B & P Chimney Cleaning & Repair

GREAT! I have been using B & P for more than 30 years. They are reliable, dependable, their pricing is fair and honest and their front office is friendly and helpful. These people really know what they’re doing; they were able to get past a difficult bend in the chimney to recline without removing g bricks. They are just as responsive for a chimney cleaning as for a major repair. I wouldn’t use anyone else!

B&P Chimney folks are awesome. I called them up on Monday evening to get an estimate for Chimney cleaning/repair and they came by on Wednesday to take a look at the current condition. I was pleased to know that the owner Paul was personally there to help/do the work. Before even talking about the estimate, he and his employee inspected the fireplace, boiler, and the chimney. They even took pics of my chimney from the roof to show me what he was explaining. Glad to know that there are still honest people out there. He recommended just the very basic must do things and let me choose other things I asked. Absolutely no pressure or upsell of his services, infact he recommended me to check with fireplace company before putting chimney liners if it's really required(he does chimney liners too). They were professional, courteous and did a great job the same day they came to give me quote, how awesome is that. They are highly recommended.

So I wrote a review about a week ago which was less than stellar [ you can still read it and I can't amend it]. After my review the owner actually came by and personally apologized for the misunderstanding and offered to fix my problem. I said no it was OK and that he had done the right thing just by coming by, but, he insisted and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. It is not often that a business would respond to one bad review when they have so many good ones. They really care about their reputation and set things right. The owner can't be on every single job, but, when there was a problem, he stepped right up, fixed it and stood behind his work and reputation. I respect that. Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

Paul, the owner, showed up promptly, assessed the situation, clearly explained the process and costs, and scheduled work to begin within three days (with Thanksgiving in the middle). The crew from B&P Chimney showed up on time, did an excellent job, and daily cleaned up the mess prior to leaving. I now have a new, sound structure that I'm confident will last far longer than I will. The work included demolition of the old structure, a full rebuild of the brickwork, with crown and cap, the installation of a new stainless-steel liner that properly vents the boiler & hot water heater in the basement. B&P was terrific - they were the most reasonably priced that we could find, there were no hidden fees, they didn't try to upsell us to more expensive services like previous chimney cleaners have, and the worker was very informative about the condition of our chimney and how often we should have it cleaned.

They were good. They had to redo the work done by a previous company because the first company did such a lousy job. They were fair. They had to redo the job and even though I had to pay again they were fair. I think they did the right thing. They were very good and I had no complaints about them. They were very very nice. I hope I don't need to use them again but I would if I needed to. They were very responsive and very professional. They seemed to know what they were doing.

The workman came onetime and finished the job without problems.

It went very well, above and beyond. They started right on time and finished early, and the new chimney is beautiful.

They replaced the chimney; identified an additional problem -- a corroded flue pipe - for which they provided a stainless steel insert down to the boiler room. We see no problems. Everyone was polite and well-mannered, and the work seemed to go smoothly. A couple of minor surprises when they left -- they finished their work and left without telling us that they were done. And they had evidently turned the hot water heater temperature very low without telling us or restoring it. But everything's back to normal now.

Paul Lonergan and another man I did not get the name of showed up on time. Paul stated everything clearly and explained things as the work progressed. The entire experience was great, they were extremely professional and also polite and helpful at the same time. It's nice to have such a pleasant honest experience. Prior to having b & p come do the work, over the years I have heard numerous individuals praise this company and now I too am going to praise them and definitely recommend them, highly recommend them.

I received a call each morning to tell me when the crew would arrive. The crew showed up on time each day, They were professional, courteous and did an outstanding job taking down and rebuilding our chimney. Each day they swept, hosed and cleaned up before they left. I highly recommend this company.

B&P did an amazing job. The workers cleaned up after themselves and you would never have known they were there. From the estimate to the end of the job, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend them overv & over again

It didn't you have the wrong vendor .

Paul - the "P" from B& P - was on hand to supervise the job. His crew did a great job of removal, reconstruction and re-stuccoing.

Everything went smooth and flawless. Two guys that came to the job site did what they came to do on time, were professional, polite and cleaned up after themselves. The estimator was little rough around the edges but did not push me to buy services that I did not want or need, which I liked. He was punctual, which is important to me, and gave the estimate on the spot, which I liked even more. Four different office staff that I spoke to in four different occasions were all decent to excellent, especially the young gentleman who was actually taking notes on my requests, which NEVER happens in the business of construction. Overall, I would use their service again in a heartbeat. Thanks for making this experience hassle-free.
