 + -1 moreCalled at noon for a phone estimate and they had a technician at my door by 4PM that day. Christian was on time and assessed that yellow jackets were getting behind a wall and into the interior ceiling by entering the roof's soffit region. To begin with after removing his shoes to enter the house, he used a stethoscope to check the activity of the bees behind the walls. Christian explained that the most effective way to attack the problem would be to treat the interior first by opening two very small holes in the ceiling so that he could treat behind the walls. Once the very small holes were made with an awl, he used a tiny straw nozzle to inject the treatment (no mess whatsoever to the interior of the house) to kill the majority of the bees behind the wall and in the ceiling. He spackled the two small holes that were made and then proceeded to treat the outside where the yellow jackets were entering. Using an extension pole outside to reach the roof soffit, he then dispensed a dry chemical into the opening such that the remaining worker bees returning to the nest would carry in the chemical to the rest of the nest. The bill matched the preliminary phone estimate; also credit card payments accepted. He then explained the treatment is warranted until the end of this year. If for whatever reason the bee problem lingers after 4-5 days, he told me to call back and they would followup with another visit (no charge). Excellent professional and courteous service. I would consider investing in their spring service next year to treat the entire exterior of the house as a preventive measure for bees entering the house. Great service.

 + -1 moreThe BugMan came and sprayed both the exterior of my garage and house for carpenter bees as I'd had a problem with carpenter bees outside of my garage but I had him spray the exterior of the house as well. Plus I got the guarantee that's good til December so if I have any problems, they come back no questions asked. I've seen a few carpenter bees but they've since gone away so I haven't needed to call them back.

There wasn't any need to put more bait down today on the free follow up visit, so Leroy listened carefully and was very pleased that there were NO more ants anywhere and was pleased that he did a great job putting the bait down originally. I am very pleased with the outcome and will use them in the future, although I hope not for bedbugs or bees in the house!
Description of Work: Leroy returned for a follow up visit today to be sure the ants were gone, and they were. He didn't need to put any more bait down. The office had called me to let me know that they wanted to schedule a free follow up visit about 2 weeks after the first visit, so that is why Leroy came today.

 + -1 moreI called them and got an estimate over the phone and they were able to send Leroy (whom I recommend highly) out within a day. Leroy arrived right on time and was fantastic. He put the ant bait in many different places both inside and out, and explained what he was doing. He explained how the bait would work and how my 5 cats would not be harmed from the bait. He also caulked a few open spots that he saw. The best thing was that he gives you your money's worth and more. He loves to educate people on what he is doing-he has been at the bug business for 30 years. After he left, it only took maybe 3 days and I saw not one carpenter ant on the house siding or the porch, and in the 3 weeks since, I still have not seen one ant, NOT ONE. The thief ants in the kitchen were gone after a day or so; fortunately there were only a few of those in the kitchen. Leroy put a small tab of the bait on the siding well away from where the cats could reach and I watched an ant come and eat from the bait. In a day or so that bait was gone and I knew the workers were carrying it back to the nest to feed the colony. The great thing is that the baits he put down will last a year, so I don't need to worry about carpenter ants coming back till next summer.

 + 0 moreI had woodchuck burrows in my yard and woodchucks eating my flowers. Leroy has removed 4 woodchucks so far. We haven't removed mama woodchuck yet, but I haven't seen any woodchucks all week so perhaps she has relocated herself. Planning to remove the traps and close the burrows this weekend. Leroy is really dedicated and very knowledgeable about critters and horticulture. Comes by every day to check the traps. Couldn't ask for better service.

 + -1 moreOnly negative was that the animal was trapped around 10 am according to my yard maintenance service, and I called around noon to report that we had trapped the raccoon. At 6 pm I checked to be sure they had gotten him and found him still there. I called and got the after hours service and told them how i was very upset they would wait so long to release him as he he had been trapped for 8 hours. The "Bugman" called me back within 10 minutes very apologetic and was there within 15 minutes of that call to retrieve raccoon.
Description of Work: Sprayed for wasps and spiders outside only. So far it has worked fine. Also had him trap a raccoon that was living under our shed.

 + -1 moreIt was a very positive experience. I had found a giant spider in my basement (Probably a wolf spider). Spiders don't really bother me, but a giant one was more than I could take. He came the next day and I haven't seen any spiders since then. He came back later to spray around the outside of the house in order to prevent any visitors from the outside. I am very happy.

