Description of Work: Did exactly what was agreed to. Work was done efficiently and clean up was excellent. As often can happen with construction, an issue arose that was not apparent until porch was taken apart. The problem was solved at a very low cost and was more than reasonable.

I received a detailed estimate the same day as well as some consultation on what he believed to be the most critical areas of need around my brick home. I was so happy with the conversation and the comfort level with his advice that I did not get another estimate, so I could not comment of how good or bad the cost was. But what i can comment on is that the work was scheduled within a couple weeks of the estimate. The guys showed up on time and worked during one of the hottest weeks this summer. The work was completed on time and at estimate and it was great. The sills and pointing look fantastic and it could not have gone better. When I need my porch done next, they will get the call.

They started the work right away removing a few blocks and repositioning them (they weren't in correctly) and tuck pointed around the entire home. Once done they cleaned up around the home. Workman were very professional and friendly

+ -1 moreThe project went well and took about half a day. Challenges occurred while the crew worked around dense shrubbery located beneath the sills and in front of the porch. However, the crew had a technique of pulling the shrubs away from the work area using a thick hemp rope. In the end, the shrubs were not harmed. I thought their price was a little high, but the quality of workmanship was very good.
Description of Work: The Magic Stone crew replaced a second story, exterior 6" sandstone windowsill on my home They ground and re-pointed four additional sills and sealed tops of sills with silicone. They also performed tuckpoint on left, right, and side of my home's brick porch and a portion of the adjoining exterior wall. The Magic Stone crew cleaned up the work area and hauled away all debris when project was complete.

+ 0 moreI am happy that the work was completed in the time as agreed upon, despite rain and various other gremlins thar plague most projects. All debrie was removed and the area left in an acceptable manner. My judgment is that this group of workmen, as many as 9 at times, are talented, dedicated to the task, and demonstrate pride if workmanship. I am pleased to recommend them for this work.
Description of Work: After living in our house for approximately 42 years it was time to pay attention to the condition of the exterior masonry. The required work consisted of repair or replacement of front stairs, side stairs leading up a hill, retaining walls of rear pit, replacement of steps leading into pit,and resetting of stone walls along both sides of front driveway. My requirements were to preserve natural weathered appearance of all repairs and to do all work within a three day period. After presenting and signing an appropriate work order out-lining the work to be done, the front stairs were removed and replaced using new matching brick, metal supports and poured concrete steps. The side stairs consisting of 7 steps were completely removed and replaced with concrete reinforced rebar and finished with original stone steps having been cleaned of old mortar and reused. The walls of the pit were completely removed, the original stones saved and cleaned of old mortar, and set aside. A new cinder block retaining wall was constructed with rebar and "S" high strength mortar into original footing, Proper drainage was provided and the original stones reapplied for aesthetics using tinted mortar. The original steps leading to the pit were also replaced.The stones along the driveway were set aside, driveway widened and original stones were replaced.
