I was told that I had mold and mildew in my air handler and ducts. i would need to get a whole new AC system. I got a second opinion who said i needed a new air handler. I got a third opinion who found insulation in the air handler that was dirty. they tightened up the system and all was well

To start, we signed up for Jones and quot;Extra Privilege Agreementand quot; which means that if we call them because heating or A/C has stopped working, they will come the same day even if others are ahead of us. Of course, we pay for this privilege, and it also entitles us to a free tune-up each year for heating and A/C as well as discounts on parts, etc. We have found that Jones is very punctual and courteous. Their workers are very polite, knowledgeable, and always able to diagnose and fix whatever goes wrong with our furnace or central A/C. We have gas baseboard heating, and the house was built in 2001. That being said, a lot of things have gone wrong with our furnace over the years because there are so many new gauges, pressure relief valves, safety valves, etc. that didn't exist on old furnaces. That means there are more things that can go wrong with the furnace. Jones did not install the furnace so I can't blame them for what goes wrong, but as I said, when things go wrong, Jones fixes it quickly and efficiently. My main concern with Jones, and I honestly don't know if it's a fair concern, is that they are very expensive. I looked up a part on the internet after they replaced it to see how much it cost. The part cost $55., but Jones charged me over $493 to replace it. I have not used other companies so I can't compare what the markup would be with other companies, but it just seems like everytime we use Jones for a repair, it costs us several hundred dollars. In concluding, I guess it's a decision between being confident the job will be done right and the cost. I would rather a repair be done right the first time, and Jones does that. Again, they are expensive, but maybe that's the price you pay for service.

Went well. They were there from 8.00am to about 8:00PM. Did a very competent job. They must have. The heater is still working. The installers were first rate, competent, professional. They explained everything to me. I would use again.

They do everything and the guy was knowledgeable. He was also professional. Their prices are outrageous. They tried to do high pressure sales. I would not use them again.

Had a minor issue with toilet they installed a few months ago and called their office. They sent someone out immediately and fixed the issue. No charge, as was under warranty. They are not the cheapest in the area, but they are always very professional and polite and they do quality work.

It was terrible. Had to call somebody else in. They polluted our well it was a real mess.

We did not have any heat or hot water. I had an idea of what the problem could be, but did not have time to look into it, plus I could be wrong. We did not have a local plumber. I had gotten one of their cards in the mail, (which included a small discount) so I gave them a go. When I called I was told there was a $99.00 service call, which I did not have a problem with. I should have asked what it covered. Because it covers nothing. It is just to walk in the front door. There is another charge to look into the problem. It took about 10 minute to find the problem. The charge for that was about $250.00, and it would be about $800 to repair. I had idea of what the problem could be and I checked online for the cost of the part. The part online was about $150.00. I know online parts cost less, but the difference was just to great! I asked why so much. The plumber agreed the price was high, but that was what they charge. So I would be paying $99.00 service call, $250.00 for diagnostic and $800.00 for parts and labor. Although we had no heat, this was way too much. After talking it over I was offered a 1 year service contract for another $99.00. which would also lower my overall total about $50.00. because I now had a service contract. I could call them for 1 year and not pay the $99.00 service, and get a free cleaning. I turned them down and payed the $99.00 service call and the 10 minute $250.00 diagnostic fee. In the end I was able to get a referral to another plumber and it cost about $350.00 for parts and labor, it took about 30 minute to repair. Later I did talk to the owner of the company, and after telling him what I thought of his company, he did offer to give me back my money, which never came, and I had to call after about a month to try and get it back. which I did.

They are good. I like their quality of work and their professionalism of their workers. I would use them again.

Great! Val, Steve, and Matt were all fantastic. Work was completed within two days. Val and Steve had the units and exterior completed day one on all 4 units. Day two they had all the unit lines and condenser installed and running by 3/4pm. Matt completely upgraded out panel and organized the electrical wires on day 2 after we decided at the end of day 1 that we wanted Jones to complete the work. Labeled everything accordingly in perfect print...better writing than myself. We were only without power for 4/5 hours and being 9 months pregnant it made a world of difference to only be out of power for a short period of time. Jones was also accommodating with scheduling. Tim the rep who gave us the quote and estimate was also fantastic. He was able to schedule us within 2-3 days of receiving the deposit...which again being 9 months pregnant with a mini heat wave in a few days made a world of difference. They are a bit more expensive than other competitors...as we received quotes from 4 other companies....but I can not see getting this level of service, accommodations, or knowledgable staff else where. We are extremely happy to have gone with Jones. Val, Steve, and Matt are always welcome to be assigned to complete work at our home. Hopefully for our next project we can request them. :)

We had an issue with boiler which other companies could not find the cause. They had someone come down and explained in detail what the problem was. and fixed it. they were very professional although a bit pricey. but i would probably call them again.

