About us

Custom Security and Communication Systems, Inc. is a dynamic, locally owned and operated business. Its president, Norm Bauman, began learning the business at his fathers knee, assisting his dad with alarm installation since age ten. In the early 1980s, Norm also worked for other security companies across New York State, gathering knowledge and honing his techniques. Seeing a need for reliable installation methods and more individualized customer service, he formed his own company, Custom Security Systems, in 1984.

Norm went above and beyond to mount our tv perfectly and wouldn t leave until everything looked perfect! One inch of center, he made sure to take the tv down and remount it even when I didn t notice! Definitely worth the money!! We look forward to working with him again!

We used Custom Security and Communications Systems for a roof antenna install, as well as wall TV mounting and related wiring work for several rooms. Norm was fantastic! He was easy to reach, he was responsive, he knew his stuff and clearly explained options. He and his assistant showed up when he said they would and got the job done thoroughly and professionally.

Norm is a great professional and did my antenna install quickly and we ended up going from 20 to 56 channels coming in. He tested and made sure everything with the TV worked and provided information on other products and services offered.
