Description of Work: very professional and honest. Daughter used B&P weeks before I found them on Angie's list. House is very old 80-90 years - they told me the walls of the Chimney were in good condition - did not try to upsell or push a liner. I would recommend them highly. Easy to set appointment - they were there when they promised, and did a good job. Chimney was cleaned, old caps replaced - brick was repointed where loose, and clay added to accommodate the new caps.

Description of Work: Vapors from my boiler were causing condensation in my attic causing what appeared to be a roof leak. It was not a rook leak it was condensation the meeting of hot boiler air and the freezing cold air around the exposed part of the chimney. B&P came in and lined my chimney from head to toe and it completely fixed the problem. Great owner, professionalism of phone staff, and work! Peace of mind!

Description of Work: They rebuilt the top portion of my chimney. Most contractors stated that they would rebuild 21 layers high where B&P stated they would go 28 layers and at a cheaper price. We did have a question regarding design and left a message which was not returned but instead the owner Paul showed up on site to provide insight on why things were done the way they were. Craftsmanship looks great and they were extremely fast during demolition which including re-lining the basement. Obviously time will tell how everything holds up but we are confident.

Description of Work: They cleaned the fireplace chimney. The damper have been stuck in the open position and they got it to open and close. They also put the fireplace enclosure back more tightly which I appreciated.

Description of Work: Our Home was hit my Hurricane Sandy. A tree in our yard was uprooted and fell on our home, broke through the roof, made 10 holes and damaged the chimney/ We have a Oil chimney which suffered severe storm damage. The Crown was broken, missing the top flue segment, cap blew off exposing the liner resulting in damages and it was not able to contain any harmful byproducts anymore. The crew showed up the first time and evaluated our situation and was very detailed and honest. No problems these men were extremely professional. All the work was done in one day with no problems. The workers were very very clean and very professional and even gave us after tips on saving money and efficiency on all our heating utilities.

Description of Work: I asked B and P for an estimate for chimney repair, as I was told by A-one chimney that my terra cotta lining was cracked. Lo and behold it was not cracked and I almost lost at least 2,000.00 dollars--unreal!! never again will I use A-one chimney again. I had A-one do my dads chimney what a mistake!!!!However, Steve from A-one frightnened my dad by saying the chimney was so bad that it was going to explode.!!! In the end, Paul from BP Chimney came and inspected my Dad's chimney --unfortunately work was already done by A-one without a weather shield cap and A=one never changed the 3 inch smoke pipe to 4 inch--NEVER USE A-ONE!!!