I received a call back right away after leaving a message, and was able to receive my quote right over the phone, based on the square footage of my house. I did shop for prices, and their quote was right in line with the others. I chose this company based on the fact that they were in business for a long time, the ratings on Angie's List, and the fact that they said their expertise was with bees/wasps. I was able to schedule an appointment for them to come within the next few days. The technician was right on time (a little early, but it was better for us that he was), and was very professional and polite. My husband was able to show him where we seemed to be having a large concentration of wasps. The technician was knowledgeable, and very, very thorough. We have not seen a wasp since that day. We will definitely use this company again, and highly recommend them to others.

A technician came out within a day or two, which was perfect due to the situation. The technician was a bit early, which was great. He was extremley knowledgeable and friendly. Taught me about the ants, where they were entering, and even demonstrated how the gel works. Within hours the ants were all around the gel and baited, and within one or two days they were completely gone. The technician was helpful. We were pleased with this service.

The plaster area where the wasps had tunneled into the garage had a small ugly hole where they'd come in, and after making sure the wasps were dead, the Bug Man plugged this hole and sealed it so it looked as good as new--saved me a spackle job. I was extremely satisfied with the service--and even picked up some tips about using a long arm painters pole to reach the peaks where nests were forming. A+++
Description of Work: We had a severe problem with wasps in 2 locations, and they were burrowing into the garage from their nest under the eaves. Our efforts to subdue them were fruitless--we couldn't reach them with our sprays, which were largely ignored by them. I called Bug Man and they said they would have someone there later in the day. The Bug Man sprayed all areas and powdered around the area so any returning insects would take insecticide in. He also knocked several nests out of my eaves without charge.

 + -1 moreI think Mark has done a great job and represented the company very well. Should I ever need to get rid of more bees I would call this company first.
Description of Work: we had some peskey bees of sorts - yellow jackets and carpenter bees in two nests. The yellow jackets were in a hedge beside our garage and some what accessible. The bees were not so accessible as they had taken up nesting in a cement block in the foundation just under the siding on our garage. Mark arrived I showed him the locations. He asked me to go inside as I have an allergic reaction to a bee sting and he said they would not be happy bees in a little bit. He was able to destroy the yellow jacket nest pretty easily and only got stung once or twice. He then went to work on the bees but because of the location it was more difficult. After completing the job he advised me to watch to see if they were gone in a couple of days. The yellow jackets went away and never came back. The bee however were quite sneaky, the disappeared for a while but then came back and we had to have Mark come again. This time he was able to dig some more dirt away from the foundation and he got them good. It has been about two weeks; there are two dead bees there not sure where they came from inside or outside, but I have not seen any activity there for awhile. The last time they stayed away for about a month before coming back. I am hoping that with the weather changing and Mark's efforts they are gone. And by the way there was no charge for the second visit...they stand by their guarantee. The bees did return again but this time only a few and when they flew in to their hiding place the did not come out and when they did they died just out side their hole. I am confident that they are gone for good this time. Mark did a fantastic job and it wias not one of those easy cake walk jobs. I would use this company again in a second if the bees return. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs to encourge bees to find another place in the woods or in the country.

Description of Work: I had a serious bee problem. I had bees coming into the house where the framing meets the fire place bricking, they were nesting somewhere in the wall.The service man sprayed from inside and then went outside and sprayed. The first try reduced there numbers a lot / but not completely. This had me calling the company back for a second spraying that finished them off. I like they're policy of no questions asked if the problem isn't solved the first time. Once resolved, being allergic I couldn't thank them enough for staying with my problem to the end.

He actually came and drilled in the walls of the house and sprayed inside the walls. He then covered the holes with putty to close them off. He was very congenial and came back as soon as he could to resolve the issue.

She gave us a basic estimate and explained everything in detail; we were able to get an appointment the same day. The Technician arrived on time, did the assessment, gave us the confirmed cost (which was the same as the phone estimate) and within an hour had the treatment complete. He was also very pleasant and knowledgeable. He gave us helpful hints and detailed explanation of how bees react so that we can avoid future problems. Very pleased with this service. Will recommend this service to family, neighbors and friends.

Just recently, noticed some bee/wasp activity occurring around a second story gutter, along the roof line. Bug Man covers all follow-up calls with their guarantee, so we were not charged for this service call ... can't beat that! They are great people; easy to deal with, prompt, courteous, and professional. This was our second season using their service. Would not hesitate to use again ... highly recommend them for all your pest control needs.
