estimates from bigger companies. Chris returned my calls within the hour if he did not pick up the first time. Work was done within days of signing the contract and the installation was clean and professional. We left our house open for Chris and his helper and when we returned it looked like they weren't even there, very very clean and trustworthy guys. Would highly recommend.

He responded to my phone call quickly and arrived when he said he would, even though his wife had just had a baby. He checked the wiring, charged the system, and changed the filter. Everything worked fine thereafter. I was very impressed and will use this contractor again with NO reservation!!!