The expansion tank of my boiler sprung a leak sometime during the night. My utility room was flooded. I got the Yellow pages and looked for people who were geared for emergency repairs. I chose Jones Heating and Plumbing. The tech came fairly quickly and examined my system and the obvious problem I was having. I was advised that in addition to the replacement of the expansion tank I really should have the system cleaned and tuned. The cost for this work would be approx. $863.00. I was offered a chance to sign for a maintenance contract for around $1300.00 which I declined. Since they were there and I had to pay a non-refundable $90.00 visit fee anyway and since I was still flooding - I had the work done. I have to say that the tech was very thorough and competant and did a good job. But I think that the cost for this work was way too expensive. In the future - even if I have an emergency - I will get someone else to take care of the problem.

Called Jones Heating and Plumbing about my toilet backing up, company was responsive and came out the same day. The contractor they sent dealt with my wife as she was home at the time, before I knew it I had a new toilet installed even though my initial issue was still unresolved, but I had a new toilet. Upon further evaluation Jones Heating and Plumbing advised that the main sewer pipe is clogged and needs to be replaced, it is Orangeburg pipe and is prone to deteriorating over time. He advises of a high dollar figure and that it could be more because it looks like they will have to go all the way out into the street. Given the sense of urgency we were feeling, we went ahead and advised to start getting everything together in order to begin the job. We paid a deposit that was more than half of what the total job was going to be, I am still trying to understand why we did that and why they request it. The next day came and we said we'd better get a second opion. I calld Jones Heating and Plumbing to advise on holding off, until we had a second opinion. I left several calls and never received a call back until the end of the day, meanwhile the second opinion I got was more knowedgeable in the sewer field and dealt distinctly with sewer drain pipe issues. His price was basically half of what Jones was. Jones was going to rip up my sidewalk and not put iback, my contractor didn't even touch my sidewalk. My contractor had the job done by 3pm the next day, Jones was not scheduling me until the following day. My contractor advised this was an emergency situation and handled as such. Conclusion -- always get a second opinion even if things seem pressing. Secondly I would not recommend Jones Heating and Plumbing to perform sewer drain pipe replacement, I would also advise that their prices are very high and you should make sure you comparitively shop around. -- I saved thousands using my contractor!!!

They are excellent; I have had no problems in 20 years. They are very reasonable, punctual, and they stand behind their work. Their pricing is fair and their quality is great. They are responsive; I call them and they will be here.

I feel they ripped me off of thousands of dollars.New Company I am using has never embellished just to get payed more WILL NEVER HIRE THEM ,...They come in nice and ended up extremely Bad

The same exact Generac Generator I wanted from Jones never came in after 30 days but I got it from Home Depot within two weeks. Jones wanted to charge me $2,800 for the generator and transfer switch install. I had my deposit refunded, purchased the generator and transfer switch on my own and had a different electrician do the install. I paid $1,708 compared to Jones quote of $2,800. I was a preferred customer of Jones for two years, NOT ANY LONGER!

I called for what I thought was a simple repair of a toilet. My serviceman arrived in 2 hours which was wonderful. He showed me the issues and explained everything as he went along. I decided on a full replacement. I was offered many options for replacement without any hard sell tactics. He then cleaned and serviced my heating system. My serviceman , Ken, was knowledgeable, professional and his work was meticulous. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

I am satisfied with the service that they provide. They are on time.

Our boiler went, and they sent somebody out and they tried out with a couple of parts that had to be replaced, and then while they were there, they said we actually should get a whole house surge protector because they thought that would rule out the boiler when we get power outages and then power goes back on and makes a surge again, and we didn't realize. We only had surge protector for the computer and the TV. We didn't have it for the boiler and didn't think that would be big deal, but it turned out we found out later that it ends up causing the custom on and off of power if we get power outages, they will just keep working at the electronics and finally blow them out, so we had the surge protector put in at the same time. We then went on to the annual maintenance agreement where they will come each year and check everything out. The parts were expensive and everything worked after that. They were little pricey, but they got the job done efficiently. I would rather pay for something to have it done right the first time than have to keep calling and come back. The guys diagnosed the problem right away. Actually there were two problems with the boiler, and they were able to fix that. Also one of the plans on getting the maintenance agreement, they put me at the head of the line, therefore if I have problem again, they will come at night or whatever. They are not going to make me wait saying they can't come for a week or so. Like is that the price we pay for doing that, but if the boiler goes off, I don't want to be waiting for a week.

I was dissatisfied with Jones Heating and Cooling, Plumbing and Electric. We had problems with the sump pump they installed. They sump pump burnt out under warranty and the back up system did not work with all the rain we had. They said they were not responsible for the unusual weather so they would not cover the warranty. Our basement flooded. They offered to install another system for $2,000.00 more. I do not recommend them to anyone. They are more interested in marketing than the work they do.

I paid $289 for the prepaid yearly boiler service. They are part of a larger local company that is very reliable. They are also available 24 hours for emergency service and that is how I found them about a year ago. The technician is friendly. I would continue to use them in the future.
