The gas boiler had suddenly died and needed to be replaced immediately. Our 75 year old, 40 foot brick chimney had to be lined with stainless steel liner as required by code. The job was completed within a week and we were warm again. The service was extremely professional from the estimate to the actual installation.

My experience with them was great. They did a great job and they came on time. They confirmed the time the night before. They called in the morning to inform us that they were on their way. They came and did the job. There was no mess. They were professional and were excellent. We were happy with and we would recommend them.

Estimate and project set up was excellent ,the work to be done was explained in detail. On the work day they were punctual and went right to work, job was done in approx. 31/2 hours. I was concerned that the work was done during a violent rainstorm, and couldn't evaluate the finished work. As a result I probably would have asked for some extra stucco work. Other than that - The work was excellent and I was very satisfied with the end result , The workers were .pros and were very courteous and cleaned up well after the job.!

A squirrel in our basement was discovered to have entered through our chimney (see report on ARROW EXTERMINATING), where the cap made of screening material had evidently rotted out. I witnessed another squirrel entering and exiting the chimney and decided to have the damage repaired before he also invaded te interior of the house. I found B&P through Angies List, called them and they appeared within an hour. I had been warned that chimney repair people will try to sell you stuff you don't really need, but that was not the case here. Although he found some damage to the clay flues due to weather or possibly animal activity, he stated that they were still quite serviceable and didn't need repair at this time. Although I had been anticipating a large bill for additional repairs besides the caps, the actual work was done quickly and efficiently with minimal strain on the budget. One other thing: When entering the expense in my Quicken file, I discovered a missing check number and worried that I had forgotten an entry and had inaccurate balance information. Shortly afterward, the company called and informed me that I had ripped two checks out of my book and given the repair man a blank check along with the one I'd filled out. They assured me that they sould shred the extra check. It sure is nice to know there are still honest business people out there and thanks to the list we can still find them.

I?m very happy with B&P Chimney. They arrived on time and went straight to work. They knew what they were doing and did a great job. They also finished very quickly. Note, I had three estimates for the job and B&P Chimney was right in the middle.

Excellent job. Not the cheapest quote, but the most honest and straight forward offer. Did not try to sell extras, like other contractors did. I selected this contractor because I trusted him and the price was reasonable.

My chimney cap flew off during when it was very windy. I called several companies from Angie's. B&P was the first to answer the call. They gave an estimate of $35 to re-install my chimney cap, or $75 to install a new cap that they would provide. We made an appt the next day at around 10AM. They called my home about 9AM and told me they were running late due to an emergency and they would arrived around 1PM. They called about 20 minutes before they arrived. When they arrived, they determined that the existing cap was sufficient, so theyt reinstalled. While at my house, they took a look at the exhaust from my boiler/furnace. They told me I needed to spend over $1k to re-line my chimney and other stuff. A second opinion told me that it might not be necessary to spend this money becasue B&P did not even use a scope to see if there were a liner already.

They had promised a free chimney cleaning and that did not happened. The work they done was satisfactory as well as the quality of their work. I don't think I would have them do any other work done by them.

They got there exactly on time, after a confirmation call from the office that they would be there at 8:45 in the morning. They inspected and cleaned both fireplaces and made sure that each chimney was in working order. After cleaning, they suggested cleaning the furnace chimney as well. We agreed. They also suggested that we have caps put on the chimney, which we also agreed to. The cleanings cost $60 per chimney and the caps $125 each for three. They provide a 10 year guarantee on the caps and suggested 2-3 year check-ups/cleanings for the three. The total bill came out to around $600. These guys were great. They were on-time, professional and quick. I would use them again and recommend them.

I was told by a previous company that I needed a chimney liner which would cost me $2,300, not including labor with a five year warranty. I decided to get a second opinion. I called B&P for an estimate. Turns out that I don't need a liner yet, just the chimney cap and a cleaning. He told me to check the chimney on occasion and told me what to look out for. I asked when can they return to replace the chimney cap and clean it. They said they could take care of right away. While one cleaned the chimney, the other replaced the cap. That had to be the fastest service I ever received. They were both courteous, knowledgeable, very patient with my questions and most importantly, honest. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs chimney work done.

They arrived on time and and begin immediately with the repair. All material was removed and the areas around boiler was cleaned and left in great condition. They were professional and respectful of my home.

My call was answered right away and an estimate was scheduled for a few days later. They showed up for the estimate within the time frame and provided a detailed and accurate estimate. A date to complete the job was scheduled for a few business days later - but they called the next day to move the job up. A tropical storm was due over the weekend and they wanted to make sure the chimney was rebuilt in time to ensure loose brick work did not fall from the roof in the predicted high winds from the storm. I thought that consideration went above and beyond. The work was done within five hours and the work area was fully cleaned. Work product is of good quality. Everyone was professional and courteous. One thing to note - they have been in business for a long time and this company has a great "word of mouth" reputation in the area. Well deserved.

B&P did a great job. I got a written estimate in the winter, but didn't want to do the job then. Was pleased that they said the quote was good for one year. I called them back in the summer and was quickly able to schedule a time for the work. They were punctual and very professional. The work only took about a half day. They had to make a hole in the plaster and bricks above the fire place to seal the smoke chamber. They did an excellent job of re-bricking the opening, but they had warned me ahead of time that they weren't able to redo the plaster. No problem. Since I knew this ahead of time, I was able to schedule the plasterer for the next day. They were also extremely neat with their work, much more so than I had expected from my experience with contractors in the past. I had cleared the room, but they laid down plastic anyway and when they were opening the hole in the chimney, had a shop vac running right next to the power chisel that was making the hole. Thus much of the dust was captured before it could spread and settle. All in all, I was very pleased with the work and their professionalism. I'd definitely use them again. They weren't the cheapest, but I got four quotes for this job and they were right in the middle of a fairly narrow range so I consider their pricing fair.
